love this app and would be happy to pay for it. i have one question and one suggestion.

there's something wrong with the "24 hour change" data in the top right of the screen. for the last couple of weeks it's had my portfolio increasing by hundreds of percent every day. that would be brilliant obviously but it's wrong. i've generally been 1-15% up or down from one day to the next. is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

the app would be perfect if it had a backup function. my workaround is to screenshot each "holdings" page for each of the coins in my portfolio. anyone have a better way?

thanks

Hi can you please update to the latest version of the app if you haven't ready.  And then on the Settings screen click the Repair Chart option.  After doing so the 24hr change should work normally after a day or two.

thanks for the tip. i can't see a Repair Chart option on the settings screen. i'm using the iphone version.
the settings menu lists Share Blockfolio, App Store Rating and Review, Send Feedback, Currency Settings, Change Log, Copy Device ID and Terms of Use & Privacy.

How bout you try without batch files and use cgwatchers scheduler to do the restarts you want and its argument fields for your mining Undecided.

Either way last week was patch week for windows so maybe windows changed something with how it handles batch files Shocked. I was setting up a bitcoin wallet last week on a non "C:/" drive and I needed to bracket my folder directory to work properly when changing settings with commands. It was iqnoring my commands to change the name of my wallet though I think the issue with that is that bitcoin-qt does not have a change wallet command like an unobtanium wallet does.

Have fun?

thanks for the tip. problem is i have tried it without batch files, and using CGW's scheduler and the arguments field.

CGW's been fine again for the last 36 hours but it's just dropped out again; it can't start cgminer.exe, using any of the config files that have been working ok. this has been an issue for a few weeks now, so i'm not sure windows patches are the cause.

so some days it all works perfectly, others nothing launches. there's obviously some sort of intermittent problem. when it occurs, i can't even launch cgminer.exe from windows explorer or the cmd line, which means it's probably nothing to do with CGW.....

man i don't know.

jazzah:  Unfortunately I don't think this is a CGWatcher problem. When using batch files, CGWatcher launches the batch file and what happens next is out of its hands. Once it launches the batch file, it waits to get a response from the miner's API, which is why it gives up after 60 seconds or so of getting no response and tries launching the batch file again. It's been said that you can set the GPU_MAX_ALLOCATION and similar settings so you do not need to set them every time you launch the miner... perhaps being able to remove those from the batch file would resolve this issue.

hi, after days of problem-free mining with multiple scheduled restarts working without a hitch, CGW is now not launching any mining exe using any of the config or batch files that i've got profiles pointed to. CGW log reports that there are no arguments in the config or batch files; i've checked them all and all the arguments are still there, the same one as last night were giving me hassle-free mining.

i've tried rebooting, and shutting down and waiting a couple of hours, issue remains unresolved.

i can't figure out what could have changed in the PC or CGW set up.

can anyone suggest diagnostic steps?

thanks!

thanks for taking the time to reply.

i use batch files with and without the GPU ALLOCATION command; both cause the no-response outcome i mentioned in my post.

another confounding problem is that sometimes CGW won't launch the mining exe either. this happens with different profiles pointing to cgminer.exe, sgminer.exe and vertminer.exe, and correct config files and arguments (eg the keccak and scrypt arguments). it doesn't seem to be a pool issue as the miners don't actually launch so they don't get as far as trying to log in to the pools. it also doesn't seem to be related to GPU overheating, as CGW shows the temp is well below the auto shutdown target temp. so it seems random.

has anyone else experienced this?

i'm a newbie to mining. CGWatcher has made it all much easier, so thank you for making and maintaining such a great app.

i've been using it for 2-3 weeks with cgminer, sgminer and vertminer. i've got 9 profiles, mining a mix of coins on single and multipools. a few of the profiles point CGWatcher to config and a few point to bat files.

CGW generally runs without any problems, restarting whatever miner program the profile calls every 4 hours to keep things fresh. but then every few days i can't get CGW to restart any of the miner programs. it launches the cmd window, runs the GPU ALLOCATION instructions in the bat files and then the cmd window just sits there, with no commands passing through it, no attempt to log in to the pools that are in the bat/config files, and no responses. after about 60 seconds, the cmd window closes. while this is happening, CGW says that it can't initialise the API. it tries to do it a few more times (i think have set it to 9 attempts), and then stops.

the only thing that seems to work is to turn off the PC for a day or two, then it all seems to work again.

any suggestions for diagnostic tests or solutions?

thanks.

have you tweaked your config file to get the most out of your card? if, like me, you have no idea how to do that, google the card type/name + mining config settings and play around with the settings.

also for mining, try a multi-port pool; it will always mine the most profitable. there are a bunch of them, i use multipool.us.

good luck!
