Re: How to determine if RTX 3070 ti rev 1.0 is FHR

Thanks a lot guys. I finally got a 3070 FHR for 940 USD. Will continue to look for more RX 3070 for a reasonable price.

Why do you write FHR and not LHR ? Is it intended or are the F and L keys very close on your keyboard ?
Not sure I have seen a keyboard with F and L keys next to each other.

Anyway it was intentional. I decided to buy a 3070 FHR card with 62 Mhs instead of RTX 3070 ti LHR card which I think generates about 54 Mhs.

What are your top solo mining cryptocurrencies?
by

Hi there mining experts,

I've been reading about solo mining and it appears there are some altcoins out there that are good for solo mining. Most of these potentially would grow in future in terms of their market price and would give the opportunity to make a reasonable profit. I'm interested to know how you are going with your solo mining journey and interested to know what is your choice of crypto currency for solo mining and why?

Thanks,

I found a RTX 3070 ti which has no mention of LHR in the box or the white label on the side. Even the model number has no KL or KR.I believe first 4 digits of the serial number identify the year and week of the manufacturing date and according to the serial number it is SN2145 which is 2021/Nov. Given this is a new card could it be a LHR card though the label states it is rev 1.0 ?

Why ethermine pool gas fee is higher than what's on ethereumprice.org
by

on 13/01/2022, 01:22:29 UTC
Hi there experts,

I've been mining ETH on ethermine pool and wanting to set the minimum gas price based on data shown in ethereumprice.org. However I noticed gas price in ethermine pool is always much higher than market price shown in ethereumprice.org.

Is there a particular reason for this? Are there any reliable source for monitoring gas fees ?

Thanks,

Re: Is the Nvidia RTX 3060 rev 1.0 full hash rate
by

You might be confusing the 3060ti for the 3060 as the 3060ti rev 1.0 gets 60 mhash.

Does this mean 3060 ti has no restrictions on hashrate and can reach 60Mhs with any version of driver and without any special configuration or unlocking?

Does this applies to all 3060 cards including old and new? are they all restricted either by driver or by firmware ?

What description? On website or on the GPU package itself?

On the retailers website they have included the usual NVIDIA image under the card description. In few retailer websites I have seen 25 Mhs under their LHR definition.

Hi there experts,

I have been looking into buying a 3060ti card and noticed the description says it does 25Mh/s. However majority of the websites providing GPU efficiencies has reported 3060 ti (LHR) model having 41 Mh/s.

Is this a limit set on all the new 3xxx series cards?

Re: Is Nvidia RTX 1080 TI card good for mining ETH and RVN?
by

on 08/01/2022, 11:54:49 UTC
I'll give an example, 6700XT hashrate is 47Mhs on ETH, consuming 130w on the wall while 1080ti will do 42~43Mhs with 180~200w

Thanks a lot. Does this mean AMD is better than NVIDIA, in terms of price, electricity and hashrate ?

Hi there,

I have been reading a lot about RTX 1080 ti and it appears to be providing a reasonable hashrate compared to newer generation GPUs. It appears to be capable of delivering around 43 MHs based on comments I found in this forum. Is it a good idea to buy 1080 ti GPU? Would it work with standard installation or does it need any special configuration to get it working for mining?

Thanks

the 3060 Rev. 1.0 gets @47MHash only with 470.05 drivers... that is their full hashrate.  Any drivers later than that are limited by the drivers.  the 3060 rev 1.0 has never gotten 60mhash.   You might be confusing the 3060ti for the 3060 as the 3060ti rev 1.0 gets 60 mhash.

Thank you for the clarification. I will see if I can find a 3060 ti for a reasonable price Smiley

MSI afterburner settings: Power limit 49%, memory +1250mhz, some undevoltage settings: open frequency /voltage curve editor by presing ctrl+f and lock voltage on 750mV by clicking on square in line with 750mV on x ose then lock it by pressing L.
You will lower power consumption to around 116-117W and hashrate will be around 61 Mh/s.
Works on mine Gigabyte rtx 3070 gaming oc  Wink

Awesome. Never used the voltage curve but I shall give it a go Smiley

If I recall right with the nvidia driver 470.05, yes.

Thanks @Metroid. I think 470.05 driver is only available for windows and must register as a developer before using it. I thought rev 1.0 cards are full hash rate and only rev 2.x or V2 are LHR cards.

At least in my 3070 rev 1.0 I get full hash rate with regular installation and was wondering if it is the same with 3060.

Hi there,

I want to know whether the RTX 3060 rev 1.0 is full hash rate or limited hash rate. Have anyone used 3060 rev 1.0 and was able to get 60 MHs?

GPU with 2 Fans and 3 Fans
by

Hi there,

I noticed some Nvidia cards come in both 2 fan and 3 fan models. Apart from the difference in length, are there any design changes that would impact on hash rate? There seems to be $200-$300 price difference between the two. If no technical difference between the two then buying twin fan model would be the cheapest.

I have nothing to do with such payouts from pools anymore since I started using 2miners which can convert your ETH into nano with zero withdrawal fee straight into my binance exchange address, easy payout every 24hrs

But doesn't this mean you won't get Ethereum? Do you convert them back to ETH or keep it in NANO ?

Re: Connect 6 GPUs to EVGA SuperNOVA 850
by

Thank you all for all the advice.

You are correct @philipma1957. I had a look at the box and there were 2 split cables which makes it in total 6 VGA connections. I honestly thought 6 PCIe means 6 sockets. Anyway, I can only connect max 4 GPUs as per all the recommendations which means I need to use a second PSU.

I'm going to limit the number of GPUs to maximum of 4 for one PSU. I will buy another PSU and connect the remaining GPUs to that one. I can connect the power supply tester (bridge connector) to power on the second PSU.

Connect 6 GPUs to EVGA SuperNOVA 850

Hi there experts,

I have EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P5 Power Supply, 80 PLUS Platinum PSU and currently running with single RTX 3070. I would like to connect 5 more GPUs so that I could run 6 GPUs in total.

Is it possible to connect 6 GPUs to the EVGA SuperNOVA 850?

Other question is, PSU spec says it has 6 x PCIe sockets but I can only see 4 marked as VGA. Any particular reason ?

Thanks,
