Re: FINANCIAL COLLAPSE FEAR MONGERING NEEDS TO STOP

Core CPI in the US is misleading, it excludes volatile products like foodstuffs and gas.

Further core cpi is a composite of weighted items.

40% is too low. Gas was about 1.50$ in 2001.
It's around 4$ now.

That's around 200%. - Inline with shadow alternative stats.

Core CPI better measures something like a car. A 2002 m3 cost around 43k new - least options. now the coupe runs around 61. that's near 40%.

Personally, I tend to discount core cpi since those usually are capital purchases vs 'volatile things' you need day to day and do impact you.

Someone please correct my mistake please.

Apple App Store Said No
by

on 03/02/2014, 18:44:02 UTC
I wrote up an IOS app to allow trading on Mt.Gox via their API.

Apple told me, no trading allowed but I could get the app published if I took that function out.

Is there a point in doing that?

Anyone got any advice?

Thanks.

I couldn't find any reasonably priced Macs on the site.
Their inventory sucks.

Only thing I found was the basic Macbook Air model +200$ over Apple Store or Amazon. LOL>

Wouldn't hash rate be a lagging indicator?

Rising prices pushes more people to jump in thus a higher difficulty?

I would think that demand for contracts gives a better long term view. A lot of the mining contracts are for 3-12 months.
If the price is expected to go up, so would contract prices.

Hash rate is at best an instantaneous view I think.

Please discuss.

Good suggestions, I'll have to see where I can pull the forex data for.

Does plotting bitcoin against commodities really make sense though?

What about a place that shows demand for mining contracts (if I can figure out how to aggregate a source of that)?

That might be a good indicator...

Novel bitcoin charts?

Hi guys,

I've taken up a small interest in charting using html5, I'm wondering if anyone wants to see the bitcoin data in way that isn't on bitcoincharts.com - like maybe historicals... I already pull data off mt.gox.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks.

Bitcoin finding is proportional to man size.

I think you just have a small one.

Nothing to do with the 'difficulty' factor nope nope.

I think a reputation system needs to get built or used.

I've been trading hardware over the net and we used Heatware.

I trust heatware and never had transactional problems in the 80+ transactions I did.

Of course, bitcoin might require something more sophisticated.

The volume on mt gox is small compared to say nyse, you probalby don't even need to query every 2 minutes...

I wrote a small perl backend to show these charts. (I couldn't find a chart site that let me view by date).

http://bitcoin.coprimeinc.com/

I'm still experimenting with it. The perl backend took me about 10 minutes to write - which grabs the trade data off mt gox and dumps it into mysql.

PM me if you want more details.
