I have pm'd him also, my own "pending" and "total" balance has changed many times. I do not know how they are calculated, but it does not say estimate.
Since it his business I am sure ethought will confirm, and hopefully correct any errors if errors are present.

24 hour earnings are estimated, and depend on the other miners hashing power, and the pools success at finding blocks on the network. It will change often and means little when a coin is young.

For network health, we should look at some more pools.
I would like to avoid multipools and pools which auto convert to other currencies.
Perhaps we should research and approach some mining pools.

We should also create the IPM pool soon, it is a 5% donation but that goes to the foundation for the future of the coin and strengthens the value of any coins earned.

I'm not talking about estimated earnings. I'm talking about:  Total Earnings (Last 24H).  This shouldn't be swinging by 100's of coins, and shouldn't be dropping by about 20 each time 1 is confirmed to my balance available for withdraw.

I have some problems with the miningpool.co:
1) balance is not updated (I received two transactions and then balance is frozen);
2) incorrect Total Earnings (was decreased from 8 to 6).

Please contact miningpool.co support for this. Perhaps there was an orphan block?

Remember that Bitmark takes 721 confirmations to mature, which is normally 1 full day. The rationale for this decision can be found on the wiki.

I send the PM to ethought. My Bitmessage can't connect to network.
It's not an orphan block and blocks are matured.
I received reward for first 200 blocks only (I mined from start) and then something was broken.

It's like the donation percentage is at about 85% or something.  Every time I get coins confirmed I lose a ton off my 24h earnings.

If that's a block erupter it wont work for this.  You need a scrypt asic or a gpu to mine this coin.

Maybe try sgminer.  Did you say you were using a bitcoin asic?

I wouldn't advise using the pool though something is messed up.  I lose about 20 coins every time  1 gets confirmed in my account balance.  I'll be lucky if I end up with a dozen after finding 25 blocks.

do you have scrypt in your .bat file?  You may need to use version 3.7 cgminer I can't remember when they stopped supporting scrypt.

I'm seeing this too, it's shaved about 50 coins so far that I've noticed.   Pool is stating 0 orphans as well.   No other pools are jumping on this?

put pause at the end of your batch file so you can see what sgminer says is wrong.

Guys  I know it's taking longer then we all wanted MN to take!!

Trust me I want this part of the project over way more then you guys want MN launched. I have spent so many hours and days on this code, it's a major project just know we had to overhaul the whole code to do this.

I appreciate your work too!  Take your time, and get it right.  I don't care if it takes a year or two, I'm in no rush to buy a pizza with 10000 OC.  Wink

What will the mining algo be? Isnt Scrypt PoW a lil outdated?

Scrypt, yes. Outdated not at all, perhaps mature and well supported are more descriptive of the algorithm. Remember "Our aim is to create a relatively stable, user focussed, crypto currency which refines and implements maturing innovations from the crypto currency sector" ... "no hype or gimmicks, just a project which focusses on becoming a stable every day currency".

Rationale from https://github.com/project-bitmark/bitmark/wiki#proof-of-work : """Scrypt. A well balanced proof of work algorithm which is widely supported and for which hardware support is maturing. Large investment has been made by the mining community, and continues to be made. Whilst there are benefits to both Proof of Stake and multiple algorithm approaches, we feel that Scrypt PoW and the balanced coin release schedule which can be achieved with long term block rewards is the most suitable for this long term project. With an abundance of mining hardware available already it should also ensure a healthy network from the start."""

Has scrypt been proven to do the job we require? Yes.
Is scrypt broadly supported? Yes.

We don't want to reinvent the wheel here, rather we want to ensure the wheel is smooth, well oiled, and stable... fit for purpose.

Thanks for your question danny, and please do review and question further, all input is most welcome.

If your going to use an asic driven algo why not sha-256 then?  I don't think anyone with gpu's is excited about scrypt, so it's hard to say using it would be done with gpu's in mind.  If you want to go that route sha-256 can be mined with gpus too.

Re: [ANN][X14] X14Coin - No more, No less! - Launched

Dev, what is your plan for x14?
The plan of X14 is up to you! The community!
with the block reward schedule, you can see X14 isn't a sprinter, X14 is a marathon runner. Pump and dump also meaningless with that premine. Also premine will be given to the community as rewards in time. I want X14 driven by the community in fact. I'm not in a hurry about exchanges and promotion. If community support it, eventually it will appear on exchanges!
Do not forget, X14 using only the 14 hashing algorithms which accepted to round 2 in competition. Just right number for hashing rounds. 14. No more, No less!

I wish I had not done mining this coin if I know that you did not have any road map for this coin. Btw thanks for your reply.

What kind of plan would satisfy you?

I was lucky to find OC in the last couple days of pow.  Diff had dropped, and  I managed to solo just over 100k,  I only wish I had found it sooner.  As with most of my coins, I'll be a longer term holder.  I have high hopes for this one.

Also i have normal cpu usage until I run sgminer, even if I run CGminer I still get 100% usage I was thinking maybe it was the drivers, but since the other machine isn't doing it I'm kind of stumped.

I have 2 machines running this with 14.6 drivers.  one machine is showing normal cpu usage.  The other is showing 100%.  Both only show one process sgminer*32.  The only difference between the 2 machines is I had slimcoin miner on the one acting funny, but nobody is answering my questions there.  This issue started over the weekend and the only downloads I made were these kernels and the slimcoin wallet.  I've since removed the slimcoin wallet and the miner and still having the issue.  I don't want to accuse slimcoin of this, as if may have been due to something else.  I just trying to see if anyone experiencing the same issues.

Any ideas why when I run sg or cgminer now I get 100% CPU usage with a pop up threat from malwarebytes pointing to my slim miner folder?

Any one else having this issue?  If not, I need to keep searching where this problem came from.

Any one else running sgminer on the same machine as the slim miner?

Will this work for 7950's?  I've seen report of all the R9's but no 7900 series card?

7970's work I would imagine 7950's too.
