closing my own thread
by
jargal
on 20/01/2018, 22:06:23 UTC
I asked a question (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2759400.0), and got an answer for it, and I m grateful to those who answered.

Problem is that now I have 3 pages with exactly same answers repeated over and over agin, and no add whatsoever.

How can I close my own thread please?

It s nice but I dont understand something:
if you win you get 1.7 * betsize. If you loose, you loose betsize. So the expected gain (if you assume p(up) = .5 = p(down)) is -.15.
But you say the contract's gain on a traed is .03*betsize. So where is  the remaining .12 going?

The price is too high when investors can't make the difference between token price and market cap.

I am with you Bro. The fall is fake and will not be sustained. It happened as we can see it now Bitcoin is $12500. I hope that we hit $15000 before the fall of next week.

What is the difference between fake and real fall?

I'd say they want the price to go up slightly so people think Bitcoin is on the up and then buy it.  It's hard to say if this recovery is temporary and it will fall again.  I thought it would fall to around £6k sterling but it didn't.  .

who is "they"please?

there are so many good managers in this forum you can see that they handle big projects.
I give you some popular names:
- Jamal
-Sylon
-If-sir
-Woshib.

and many more, I can not mention one by one.

I have been on this forum for about a year but never knew who the bounty managers were. How did you come up with this list please?

How about having people pay a small amount for posting, and a slightly larger one for an [ANN]?
That would do with spam no (although not with scam)?

We launch ICO, one project.

We want to check whether the market is ready to accept the product. All discussions in the topic.

The volume of the market is $ 14 billion a year.
There is a working model.
There are no analogues, the product solves the real problem.

Can you be more explicit please?

Re: Advisor's Role in an ICO?
by
jargal
on 20/01/2018, 19:10:38 UTC
One thing that Vitalik pointed out is for ICOs to be more specific on what the Advisor's Role is. Currently, it is just getting influential individuals to the project and a brief explanation of their background. Each advisor involved in the project definitely has some things they can contribute greatly to ensure the success of a project and that is why we need to know more of what they can do and will be doing in the project and the responsibilities they have been involved. Not just finding some irrelevant famous guy to fill the slot.

Can you give me a link to VItalik's comments please?

Re: explain what Airdrop is
by

on 20/01/2018, 19:09:27 UTC
Airdrop is simply free coins from a certain ICO. They give free tokens to spread out their tokens and make everyone hold their token. With this they can raise more tokens and they can attract more investors. The more people have their token the more investors look into their tokens.

OK, Thanks for answering my question. By now I got enough answers I guess.

Functioning is that you appoint yourself into a list that will be given X amount of tokens. Implications are marketing, means you will own their tokens plus you will advertise them via different social media sites, forums and overall ways to earn more of their tokens... Basically is just paid advertisement

So there is no unreciprocated airdrop? How is it different from bounties then? I thought airdrop was distributed gratuitously.

Thanks a lot for these answers. But what if the ICO lead does not pay the bounty for instance? Does anything prevent this scenario?

Well... here (http://www.ey.com/Publication/vwLUAssets/ey-global-ipo-trends-q3-2017/$FILE/ey-global-ipo-trends-q3-2017.pdf) it reads that total IPOs for 9first month of 2017 was 130B (that seems super low though...?) ... and from what I gathered, 2017 ICOs amounted to about 5B.... at that rate...
