What a sad failure of a launch. Be a man Lisk team and take it on the chin. Agree it wasnt as expected and apologise. Doesn't give confidence to investors this is going anywhere if you react in such a way.

The official Lisk web client is being worked on, it takes time to stop such an attack.

The client is running great at the moment, that's the positive side.

what do you mean attack?

didn't you expect to be swamped at launch???

what did you expect just 10 people to use the site?

Do you really think that 50000 users were trying to access the web login? I don't think so.

YOU HAD TIME TO PREPARE!!!

NO EXCUSES!!

We are not making any excuses. We're giving you data on what's been occurring in the background and why login.lisk.io is not accessible at the moment.

Listen Blud, don't get me started.

You muppets fucked this up royally.

the majority of people don't use linux.

if some scam coin has a working windows wallet, there's no bloody excuse why LISK doesn't have one at launch.

You said you were delaying the launch to ensure that everything worked like clockwork.

You Failed!!!

Take it on the chin and sort it out.

The web client (login.lisk.io) was the victim of a coordinate DDoS attack.

The client is working as intended, no hiccups so far with over 1000 blocks generated.

Look, you have to explain why the Docker Full File was inaccessible. It made it very difficult for the vast majority of the ICO participants sell their coins.

Maybe an admission of under preparation and misjudgement?

You have to understand that most users don't want reasons, they wanted results. I would a GOOD team to address all these, coupled with a plan to move forwards.

I don't understand. This was definitely a train-wreck; the online wallet, the docker pull file was not accessible, the docker installation guide was incorrect, the explorer doesn't work. But I understand that errors happen.

However, what I don't understand is that, there has been no offer of explanation OR an apology.

Lisk to 1 satoshi.
This coin is so poor that people trying all the way to compare with other coins knowing that lisk is nothing.
Lisk vs eth, lisk vs waves, isk vs dao.

Never saw a single user on eth or dao comparing eth or dao with other coins.
you guys are funny, lol.

Like a little baby crying "my toys is better then your...my dolly is better then your cause is blonde hair"
Lol,pathetic.

Also thread is pathetic, when user don't know how to answer, they ignore users.
Lol,lack of words to answer users?

So,please, launch on may 24 so i could dump all and buy DAO.
Oh yes, pleas write "i will buy your dump". please write it.

Lisk dev act like a kindergarden. Instead of write about promotion @ launch, make a video hangour as dao dev does, so we could see you on face, and talk directly to you.

Or are you so busy to fix all the bugs on lisk code that you didn't find time for past 3 weeks to make video hangsout, public meeting as, wow, eth and dao done several time?

Lisk doesn't have value as yet, it is all speculation.

However, it is a fact that there is definitely a role for the Lisk Platform; side chains and accessibility of JavaScript is appealing to many people. It allows ease of use coupled with self governance, which appeals to businesses and corporations.

The value of Lisk is going to depend on platform development (Lisk Team), Dapps (development) and adoption (marketing). The Crypti platform was actually a very very good platform, especially given it's relatively low funding. I believe attracting developers and adopters was the major problem, which was heavily due to poor marketing. However, with Lisk being substantially financially supported, I should hope that the team invests in marketing. If they execute this well, and I think they will, then it could become a major driving force behind cryptocurrency.

DAO is once again speculative trading, it's a bit hypocritical of you to suggest people will dump Lisk for DAO. Its swapping vapourware for vapourware. It's true that the team has not organised as many community events, that being said they have done a few, but right now the most important thing is development and planning for a successful marketing campaign.

I can empathise with your frustration, but If you don't think Lisk has value, I suggest you sell your stake at launch. i've participated in many ICOs, and the only projects that failed were either underfunded, under marketed or had a non cohesive development team. I think Lisk is doing a really good job given their current standing, but after the launch it will a new ball game. 6 million dollars is more than enough to start a successful marketing and development campaign.

Wonder what people think of most of the alts falling and how it will affect Lisk's price. Lisk speculation was quite tied to Ethereum, and now Ethereum is near its 1 month lows. I believe it will affect Lisk's price as well, pushing it down. I don't see the market changing significantly in the next week or so.

The wealth of cryptocurrency as a whole, is essentially dependent on $ turned into bitcoins. That being said, many experienced traders would hedge their bets, by reducing Ether stacks to have some Lisk coverage too unless if they participated in the Lisk ICO. Since Lisk is likely only traded for BTC, then traders will have to hold some Bitcoin.

