I'm stuck and need some help!
Burnt a BTC from a blockchain.info wallet and now want to move the xcp to counterwallet. I tried importing (sweeping) the burning address into counterwallet but it says 'invalid private key or use unencrypted key'.
I am pretty sure I have the 'normal' unencrypted privkey from blockchain.info. Strange thing is that I also checked the privkey at bitadress.org under wallet details and this also errors out, saying invalid privatekey.
It even gets a bit weirder. If I import the privkey in the old blockchain.info wallet it says already there, if I import it in the new beta-wallet (v3) it gives another public key (basically I have 2 ublic keys with the same private key in the v3 wallet)! Makes me think it is a blockchain.info problem but cant find any info about it.

I have done this a few times in the past already (from blockchain to counterwallet) and for some reason it errors now. Anyone have any idea what is wrong or what I am doing wrong?

Blockchain.info is know for their numerous bugs so I would not be surprised when this is another of their bugs. They are pretty bad with fixing bugs too.

When your bc wallet claims the address is already there then you can still get the privkey from blockchain.info? If so, as far as I remind, bc.info gives out the privkey in various formats. Maybe you really copied something differently coded.

You are right, had in in base58. Seems to be working now, thanks!
Still strange that I got 2 different public addresses with the same key in blockchain.info

The Internet, even Wikipedia, is full of information on levitation and antigravity. If someone is not educated, he would do better to educate himself first, and contribute later. For example Maglev train is a practical example of levitation. The train has mass, but it does not have weight, and if a scale is put beneath, it does not register gravity from the train or its passengers.

There is no witchcraft going on (at least no attempted witchcraft Cheesy ) It just seems that the modern man is as hesitant to make scientific experiments as the man of the middle ages, and also as willing to ridicule the ones who do make them.

Gravity is still there with levitation, thus so is the weight of the train (as weight is mass * gravity), you simply cannot measure the weight with the mechanical scale you refer to.
Ever tried measuring the temperature of the sun with a thermometer? There are other ways.

Germany has decided its gold is safe in American hands.

fucking german pussies!

(I'm german, so I'm allowed, right?)

We will see if they are so "pussy" as you believe when they face France the next Fryday  Cheesy, my bets are for France so i hope you are right

looking for a trustable bitcoin-based sports book so I can put money where my mouth is. any suggestions? 2 years ago I used anonibet, but not sure they're even still around.

Check xbet.io
Decentralized betting using the counterparty protocol. Completely removes the trust requirement as the funds are escrowed by the protocol. It does require a wallet at counterwallet.co though (blockchain style wallet, so nothing stored on their servers)

while we're at it, i seem to can't access my old counterwallet... i ceated it before may 8th so i tried both with and without "old" in front of the passphrase. it shows me three empty addresses, i had 4, one with quite a few xcp and btc, i also had about 3 assets created. can someone help me with this?
You tried it at old.counterparty.co? Not sure if still active, but might work.

Is anyone using neural networks with the BTC price dataset?

Check out http://www.btcpredictions.com, seems to be a decent effort.
Don't know to much about the neural networks yet, but will definitely look into it of I can find some time. The guy also has a thread here somewhere.

You can select which assets you want to sweep (btc or xcp or both) guess that other counterparty assets will show there as well. Should not affect your chancecoin as that is linked to your btc-address, you will keep access to the address, obly btc/xcp will be transferred.

Try to do this following this guide:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys_v7%2B

But getting this error for every private key I tried:
Invalid private key (code -5)

Ideas?
Did you unlock your wallet before importing?
Walletpassphrase PASSWORD 600 (Will unlock it for 10 minutes)
Importprivkey PRIVATEKEY LABELFORADDRESS

Yes, still getting this error every time.
[/quote]
Not sure if it makes a difference, but you checked for extra spaces due to copy/paste?
Otherwise recheck the key, privkey starts with a 5
I think that you must also use a label that is not already in use in your wallet, but not sure

If I burned XCP on separate address (but same wallet) on blockchain info, is there any way to export only this address private key?

Or the only way for me is to export the whole wallet then import into Bitcoin-QT?

Thanks.

There is. If I recall from memory, you simply click on import/export and look for the unencrypted/plaintext export option and copy and past the private key corresponding to your public key/address.

Try to do this following this guide:

Would not be so sure about the OP's trustworthyness..
I CALL HIM A LIAR!

The story: I sold OP a KNC preorder-spot (a nice low 3X order), he never paid, nor responded to email/pm thereafter.
He got a day 1 preorder as stated here:
@skat23

- Order #6404 (mi è stato cambiato più volte)
- Day 1
- 11/06 (Pagamento in ritardo per problemi con PayPal)

PM history tells the story:
Ok, i want 3x preorder and i offer you 0.5BTC + 10% of mining revenue for the first ten day of mining, but you send mail to kncminer, change order to me and i pay you.

This is my thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=231056.0

Write the agreement public, i haven't problem.
Hey,

I could tell you now and then do not keep the agreement but I'm not that kind of person.

I want to do things right and respect the agreements but your ask to sell preorder is too high.

