We're prepping to create the exchange on the blockchain, but that requires a lot of functions to be added.
According to development we're at 45% progress of these functions. Currently finishing the reporting Module. (accounting)
After that its time to do updates on Mining.

Current maintenance is over, so wallets and mining should be fully operational.

The new update for the platform will be put on the testnet for testers to test in 24h

Transfer Fees are not fixed yet. We have set it to 0.001 AVE per TX just for the sake of testing and testing the reporting.
In the future transfers between AVE accounts will probably be free.
And for Point of Sales Transfers TX fees might be set to 0.001 AVE for Priority in Proof of Work. (Avesta payment Protocol)

About the opensource / decentralised argument.

Our blockchain/node is open source.

The platform on that blockchain is closed.
This will be come a services platform for payment services and trading etc...

And blockchain is controlled for now for the sake of development speed. We can't add a feature to the blockchain if we would have to ask the community for updating their nodes and then have mining consensus. With the fear of forks.......

And since the nodes decide the miner rewards and have to do the payouts. It can take at this moment several days for the balance to confirm, because we want to administrate and check fair payments. Which will become <1hr in the future.

The thing is, with a block-time this fast the change is very very big several people find the same block at the same time.
Thats why 1.0 AVE of the block-reward is held in by the nodes to payout the rest of the miners for their effort.

The nice thing of Avesta is that everyone gets rewards distributed more fair, and don't need the use of mining pools anymore.

- You don't need a desktop wallet to show the TX's of the blocks found, you need a block explorer.
- You can always download Avesta Core v2 and sync the blockchain and run your own explorer if you don't trust it.
- Mining is currently only supported with Mining software that connect with our custom protocol, and don't expect to see any GPU/Asics in the new future.
- Finding 3 blocks doesn't mean you get rewarded 3 blocks, you have the chance to get rewarded.

We probably update 7 days a week, but only come out once a week.

Maintenance Notification:

The weekend of 10-15 march AVE platform and mining will temporarily be on maintenance to update to Avesta Core v2

It is just software reporting, When a block has been found before you it will say couldn't submit block.
It should have said block already found - (we didn't add this reporting yet)

Coudn't submit should be more specific either: already found, Incorrect block, Newer top block available.

Just faster CPU's that find more blocks get this occasionally. Its a combination of CPU speed and Latency.

We're NOT taking any Dev-Fee during mining, but this will be rectified while we're finishing up the mining rewards distribution nodes.
At the moment we havn't finished the rewards back-log as of yet.

the 1.9 AVE at this moment will be given to the miner who found the block, the 1.0 AVE will be deposited into the payment nodes for the fair distribution of other miners who supported the network but didn't get paid while the block was found.
This way current miners still get rewards while we're finishing up the Reward Consensus system.
Gradually moving over to a full consensus mining rewards distribution.
