I must tell you that people here have been connecting UID's for months if not years and invariably one of the accused users will come on and say it is their brother/sister mother/father uncle/aunt cousin/nephew/niece ...

Because we have heard it all before, time and time again, we become less inclined to believe it.  But go ahead and try.  I doubt it'll work.  The more you dig in, the more they will (As will I) as evidenced by YOSHI connecting another alt to your account.