That being said, it could also be due to Bitcoin halving, with the market predicting Bitcoin as undervalued. If it is because of Bitcoin halving, once markets reaches the true speculative price, then there will be movement back to Altcoin.

this is so good he doesn't even no what to reply dont worry i give you some time to get back to normal.il take your leave now lets see what you guys talking about

bullshit away

good GTFO nobody wants your dumbass here anyways.

you ain't getting my ass hahaha

Currently Ethereum Monopolises the market. Lisk isn't released yet so it's unfair to compare the two platforms. I think regardless of current technology, Lisk will start an arms face leading to better and faster development of both platforms.

Lisk is unpredictable, like all cryptocurrency. It's not a venture capitalist market where you can send your team to inspect the company. This is true for Ethereum as well.

As we all know, only put it what you can afford.

Try not to ride the hype train. When you invest in a crypto, please read the white paper, read up on all the staff (Lisk staff have a very public profile) and evaluate the real world value of the system.

In disclosure I invested 50 BTC into Ethereum in ICO, and 60 BTC in Lisk because I think, regardless of release date, the technology is EASILY worth more than 5.9million.

Roll Eyes May 24th!!

30 days left lol. It's an eternity in the cryptosphere. The Lisk devs have screwed us beyond belief, and we can't do jack about it.

Historically, the later crypto coins are released, the better the starting value is.

Also can someone enlighten me in regards to waves? Didn't swarm try to do the same thing but failed. Can't crowdfunding and coloured coins/altcoin trading be developed on both the Lisk and Ether platform?

I'm thinking at launch anywhere between $0.60 and $1.20 that's my guess. Then some whales are gonna dump it down. Then it will drop to about $0.15 and stay there for a while. It's gonna take a while to sell millions of coins that got bought up in big chunks.

Whales tend not to offload their investments in big chunks. Since they control a large portion of the market, most whales will keep their holdings static, as their early intervention causes huge sell pressure and devaluation of their coin.

If there was an ulterior motive for the delay, I'd guess it's Waze.

If Lisk can be officially bought and sold on April 11, I've heard a lot of people express that they want to dump some Lisk for Waze since the first day of that ICO is April 12, and you get a 20% bonus on that day only.

If you support Lisk, this is probably a good thing.  ICO investors might be less likely to dump their Lisk if they don't have a good reason for the funds.

NOTE: Yes, I have a Waze signature.  I support both projects which is exactly why I've been seeing people talk about both projects. I  follow both communities.

So what if i want to do that? It´s my fucking money, they don´t have the right to play with MY MONEY.

THE REAL REASON OF DELAY IS LISK TEAM WANT TO USE ICO MONEY TO INVEST IN WAVE AND DON´T WANT US TO REDUCE HIS STACK SELLING LISK ON APRIL 11 AND BUYING WAVES ON 12.

Whoa whoa calm down. How much BTC did u invest into Lisk, maybe I can escrow buy your stack and email address so you can invest in Waves. I've previously invested in something very similar to waves called Swarm and the market for it was poor despite the team's capabilities, so I'm only happy to buy your Lisk stack and not invest in waves on your behalf. Happy to buy your whole stack though

I'm sorry for huge red letters, but.

Bter invested 2,500,000 XCR from their coldwallet.

https://cryptichain.lisk.io/address/983470101446368718C
I suggest Max and Oliver consider it as a thieft investment and freeze it. Because Bter stole this money from its users.

Don't worry. We know it.

I know this probably isn't possible, but is it possible to distribute the LISK that BTER falsely invested into the real XCR shareholders. ;-)

Since this is Sparta (i mean DPOS)(same thing), I also vote no to BTER'a investment of stolen funds!

Banano got scammed by BTER too! as a DPOS coin holder we all get a vote as a unity community

BTER way too dodgy man, there goes what I was gonna invest. Bloody oaf

Would you be able to answer the other questions too?

Thanks again

What stops the DEV from buying STX, and being reimbursed his/her own BTC after the ICO?

OP

If you don't mind, can you post your main account, and verify your identity through that?

Also give a preview of the whitepaper/wallet/lite-wallet before the release?

Also, would you be able to answer the initial question I asked?

Thanks

I've been away from this thread for over a month. The XC team has been working very hard and it clearly shows.

I like how XC is targeting a broader population, especially with TOR sticks. Being inept with computers, I am not even sure what TOR is, however the concept or TOR sticks really appeals to me.

Do you guys thing it would be beneficial explaining the concept of TOR on the website? Although I know Google exists for a reason, slower people like myself will really appreciate the convenience and layman explanations.
