Need money to make money.

Holding promising altcoins is a good option.
Day trading bitcoin everyday with say a 2% gain will also help you achieve 2-3 BTC profit per year.

Also expect support for Bitcoin Cash (BCC) to rise.

Simple to guess that people will want faster transactions and a hard fork is the only good way to do it. Even Segwit2x implementation is too slow.

Yes but chargeback is not the only issue.

After a while they will limit your account and ask you the source of the funds.
Bitcoin trading is not allowed by paypal.

Just to clear out any doubts.

These casascius coins are considered to be a rare collector's item now. Many go for almost double the face value.

Op would be expective atleast 1.5 BTC for a 1 BTC casascius coin.

Could just be whales manipulating the market.
I think it will go upto 2400 ish and then fall back and then go up after aug 1st.

You know what they say, when everyone else is buying, you should sell.

Yes. Heat usually reduces the lifespan of electronics.
Lots of factors into it but mainly causes the solder joints to crack and onboard capacitors to go bad.

If you keep it cool enough then it will not be an issue and the components will last their regular time.

I always consider the price fall to be a good buying opportunity.
Holding for the long run.

Its unlikely that a block chain split will happen. Majority of the nodes are running Segwit.

Also expect BTC price to settle down to somewhere near 1800-2000 USD.
Its time to buy cheap coins.

There will be a large bull run after Aug 1st if everything goes according to plan

Re: what is segwit??
by
jaideep1000
on 15/07/2017, 15:59:26 UTC
Basically its stands for segregated witness.

Its a kind of update to the bitcoin protocol. Basically we're making more space in each block of the btc blockchain so that more transactions can be processed in a block.

If you noticed while bitcoin was at its peak a month or so ago, transactions were becoming slow to confirm and the transaction fees were becoming large.
Segwit basically solves this(to some extent) and makes bitcoin more scalable.

I could go more technical if you want more info.

Also most of the nodes are running segwit so it is very likely that it will activate by Aug 1st(thats the proposed deadling).

And we will see a large bull run in the market if everything goes well.

Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin?
by
jaideep1000

I was pretty much a kid when I entered into bitcoin. Well not exactly a kid but 16 years old.

Usually there's no need to teach em. Just give them a brief introduction and if they are interested they will learn.

Regarding taxes from regular trading.
by
jaideep1000
on 11/07/2017, 15:47:11 UTC
Wanted to ask a simple question.

Suppose I want to file my tax return from trading bitcoin.

Is it a good method to just make a weighted average between all the buys and sells I did and then calculate profit on that and pay taxes according to my tax slab?

Just started this year so please let me know if I'm missing anything.

I keep records of all my trades so have all the info on hand.(Although its quite a lot of data to process)

Thanks,
-J

Nice. Now how about you send us pics of Rigs that you build not images taken off of google search?
Place a placard with your name and current date on it against any of your rigs and then take pics.
That's how you establish proof, if you are familiar with any of the tech forums.

Agreed.

write down your name on a piece of paper and put it next to your cards and then take the picture.

Also Im pretty sure that most houses in Jaipur don't have carpetting installed on the floors
what about If I send to and fro air ticket to any hero member or legendary to visit my small farm of 10k mH/s. Im serious about this.

Yeah because sending air tickets would be easier compared to just posting a picture with a piece of paper with stuff written down?
