I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

There is always a risk in investing to something. When it comes to bitcoin, maybe most of the bitcoin user here would say, you should invest now, because we all hope that the bitcoin has uprising price as time pass eventhough sometimes it suddenly goes down.

Re: WTF is Bitcoin?

Will the bitcoin replace the Gold? If there is A war coming everyone will run to the Bitcoin instead of the gold?

Cheers

Gold is gold, bitcoin is bitcoin. No one can ever replace each other. Both have advantages and disadvantages. In terms of war, maybe gold is better to use. Gold is known everywhere and will be accepted by anyone. But in the case of bitcoin, it depends on the availability of communications in the war zone, because bitcoin depends on the internet.

Re: What is BTC for you?

What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

Bitcoin is virtual wealth because, for now it has an uprising value which makes people crazy going into it. I think most people using bitcoin did not actualy knew the concept behind it. They do not care anymore as long as they can gain from it and make as an investment.
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency which runs through internet, so you cannot use it in actual, because you cannot hold it in your hands.

What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?

Because bitcoin is a valuable thing even if it is virtual in nature. With the technology of our world today, bitcoin is an asset that most people who has it because they are thinking that its value will always uprise. The same reason as why people are keeping thier golds or their diamonds.

Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear?

I don't think so that these cryptocurrencies can make real money disappear. The basis of prices of these cryptocurrencies are the real money,  that is why we can say that their price is high or low. If that so,  without the real money, these will also have no price, common sense.

Re: Bitcoin just an asset ?

I can say that Bitcoin is both an asset as well as a currency. It has all the necessary requirements needed for it to be classified as either a commodity as well as currency. It is a currency because you can use it as payments for your business transactions. there are business establishments worldwide that accepts bitcoin. But, maybe it is still a commodity for others because there are users who just hold on to bitcoin for its value, as an investment. It is expected that the price of bitcoin in the future is upward in value. Some bitcoin users want to do hold bitcoin as their lifetime investment.

Re: Will Btc drop near 2k?
by

I felt like I missed a great opportunity at selling high and buying low when it reached 5k and drop to 4k a couple of days ago. Now it happened again from 4k to 3k. You think it will happen a third time, from 3k to 2k?

Exactly my sentiments too. Should have sold during 5K but I was so hung up and greedy for another all time high. Thought it will go a little higher. Well anyway, btc dropping is natural and 2K might be possible. There's no way of telling it especially with all the craze from China and JP Morgan. But one thing I'm still holding on to is the idea that this year will not end without btc reaching 5K again.

Re: The advantages of bitcoin
by

I think Bitcoin has a lot of advantages. It is virtual currency using the internet which means you can transact to different countries it's easier since you don't need to convert your local currency to their curency. The price of bitcoin keeps on increasing from time to time. If you have bitcoin or invest in bitcoin your money may doubled or tripled. You can use bitcoin as a mode payment for your online shoppings. You can earn bitcoin easily,  there is a lot of ways in order for you to earn bitcoin. There is no age required, you can earn bitcoin no matter what's your age, no matter what's your gender.

Hackers are always there, it is the result of human greed to something valuable to everyone. You just have to always one step ahead of them so you will not be one of their victims. Always double check and do some research first about what you are engaging into in this digital world. In general,  youbshould out smart them.

Yes,  I think so. But the limitations is about their knowledge and interests on technology. Everybody can use bitcoin as long as they can access a computer or mobile device and connected on line. And also how they acceptance on technology, the way they use it consistently.

Banking with your bitcoin
by

Is it possible that banks would accept bitcoin as your deposits directly from your bitcoin wallet? Or they will ban it because of internet security reasons?
