Re: My luck is very bad for crypto trading 😞

Yeap, it's difficult to monitor price changes due to crypto's volatility. And even advanced traders might fail in following all these declines and increases. That’s why people designed brokers which are aimed to help traders an let them focus on the process itself. I heard that CEX is going to launch its new platform (https://cexbro.com/) that will serve as a simple trading platform but with various tools and instruments. Personally, I’m going to use it for examining different strategies. I think that should be helpful in reconsidering some aspects of trading and picking an optimal strategy.

Re: stop loss management
by

A stop-loss helps to mitigate the risk by reducing losses when the crypto market falls. There are several different types of stop-loss: percentage, volatility, time stops; full, partial, and trailing stop loss. Each has its own pros and cons. There is no unique strategy and the choice of stop-loss completely depends on a trader. Anyway, this tool is useful and should be used whenever you open position. So far, not all crypto exchanges provide this feature. I read about the forthcoming opening of a new platform Cex Broker (https://twitter.com/cex_io/status/1102941285143506945 or https://cexbro.com/) that supports a stop loss, margin trading and other advanced features. A stop loss is a tool for risk managing, and I assume it saved many traders from a complete crash.

Re: What wrong on exchanger HITBTC ?

It seems like it isn’t the first time Hitbtc has a critical issue. I hope it was a little technical problem that is now fixed, but it also seems reasonable to switch the exchange. Although Hitbtc was launched in 2013, the number of active traders is still rather low there. Compare it to CEX (https://cex.io/buy-bitcoins) will millions of users. You won’t face such problems there.

Creation of the national crypto won't change a thing. Maybe, national digital currency will be more suitable for performing payments, but it will be fully controlled by the government in the same way as fiats are now. Bitcoin needs not control but regulations and also institutional investors.

The best option is to learn the theory and then master your skills in demo versions before starting trading. In my opinion, it’s better to start with a long trade (as it’s less risky) and after getting acquainted with the crypto market, try day trading. You should also find a reliable trading platform because there are a lot of scams. I would suggest you CEX which is perfect for beginners due to the intuitive interface. It supports fiat/crypto trading (https://cex.io/btc-eur) in addition to crypto/crypto pairs which is convenient for newcomers.

I completely agree with you. The decentralized structure of Bitcoin gives financial freedom from governments and banks. It is a unique payment system that eliminates intermediaries and reduces transaction fees. Bitcoin gives people full control over their funds.

I don’t think that political situation affects crypto but decisions on cryptocurrency regulation can influence the price. Bitcoin matures and becomes more resistant to news – its current low volatility proves it. There is no control over bitcoin. Whatever the political situation in each country is, it has no effect on the bitcoin stability.

Well... Is it not easy to train on bitcoin simulators? Or you can start with simple and easy-to-use exchanges like CEX – I started from there. And it was more helpful when I saw with my own eyes how it works and should work. I didn't face some problems 'cause trading there is quite convenient. Now I exchange eth for btc there (https://cex.io/eth-btc).

Re: The future of the market
by

The bubble of 2017 had to be corrected – and it happened. The hype vanished, and now we have the market that just depends on demand and supply. Current low volatility is temporal and convenient for the accumulation of cryptocurrencies, since the nature of the decentralized crypto is volatile and every participant of the market influences it. Everybody is standing on the sidelines because of the uncertainty. The year may end with bears ruling, but there are chances for the opposite result.

Well, it's not a question that can be answered objectively. Everyone will have their own preferences. I should say that both cryptos have their pros and cons and it's natural. There is a sense in buying both. I can suggest buying them on exchanges that accept cards or bank transfers, like CEX (https://cex.io/eth-eur).

Yes, we are, but that's just because we discover and maximize its opportunities. It's a natural process. As long as bitcoin and its technology develop, they will bring new opportunities and new focuses on how to use them. It is not bad, it’s just the next stage of development.

Re: Is the crypto market really for anyone?

