Well, this really sucks, I heard some guys living in a third world type of country were in this campaign and making a better living than what they can do with their exploitative jobs, proof that BTC is changing the world right there. Unfortunately campaigns come and go and now they are fucked again...

what are some other campaign that have decent rates like this? Hopefully they don't start lowering their rates now that the price of BTC is going up, that's just cheap. I also hope you aren't quitting the campaign because the price is going up and you don't want to pay more $$ to the posters..

I have thought about Localbitcoins, meeting with an actual person and getting the cash, but that is annoying as hell, I want to be able to withdraw money from an ATM instantly, without depending on some random person being available that may or not rob you.

I've thought about mixing, but I have no idea how that works and i have no idea if that even solves the problem.

You may use mixer, but that would actually bring in more trouble to you. Because the coins that comes out of mixer are mostly traced back to some notorious source. If you can find any mixer that gives out freshly mined coins, that is a deal for you.

Once you get your coins, use www.localbitcoins.com or www.100bit.co.in for directly sell those coins. Do not need to meet anyone personally. Sell online. Just avoid to good to be true offers. That's all. It is super easy Smiley
The bank would know you received a transfer
what is the biggest amount of BTC to sell before it becomes a problem and raises alarm for the bank?

this still sucks compared to withdrawing cash from an ATM instantly.

How would they tax on stuff bought and sold with it? what kind of stuff? what is the required price where you start getting taxed?
if they buy a smartphone they will get taxed or what?

A company that sells you a smartphone (or anything else) has to pay VAT - with or without Bitcoin.

I dont mean about the company but the person buying.

Lets say you are spanish and you make 3 BTC with signature campaing or whatever, you withdraw with BTCpoint and want to use this cash to buy an iPhone.

Do you have to pay any taxes or something? how much can you withdraw without getting in trouble?

Wow, nice to hear. Is spain the first country that officially announced this?

Ya, I think Germany was first; it announced that Bitcoin would be treated the same as a foreign currency, which is largely the same rules:  Tax on stuff bought and sold with it, but no tax for exchanging it.

To cash out you'd have to check localbitcoins and see if there's people near you that want to buy what you're willing to offload. The only downside to this is getting robbed or the police stinging and charging you with money laundering or some crap like that.
Thats why I said I don't like localbitcoins.

I just dont know why satoshi made the blockchain like this. Who in hell is going to not do something about it if they can, to make it more anonymous?

I just want to cash a couple hundred USD to enjoy my vacations ffs.. but if I do, the blockchain will trace where all the bitcoin comes from and they can tell my total holdings. This is stupid. Everyone with half a brain is going to try to avoid this, so why not make it invisible by default?

How to convert to fiat anonymously?
by

Let's say you made some money through faucets, signature campaign, whatever, and you have 5 BTC.
You want to convert 1 BTC to fiat, to enjoy your vacation (unfortunately, Bitcoin is still underground and not enough merchants to pay directly with it).

How do I get the cash anonymously?

I still dont get whats the point of having a transparent blockchain. Why the fuck people has to be able to trace the history of my Bitcoins and know my total amount of BTC?

Let's say I want to use Chip Chap and withdraw some cash at an ATM (in case you dont know what this is:

http://bravenewcoin.com/news/4000-atms-bitcoin-enabled-through-chip-chap/)

I think in spain they got something similar called Bit2me or BTCPoint.

Anyway, let's say I want to withdraw that cash... you need to give your phone away so they will know the origin of your BTC and potentially be able to tell how much you got, where it came from etc, and potentially you are setting yourself to be taxed in the future, if they discover you are holding 5 BTC, or 100, whatever. They got your phone, they got the transaction, and they can easily look on the blockchain to inspect where it all came from. You know what I mean? That is just crazy. How can I avoid this shit?

Since there is some debate on mandatory 2 FA authentication throws in 2 cents.

I'm against it myself and prefer it optional since it's a pain, I keep it off unless it reaches a certain threshold amount where it becomes worth waiting for a text from the tower.

The same thing can be done with PVC's which is banking standard procedure
(personal verification questions)
What school did you attend in Elementary School
What is your favorite toy
What was your first car
That basically is 2FA without the technological depth or reliance of phone integration, so its all about the alternatives, that said think this should have all been discussed in the suggestions thread you guys fufufu Tongue

Forced 2FA is a nightmare, i use secure login with firefox so all I need is a simple click to access the exchanges.
If im moving any relevant amount of money I would care to take the extra measures, other than that is just annoying.
if I was on this campaign all the sure of x-bit I would use is to withdraw the coins from the signature campaing, i dont need 2FA for that...

Considering registrations are closed and considering BTC is stuck at this low price, has a raise of payment been considered?
People are asking this every time bitcoin price goes down. Funny they are not asking about downgrading their payment when bitcoin price goes higher.
And it is not like BTC is 'stuck' it will rise again, just earn coins now, wait for pump and you will be good. The best part of bitmixer's campaign is its stability.

People are greedy. It has always been like this.

There is no reason for Bitmixer to increase payments. 0.035BTC is 0.035BTC no matter what the exchange rate is showing.
Bullshit. If the exchange rate was 1 BTC = 1 USD you wouldn't bother.
Right now 0.035 BTC is 8 dollars. This is Low specially for those Sr Member and above, most of the other campaings are paying way better. Whats attractive from this campaing is definitely the fact that it's automated and you don't have to deal with the campaing owners, having to re-enroll every month and have luck that no one takes your spot again etc... thats fucking annoying. The sense of stability is crucial, knowing that month after month you'll get paid is HUGE, it feels more serious, it feels even more as a real job than for a lot of people living in shitty countries were their jobs are temporal and then they get kicked, sometimes after days.
The problem is when BTC price goes down it starts being a bit not worth the time and effort.
The next step to make this the ultimate campaing is automating the payment depending on the Bitcoin price. Stablishing a decent amount in USD which is non volatile, then get paid these USD monthly in BTC. This solves the problem

Yeah, because when that person decides to dump their coin on the market.  Poof!  Bubble popped!

And he will be still FIAT rich while the rest remain FIAT poor.

Re: Here's why Paypal loves bitcoin, put simply
by
jamescameron2312
on 03/10/2014, 15:39:13 UTC
Maybe paypal is thinking that with bticoin they are going to act as an escrow so to speak. Buyer pays Paypal, buyer receives product, buyer confirms product is in working order, Paypal releases funds to seller. This would be the first large scale escrow company and Paypal would be justifying their existance and their right to skim a couple percent off the purchase. Without Paypal doing the escrow, it would leave them vulnerable to customers simply skipping them completely as they have no value to add. For Paypal to succeed with bitcoin they need to make it the first and biggest way to pay with bitcoin on ebay before any other company accomplishes that task. Once it is the new norm, people will use paypal only for bitcoin transactions and nothing else.

This would be the only reason for a merchant to adopt paypal. An official wordwide rechonized scroll so you don't get scammed in your ebay business. Hopefully ridiculous fees are not on their intentions otherwise it will fail.

How can bitcoin be scam after having $6+ billion market capacity.    Huh

That means nothing, there are registered multi billion dollar scams out there in history.

But it's not a scam tho, it's just technology and you are freely deciding to own some of it. thats all.

Re: Protectionism

Protectionism is an interesting subject. It's a rallying around behind the state in times of either capital expansion or capitalist decline. It can't possibly be a communist thing because it is predicated on international capital and also internal capitalist relations. Unless you think hermit kingdoms are some how socialist but if you think that then you're probably intellectually deficient in several areas. It's almost as if people posting here don't realize that capitalism is a world system