This is my offer:
now 0.5BTC and 20% of mining for the first ten days = 0.5BTC + 3.6BTC according to your calculations

Total 4.1BTC if the difficulty does not increase more than expected.

At this value of change BTC/USD i'm offering about 500$ for preorder but keep in mind that in 4 months 3.6BTC could be worth $800.

If you agree I'll send you my data, so you can ask to change the preorder KNCMiner
Hey,
no no 0.02 USD I'll kill myself  Smiley

My email address is XXXXXXXXX(edit: Blanked email) , i've already an account on kncminer.com with this email address.
When preorder is changed on my name send PM, i verify and pay

Best regards,
Nicolas
I'm waiting for a confirmation from kncminer.
Why use still hide the numbers of order and pre-order if you made the transfer request?
What are the real numbers?
Only 30 minutes to deadline and KNCMiner don't respond  Angry
I doesn't pay for Saturn because Customer Service yesterday doesn't reply me with confirm the preorder number  Angry
--> Said he didn't pay, whilst later on the italian forum stating the exact opposite. --> LIAR!

--> So.. Mr did not order his saturn as 'no confirmation was given by KNC'. Believed him that far.  Turns out he lied, still he got 'my' day 1 saturn and ignores my messages!
I'd rather call him untrustworthy and a liar if he can get away with it. Don't deal with this guy unless face to face, he will scam if he can!

OP, if this is a misunderstanding feel free to contact me to keep your end of the bargain and I will rectify here.

Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking
by
jbah01
on 30/12/2013, 19:38:25 UTC
Just to share my settings/performance:
- October unit (Asic 1 = 4 VRM, other 3 are 8 VRM but only 4 active)
- Firmware 0.99-tune
- Clocksetting on 231, no other firmware changes.
- Harware mod: Lowered the Asicboard-fans (more airflow over the board), added 2 fans at the outlet (so now push + pull) and slightly lowered fan speed to reduce the noise (80%).

Images
Status page --> 676 GH/s / 9131 WU
Advanced page --> 2.5V SPI and 256kHz frequency, slightly modded volts (higher, as required for the increased clock), not completely fine-tuned.
CGminer --> Error rate used to be 3%@560GH/s, since I lowered the volts a bit after the initial increase this increased to just below 4%. Fine with me as it lowered the temps 5-10 degrees an decreased power to 'around' 40 W per DC instead of closer to 50 W.
Pool stat  --> 650ghs average
Power consumption in bertmod used to be 453 W, now it is 651 W (43% increase in consumption for 18/19% performance increase). With voltage finetuning the power consumption should be able to come down a bit, now it is all pretty much on the safe side (safe as in: higher voltage as required to avoid that cores get shut down).

Thxs to this thread and alittle help on IRC...I turned up my jup. to around 630-650gh/s on poolside Smiley thxs tolip great job and my HW errors down to .5%
Not enough information..That doesn't help anyone. What do your config look like? 4/8VRM? Etc.
Why not share information? Sad
It's not that hard really, consider myself a noob and sid not have a lot of trouble.
Changed the clock to 231 (plenty of how-to above).
Performance is steady 650-670 on pool, have 3 x8-vrm boards and 1x 4-vrm (RMA-d). Temps 43 (intake side boards) to 55 degrees, I lowered the fans for more flow over the boards.
Power usage (bertmod) from 451 W to 644 W (speed from 562 to 678 In cgminer), hw 3.5% (tightened the voltages a bit which increased hw-errot but reduced power/avoid it gets to hot.

Asic chips can handle more if I base it on the heat coming of them but don't know any higher clock frequencies as 231 ( besides that the vrm's are around their 40W limit already). Guess more juice can be pumped out if 8 vrms can be activated again!

Had a DOA board on my day 1, got replaced in about a week. Averaging 550-575 on pool since the new board, unlockallcores(Did it 2 times, second after a good cooldown and result was a bit better) and 0.96 firmware. Give them a call, should either get advice on how to fix or a RMA number for replacement.

Already tried updating firmware? Seems to have revived other dead boards as well. Not sure if it will help you as yours currently does not even power on.
Good luck

Anyone have confirmation of Saturns being shipped or is it all Jupiters for now?

I packaged more than one Saturn for sure, and yes it's respect of queue order. Also, no rest for the wicked. A load of hosting should be coming online tonight. Which means I get to leave here, and get at least somewhat closer to my clothing that' been holidaying the last few days. At least I'll have a choice of clean stuff to wear...at somepoint. Sad
If it's exactly queue I'm pretty sure I should have had a number already. Very early preorder/order here. Need to give them a call?

my status:

I have a hosted 1-500 Jupiter order and no activity on my pool account.  (Also have a day 1 hosted jupiter, and a day 1 USA shipping Jupiter).  I should see movement on my 1-500 unit but nothing yet.

Sounds like a number of people are in the same boat.  Just letting everyone know so if someone is in the same boat they won't think that they are the only one with no unit.

Same here, day 1, preorder 3X patiently awaiting my trackingnumber Smiley
