Re: Meta Shareholders Push for Bitcoin Reserves
by

Meta shareholders have suggested that the board of directors consider buying BTC as a strategic reserve for the company.

What do you think?

Do you think this situation would have the same fate as Microsoft and the offer to them?

Source.

I'm all for it.

Like the post before me, it's up to individuals and businesses to elect if they want to hold BTC in their reserves of balance sheet. It's not as radical as it once was, but it's still risky. BUT, I believe most future or tech-focused company should hold some, if even simply as an inflation hedge.

Here’s a picture showing the latest additions. The new wheel covers and running boards. It was overcast out so it looks more purple than red in the pic. One thing I will say is that after using full self driving for more than 1,000 miles now, it is clearly the future. Everyone will license full self driving in the next couple years. Do yourself a favor and buy a Tesla. Send me a personal message to get a link for $2,000 off.

GM,

While I appreciate the bravery in undertaking such a project, I would suggest working on smaller, more tractable projects with your level of programming knowledge. AI is amazing, but you can get caught up in pretty poor generated code (as you've experienced) with little way out.

What technologies are you most comfortable with? How about forking BTC or LTC and get that running while learning some of the existing codebase? Learning to read code is a great step to becoming a programmer.

The way to spot scammers is really easy... just use "Occam's Razor" even here.
If some one has a supertool like this... why he would provide to you at a trivial amount?
Why "old" wallets should have any kind of fault versus "new" wallets?
That's all. Did you have still a doubt on this?

100% in full agreement here.

First question I ask them is, do you have money that you can afford to hold for some years?

I agree and usually what I tell people if they ask me. I don't volunteer info these days, as it's easy to catch blame for investment tips that go sour.

Did you know 80% of stats are made up?  Cool

Jokes aside, both QR and URL should be present, maximizing the chance someone will use it. I'd prefer the URL unless I was phone in hand walking past a vehicle for a business I was interested in.

Anyone who invest on Bitcoin should have a target of when it will sell its bitcoin and also when it will purchase new one, I don't be curious to sell my bitcoin, I only sell my bitcoin when I feel like selling my bitcoin, so we don't have a specific time you can sell off your bitcoin, selling your bitcoin its based on your decision and what you have in mind to sell your coins.

Targets are very helpful, as is having a wide window of time.

I imagine that would be the case. If never interacted or tampered with, it should be considered safe.

It really always comes down to trust, as always. Just like with URLs/links, you need to be cautious about where you're clicking. The same principle applies to QR codes. You wouldn't click a spam/scam link in an email from an unknown sender, so why scan a random QR code?

In terms of restaurants, they should be held accountable for any QR codes they are asking patrons to use.

Re: Which is more profitable, trading Bitcoin or mining Bitcoin?
by
jayoh

I'd say trading can be much more profitable, for those with the time and skill. There is no guarantee, however (thus is life).

Mining can have a long, steady and slow return. It's for the person who believe in Bitcoin for the long haul, wishes to be a part of the network, and can put up initial capital and on-going electricity (and potential maintenance costs) and watch it slowly trickle in again over time.

As for Exodus, it offers buy and sell and trades or swaps. Surely, they are earning from the spreads of those.

This is correct. 0.5% fee seems standard across wallets and other services.

Learn a skill and get a job that pays for that skill. Bonus points if you find the skill fun and enjoyable.

There's not many clear paths to "easy money" and most content online geared around it is designed to earn the author money, so you can't really trust it.
