Why does this forum have so many restrictions on posting?
by
jchoros
on 04/04/2018, 20:13:11 UTC
I posted on this forum offering up crypto writing services.

I could only get one inbox message and was not allowed to reply because my account is restricted. The restriction notice came with a note telling me to upgrade my account and become a premium member or something like that. What is a premium membership and how do I get it?

I also noticed that I can only run a search within the forum once every 90 seconds and I also can't post that often.

I've been on other forms before where your account is restricted for a while but I've had my account now for quite a bit. I hope to use it more so I can build the following as a writer but I find it really frustrating to participate when you can't do anything and have to wait a few minutes every time you make a move.

Does anyone have any advice on how to upgrade my account?

Is that more a function of spending money or can you get upgraded by being a participant over a long period of time and simply contributing to the community?

Inquiring minds would love to know.

BP 148 or Segwit? Which one are you hoping happens before August 1st?

Alright!

By now if you really big into bitcoin and cryptocurrency you've heard about the scaling debate. Tell me what you hope happens before August 1 and why?

as somebody who is not a programmer I think it sounds to me like SegWit is the better and more likely option, but I want to know what the community has to say!

For other non-programmers out there who don't know what I'm talking about, read this article: https://coinjournal.net/bitcoin-now-likely-get-segwit-august-1st-avoid-chain-split/

How the heck do I add Ripple to my Nano S Ledger wallet!? Please help!
by

on 11/07/2017, 15:18:06 UTC
I bought the Nano S Ledger wallet a month ago and successfully used Google apps to add my BTC and ETH to the wallet. I've decided I'd like to buy some Ripple given the recent correction of crypto. I downloaded the windows Ledger Manager on Ledger's website. I successfully added the ripple wallet to the hardware key, but even after I enter my PIN number on the key, the Google app doesn't show me anything. That applies both to the Ledger Manager and the Ripple wallet exe download on Ledger's website. I would appreciate anybody that can help!

Re: Legit bitcoin mining company
by

I'm newbie here,Are there any legit bitcoin mining company or basically most of them are just scam.

I bought a mining contract with bit club network.A lot of people promote it because the affiliate marketing program they offer has the potential for passive income but I'm not doing that.

I invested $1500 US worth of bitcoin into the contract in November 2016 and today I've just about broken even with two years left on the contract. I should say however that the only reason I'm about even now is because both Bitcoin and Ethereum have seen dramatic jumps in price since I started with the contract.

If not for that I'd probably be down 70% or more. Since I bought the contract for three years and I've broken even I'm going to stick with it, especially because I've already spent the money.

That said I think most serious mining opportunities don't allow the general public to take a share. If you were making lots of money mining you wouldn't need to give anybody else the profit. If I would have spent my $1500 buying bitcoin or ether instead of the mining contract, I could have as much as $50,000 right now, so you have to consider The cost of taking an opportunity.

I can also say however that I don't regret it because I was brand-new to bitcoin in terms of actually owning some and there's no way I would have known about Ethereum's value when I started, Both in terms of what it offers technologically and the fact that the prices jumped thousands of percentage points this year.

Hope that helps!

I recently started following Dan. I'm aware that he has created some very successful  crypto currencies including BitShares, STEEM and most recently EOS.I'm wondering if somebody can tell me of a detailed website that tells me more about him and also what other upcoming initial coin offerings he might be associated with.

I liked a YouTube talk of his and I'm just looking to learn more about what he's doing in the near future.

What was the Polybius ICO price?
by
jchoros
on 03/07/2017, 20:31:19 UTC
I recently took an interest in cryptocurrency. I've learned so much over the past year it's not even funny! one thing I've struggled to wrap my head around is why nobody can seem to find the prices of ICO's on some sort of historical chart. I've recently gotten into ICOs so I've decided that anything I'm invested in  I will post the original ICO price in case anybody looking for it in the future and wants to compare whatever the present day price may be.

This thread is dedicated to Polybius.

I invested in this ICO on June 25, 2017. Polybius offered bonuses between 5%-25% depending on when you invested. I received 5% while early birds took home 25%.

On June 25, one bitcoin was valued at approximately $2,580 USD. Here is what people would have received (estimate only) in PLBT had they invested at that exact moment.

0% bonus - 250.2158925 PLBT's ($10.31 USD per coin)
5% bonus - 263.38515 ($9.79 USD per coin)
10% bonus - 275.23748175 ($9.37 USD per coin)
15% bonus - 287.748276375 ($8.96 USD per coin)
20% bonus - 300.259071 ($8.59 USD per coin)
25% bonus - 312.769865625 ($8.24 USD per coin)

Hopefully that helps gauge what your own investment is worth once these tokens are traded on exchanges. Good luck to everyone who believes in cryptocurrency!

What was the Tezos ICO Price?
by
jchoros
on 03/07/2017, 20:04:45 UTC
Hi everyone!

I've been invested in Crypto currencies for just under one year now and have recently taken an interest in initial coin offerings. Every time I try to look at the history of some of the most and least successful ICO's, I seem to have trouble finding the original ICO price and comparing  that to the present day price.

In light of that I've decided that every time  I  follow an ICO, I will simply create a thread here  that lets people know what the price is should they ever want to look it up in the future.

I invested in Tezos on July 1, 2017. Earlybird investors were given a 20% bonus on the purchase of coins. The cost of one bitcoin on that date was approximately $2,550 USD.

Investors received 5,000 Tezos coins per bitcoin without a bonus and 6,000 Tezos coins with the 20% bonus. This means that one "Tezzie" was worth $0.51 cents US without the bonus, and $0.425 cents US with the 20% tacked on top.

Good luck to everyone who invested in this self-amending currency!