Agree with NirvanaModa. Trading cryptocurrency is possible for everyone. Another thing is someone starts quickly to catch up, while the others go down that road repeatedly but in the end manage to make profits. Besides, I think that partially success depends on chosen exchange. If, for example, you're a newbie then it's better to stick to big and reliable exchanges, like CEX. But this place is ok for advanced traders too. In addition, it's preferable for exchange to support card payments, 'cause it's simple way to buy crypto. Luckily, aforementioned exchange provides its users with such service. There you can purchase both btc and altcoins like zec with usd or eur (https://cex.io/zec-eur).

Re: Crypto exchanges not helping Bitcoin!
by

Sorry, but I disagree. Crypto exchanges are wonderful as they attract newcomers to the crypto world. Where’d we all be without exchanges? How’d we all get our first coins? Miners are the very small caste of crypto community so far as the majority simply purchases coins. Some exchanges do a nice job of simplifying the process of getting crypto for fiats. For example, my first crypto, which I obtained from CEX, was xrp (https://cex.io/xrp-usd). There are only a few buttons and clear instructions for newbies, so they don’t feel confused. Surely, there are some speculations but, c’mon, nobody forces you to trade! Let it to whales or experienced investors if you don’t like this approach. Don’t blame on exchanges, they are useful for the community.

I use CEX for trading cryptos, altcoins in particular. The service is convenient for a short-term trading due to its user-friendly website and useful tools. But before starting to trade on this exchange, you should be sure that it supports your country. Though it operates globally, it still have some restrictions.

Yes, many banks are interested in blockchain, some of them even use it in their new products. But these acts have nothing in common with the acceptance of the cryptocurrencies, at least not in the nearest future. Banks give praise to blockchain but fervently criticize crypto. Banks and cryptocurrencies fundamentally contradict one another. Banks were, are, and will be centralized institutions aimed at controlling all the financial acts, while crypto is decentralized. Fast development and popularity of crypto is frighten banks.

As I know, most hardware wallets support Ethereum. And I would recommend using them 'cause they are considered to be the safest. Of course, such devices are quite expensive, but the security they guarantee is significant. Also, you could try putting a small portion of ETH for trading an the exchange wallet (at CEX or something like this) and keeping the rest on a hardware device.

Re: Have you ever been hacked on a crypto trading platform? (share your experience)
by
jaloto
on 01/10/2018, 16:34:40 UTC
Just yesterday my brother’s email was hacked for a period of 24 hours, during this period the hacker has already had access to all his trading accounts and transferred all his crypto assets worth over $5,000.

It was quite tragic, because the funds were not totally his, and it difficult to explain this scenario to his investors. From what i figured it was easy for the hacker to get away with such funds.

To avoid this kind of unfortunate incident, i implore crypto traders to make sure that there’s no loop holes in there trading accounts. I personally, trade on a hybrid trading platform (www.bbod.io) that runs a non-custodial smart contract wallet system where all account balances are held by a decentralized smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain. Centralized entities are too often hacked, our hybrid approach to decentralized safety combined with a centralized trading engine ensures the security of your funds whilst maintaining blazing fast transactions speeds.

That's really sad to hear... I feel sorry for your loss. Though I have never been hacked, but I can imagine how difficult it is to be in your shoes. I wouldn't even wish such loss to my worst enemy. Actually, there are almost no places, which don't have loop holes and totally immune to hacks. But we can reduce the risks of being hacked to minimum by choosing the exchange with solid safety measures. Maybe you should consider cex (https://cex.io/), as this platform is known by its high level of security. And it’s better to avoid keeping all your funds online, try to use a hardware wallet.

Re: is the beginning of the 2019 altcoin'll be back?
by

on 28/09/2018, 14:46:35 UTC
At some point altcoins depend on bitcoin. With a probability of 99% in 2019 bitcoin will remain the most reliable and popular coin. Btc determines the market, but during the general tendency of growth, some altcoins might turn out to be even more promising. It is hard if not possible to predict a future leader that’s why investors often choose several coins for their portfolio. In my opinion, the process of correction is ending, and the crypto market is at the edge of a rapid growth.

I could suggest to use CEX. The exchange is good for novices, quite user friendly. Its security level is really good. But if there don't have something you want, you can go to CoinMarketCap (as _Flynn_ has mentioned) and check the list of other exchanges.
