Re: Do you have to make big investment before you can make profit in crypto?
by

on 26/09/2018, 23:27:59 UTC
it's based on luck as well. If you had a few bitcoins back in 2010 and never sold them up until today, you'd have made a nice ROI. It's way harder today, but doesn't mean it's impossible. Since the market is bearish, you can still invest a little and gain nicely.

Re: what are the causes of the continuous plunge in Bitcoin?
by

on 25/09/2018, 23:39:55 UTC
I think there are 2 possibilities. Either, one: because the late 2017 hype is gone. Like literally, no one talks about crypto or bitcoin, or two: whales are controlling the entire market. I think it could be a combination of both. Hope it recovers soon.

Real estate. Absolutely gold, if you have the capital for that. Of course certain countries will yield more profit, but overall, you'll make a good return on your investement. I have never really heard or seen real estate devalue.

Re: Money Matters
by

I think the money has a binary character. 1. With money many doors are opened, because for example, you can leave your parents' house and start living on your own which could make you a lot happier. (not the case for everyone.
2. Happines does not always come with money, there are a ton of situations people are unhappy because they work their ass off hating every day of their life just to get that great promotion or just to be able to earn a lot of money once they reached a certain goal (graduating for instance).

So again, it's binary. This discussion is endless.

Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover?
by

We still have a long journey ahead of us (at least that's what I think). 2018 is a shit year and I don't see it getting better anytime soon. My prediction: late 2019 we'll see a nice surge in prices, but again, these are merely predictions. The reality may be very different.

Re: Why do you think the market is down right now?

The 2017 hype is slowly but surely dying, as a result the market is not as high as 2017. I just hope it gets back to a nice level. I assume this will be in 2019 as 2018 is almost over. Let's all wait and see.

I think you should not generalize that notion. I know a lot of people who are motivated by money only. Some friends only go to college because they want to be rich. I ask them whether they really enjoy what they're doing and their reply is: ''dude, I am going to make a lot of money''. So again, it depends on the individual.

Technology improves yes, but it hasn't improved to that level yet. I mean not everything can be solved with technology, we have a long way to go before we can really work less.

Re: Should the religion interfere with political issues?
by

on 13/09/2018, 20:58:25 UTC
Religion + politics is a dangerous mix, I guess, so I believe that under no circumstances should religion interfere with political issues. Otherwise, we might potentially face even more problems because religion has its own issues that need to be addressed. It's too complicated to me.

Well said, an extremely dangerous mix for that matter. I mean look at Iran, so many things go wrong. Or look at Saudi Arabia, women could not drive up until this year. That just did not make any sense. Best to keep both seperated, let everyone practive their religion privately and all will be okay..

I truly believe ethereum will rise again. I mean the entire market is a bear market right now, so why only look at Ethereum right? Also ethereum is unique compared to other coins. I know that it will become something great again.

This is very interesting as this is the very first time I heard about regret when it comes to transgenderism. Which makes me think that some people aren't really sure about their actual sex. Usually when I hear or watch stories about transgenders, they are all positive about it. This goes to show that this should not be an impulsive decision.

Opened the video, listened to the first guy being interviewed and closed the video. I cannot understand how people can still think like that in 2018 (think like that regardless of the given year for that matter). It makes me sick that rape is not seen as rape in certain places. Hope people come to their senses one day.

Re: DO NOT SELL! JUST HODL - You've not loss any money if you haven't sold.
by

People often complain of incurring losses in cryptocurrency. It is very clear that such people bought the coins or tokens at high, and due to impatience, sold at a very low price when they could have hodl till higher prices again.

This is so right, I have to remind myself and others around me every time the market is bleeding (like it is doing lately). Just stay positive, this is an investment. There is no quick gains in this game, same goes for regular stocks. If one looks at several studies, one can see that over a 10 year period Hodlers always win.

real estate, all day everyday. If only I hate the capital. Houses keep getting more and more expensive and more and more people are looking to buy/rent places. I don't see houses become cheap any day.

Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency?
by

on 30/08/2018, 20:44:27 UTC
I've seen a couple of online shops implement BTC as an option. Haven't seen any other crypto though, but that kind of makes sense right now since many people associate crypto with btc and no other coin. Hope to see a change soon, if only large enterprises would adopt BTC it'd go faster I think.

once it is adopted by a few big organizations. E.g Facebook, Apple, Google and what not. My guess is is that when those companies start implementing BTC, it'll be adopted by the mass very quickly, because it will make people feel comfortable. e.g.: ''Big companies adopting BTC?, this is the right time for me to start using it''.

Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver?
by

on 28/08/2018, 11:58:54 UTC
they don't know better. It makes sense. You can't make them understand crypto and regular stocks don't interest them because gold and silver are the good ol' stable things to invest in. Also it's tangible rather than intangible, so I can understand their point of view.

He won't, not as of yet. I think that he will adopt BTC only if some other big company does so. It's kind of a risk right now as no one knows how viable it'll be. In 10 years? sure, then it might be adopted. Let's wait and see.

Currently I and many of us do not have much of a choice. Either you cash out and leave with a huge loss or you wait for it to recover and even make quite a bit of money. I plan on sticking to the latter, since I do not want to cash out with half of my investment.

Re: Turkey vs Trump
by

I agree that Erdogan "is an authoritarian", but it's so nice to hear that someone says "no" to the greasy and greedy America. I support for the Turks, let God help them.

sure, saying no to America takes balls, but saying no and not thinking about the possible repercussions is just playing with the fate of your people. That in my opinion is an act a president should not commit. I don't see the Turkish Lira recover any time soon if Erdogan doesn't do thing differently. Let's see what the future beholds.
