I don't really see Mintcoin going any lower. Mintcoin is lots of fun and the devs and community are continually building the infrastructure. This is important for growth and for added value which will push the price up and quickly. Mintcoin reached 64 satoshis overnight from 20 satoshis and it will again. This time it could easily push past 200 satoshis. I can sense big things in the works for Mintcoin in the coming weeks. Mintcoin to the moon.
Hope you're right bro! Really hope so. What else can we as coin holders do to help out the entire effort? I've already annoyed everyone I knoe telling them about Mintcoin and I've given away 50,000 to people to get them to download the wallet and get into the coin. Any ideas about what else to do?Ways to boost the price include adding exposure, value, and utility to the coin which creates demand and adding direct demand subsequently raises the prices.
--You can post an ad on Craigslist offering free Mintcoins. Put up a description of PoS, etc.
--Post up paper ads at college/university bulletin boards advertising Mintcoin.
--Give Mintcoin to friends and family and tell them to give a few to other people as well.
--Make ad campaigns on Facebook advertising Mintcoin.
--Advertise Mintcoin using Google, that goes to a landing page which you create that teaches people about the wonders of Mintcoin.
--Put up ads in hardcopy newspapers.
--Contact all sorts of online merchants and ask them to accept Mintcoin to improve sales. This may be hobby shops, precious metal stores, gun shops, flashlight retailers, battery retailers, toy retailers, anyone, spread the word.
--Whenever you see small sell walls, try to eat them up. Or put up buy support just a hair under the highest bid price.
--Whenever some event may possibly push the price up, try to put some BTC in to support the cause, eat the sell walls, or pick at them, and add support to the buy side. Every little bit helps. Spread the word about what you are doing as well, try to get concerted action from others.
If one hundred people did everything on this list the results would be incredible. If 500 people would participate then we would really get somewhere.

Seriously, I've seen other coins list the top 10 holders or similar statistics. Does Mintcoin have anything similar? I'd like to know just how big the whales are.

There's no meaning of this, as one can have many different addresses at the same time, so it's still possible that there are some really huge whales on MintCoin.

There have been rumors going around that Mint is going to be pumped, and the rumors could be possibly true, but there is a 96893107.37617337 sell wall set at 24 sat on Mintpal. So unless this order is set by the pumpers to keep prices low until the pump is ready, it will be difficult to break through the wall. But it is clear Mint prices are being kept artificially low.
Didnt you see the 25 bitcoin buy in one hit about an hour on cryptsy at 25 satoshis?
These are simply cappers trying to get more cheap.

b) not selling at 30 and rebuying at 20 - No balls on me for day trading!

WTF Mintpal. I sold at 18 and wanted to buy back in at 17. I have been doing this all week and have made a considerable amount, however, when I saw it rising I went to cancel to buy back in, I don't mind loosing a little as I am still up overall. I tried to cancel and I can't. Now it's at fucking 30! So i'm pissed off right now. I've basically lost half my coins, and if it keep on going then forget it, ill just put my BTC into another coin. Fuck this.
Don't day trade with half of your coins...for exactly this reason. If you are new to day trading, you must know that you are not going to win 100% of the time, there is considerable risk. When a bad trade happens, you don't want to get wiped out. I think the general rule of thumb is using 2%-3% of your total. That way if things go bad you are only out 2-3%.

I hate the fact that big whales are manipulating the prices so they can benefit allowing people to panic sell into their trap. Everyone should remain calm and not follow suit. Let them bite themselves in the ass when they can no longer buy in and have to panic buy. As much as I hate to say this we need cryptsy...
Maybe the exchanges will start moderating minimum buy/sell orders and deposit balances similar to that of fiat exchanges to help prevent whale behavior. And much larger than the minimums that mintpal has in place now.

same here.. the charts are behind 30mins+ and i can't cancel an order.. it tells me the order isn't mine.. the fuck it isn't.
