That setup with the fans at 80% is loud enough that you wouldn't watch television in the same room. Not sure about a lower fan speed.

I am sleeping almost next to my rig ^^. Not using a case. I set fans to 40-50 on my sleepmode, and 70% during the day. There is a winter here so they are still at 75C even in sleep mode.

my setup
3x Toxics 280x
1x MSI TWIN FROZR 280x

I'm intending to build a 2 x R9 280X with 850W PSU - which mobo CPU should I get?

Where should I mine for most profits?

pretty much any mobo will run 2 cards - if You don't plan to expand, that is Smiley
if You intend to use it only for mining then get cheapest parts:

OP you probably don't need escrow if you're dealing with Austin.

Thank You for Your advice.
By the way, I decided that I would just sell my DOGE so I will not lose some percents via taking the loan, I hope they won't reach so called moon in those 3 days Wink

My apologies for the trouble, will ask again if I need.

Guys, please be carefull with tweaking Your card. I think I pushed it too much, or GPU was bad since the begining(always had some higher temps than others). I found my card dead recently Sad

Replacing it soon, maybe I will try some cheaper one, like Powercolor and see how much I can squeeze out of her...

Hello there, one of my GPU in my rig broke down, and I want to replace it as fast as possible. I would need about additional 0.2 BTC  to purchase it with my current funds.

I can offer 120 000 DOGE as collateral. Returning 0.21 BTC in few days (my salary will come at 10th). I would prefer someone trusted + escrow.

Thank You Smiley
The current price of doge on cryptsy is 0.00000159btc.

0.00000159 * 120000 = 0.1908

I'll give you this loan if you can either give me more collateral or reduce the loan below the value of the collateral. I'm fine with an escrow holding the doge, if that's what you'd prefer.

Oh sorry, thought it is abit more. Is 140000 okay?

@Tomatocage
I intended to do it this way:
1. I send DOGE to escrow
2. loaner sends me btc
3. i return btc directly to loaner
4. escrow returns me my DOGE

isn't it how ussualy it's done? Please tell me if there is any flaw in my plan. I would also like to get some tips who could be the escrower Smiley

I think Vapor-x would be faster than MSI, because people compare Vapor-x to be the same as 280x TOXIC cards, and on my rig, with few days of tweaking I couldn't get more than 745 on MSI, and TOXICs run 800+ for me:

I recently bought 3 Sapphire Toxic's from a group buy here, + 1 MSI in local shop, and I have to say that MSI is a "little bit" worse:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=438191.msg4804508#msg4804508

But funny thing, in your case... GPU0 being your MSI right ? It's the coldest one Smiley
You're running on open-air or chassis ?

Thanks !

I had lower fans set for toxics at that time:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=438191.msg4844662#msg4844662

all fans at 55% and lowered power usage

EDIT:
Oh, and open-air Smiley

how many power does all cards draw?

My new Watt-o meter shows approx 1400W Smiley

Wow, that's a lot for 4 cards.... Your KH / W ratio is so low :|

There are some advantages of working for a big corporations. My fiancee for example works as an accountant for the power distributor we are getting power from. They do give 90% discount for everyone  who works for them I think. Or up to 100% depending on Your position there. I do have a nice -90% tho, so power usage is not a big concern for me Wink

I played abit with the script settings for ya, this is the result for less than 1250W for all:

http://s10.postimg.org/jloheckqh/1250.png

GPU 0 - MSI Gaming Twin Froz
GPU 1-3 Sapphire Toxic

EDIT:
Settings same as in previous post, but memory down to 1500 in all cases, gpu-engine: 1050,1086,1086,1086
all fans at 55

Is that MSI card you have the 'MSI gaming' with default core clock of 1050?

I was considering those, since this guy gets 820kh/s from them.

Yes its MSI gaming card, I have tried his settings, I don;t know why, but I am getting 600Kh/s using his settings...

Considering the fact he has 67C on one card and 80C on second I am assuming its just a fake..

Thanks for the info. Why would anyone fake this? That's just plain stupid. But anyway, I'll consider it with my purchase.

I don't know, maybe he works for MSI Cheesy
Maybe it requires some tweaking with BIOS or something like that, but I couldnt get past 750 on my MSI card. And it gets hot faster when I set all fans to 70%

Have you ever done Xfire or SLI setups before?

That's completely normal, one card heats the other. You wonder why people use raisers and place cards further apart?

You could rig a fan between but even that with 24/7 mining won't be too effective. If you plan on cramming 3 cards, 2 of them will run hot unless you decide to watercool.

80C is not that bad honestly, put all three cards in and mine for a hour and report back with temps you can always rig a fan on top of the cards to help dissipate heat.

Thanks !

You got me ! I'm a SLI virgin Smiley
As a matter of fact, I haven't had this chance so far... because I'm a Mac user (where there was no SLI support so far)
But I already had up to 2 GPU inside my Mac Pro to run on multiple screens, and never had since so intense issue/difference.

Yes, I have seen those awesome rigs people are mounting on open air, but I thought it was because they were putting 5, 6, 8 cards on such a small place.
Plus I thought that with a 3 huge fan chassis that wouldn't be a problem to host only 3.

80C is not that bad, I agree, but it's because it has been underclocked a lot (850Mhz instead of 1050Mhz), but at normal speed I'm around 100C (after 10/20 minutes) and I feel like the card is about to die with that horrible noise.

Question : Is MSI a good brand ? Should I go any other one ? Is it the way the fans are made maybe, should I go instead with those "reference cards" (you know the ones with the turbine and rear extraction of the heat) ?

Hi, I got a package, but only 10 cards there??!! I bought 20 Where are the rest?

Hey as I explained to You in a private message due to huge size of the packages I had to split them in half. You should get second one soon, I am suprised You did not receive them at the same time :O
I sincerelly hope so. You are Polnishe so I am expecting everything from Your kind.

Okay, that is just RUDE.

1. Don't You think if he was to rob You he would keep all the cards for himself?
2. Also, You enter the groupbuy out of nowhere, like You do not care about anything, including Your money and yet now You act mad because? Because You will get 2nd part few hours later or a day later?
3. I am really, really positive suprised how business with him has worked out for me, and I can bet You 1 BTC that You will get the rest... Up for it?

Don't throw everyone in the same bag please, I know what Germans thinks about our people, but You should really reconsider that sentence before You wrote it...

My 2 cents
