Still not seeing options for core and mem command line settings, like phoenix...Is this correct?  Any plans on adding it?

I now have several Radeon VII doing 98Mhs in Windows, I'm just using the strap 2 option in the driver. Distance between the cards is important as well as fan speed.

Could you share your settings:  core, mem vltg and power usage?  I'm not seeing anything about a strap option in the info files in the miner...I see a "C" option for VII on linux

My clocks with no strap are core 1550 mem 1100 vltg 850 at about 84.7 @ 144 watts on eth Windows

Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)

Why is it that PM (even with the latest version which is 5.5c) is always around 10Mh/s slower (on a Zotac 1060 6GB 6+7 card rig) than T-Rex's both with the same OC setups and straps on. I had been using PM all along and realized only a month ago that after all, it is NOT the fastest miner as it claims to be. Not to be a critic but I'm very curious why such a big difference?

You need to do the math on shares per minute...The way I've tested is to put 1/2 the cards on one miner and 1/2 on another in the same rig...I've found them all to be very close on my 2080s, 1080 tis and 5700 XT cards...I do use TR on my VII though.  I like the power and clock options in PM that aren't yet present in TR...Plus the fee is 1/2

Hi, the miner gives me the same problem for a couple of months now. Every several hours I have a bug that happens with many gigahashes to one of my cards and then the miner pauses. I have 7 Vega VII with 1550 clock and 1000MHz that was hashing very good for months at 850voltage. I am using the recommended good drivers 20.8.1 and the latest phoenix miner 5.5c. But my problem occurred past the update of 4.9c miner. Please help, thank you!

I use Phoenix for most of my miners but for my VII I use team red with core @ 1550 mem @ 1100 voltage @ 850  and get 84.7 on 145 watts with the card at between 60-65 degrees.  Driver:  20.9.2

Thanks for your reply.
I am using OverDrivenTool to set the timings and it was working for years like a charm
I set a delay of 10 seconds after the win10 boots and set all the profiles wit .bat file.

I will google that but there is no "Custom install" option like before where i can choose "Install driver only" driver 20.5.1

Regarding

GPU5: unable to init straps
GPU5: unable to set straps

Anyone else seen this before?

Maybe i can DDU first and then use DeviceManager to install just the driver from C:\AMD ? would that work?

You can use whatever you like to clock your cards, but there is a process of extracting the downloaded driver package and pulling out and installing just the driver...& yes you very may need to use DDU prior to installing...Always a good idea IMO

Hi guys, i am getting this notification all the time

Is this ok, or how to disable radeon software?
I am using AMD RX580 Nitro+ 8gb driver 20.5.1
PhoenixMiner 5.5c

BR

There is a way you can extract and install only the gpu driver and not install the software...You'll need to google it.

I would go ahead and set all your clocks in the Phoenix miner not through other software.

Having a bit of trouble getting the fan control to work...Was thinking I could just set -fanmin (n) but it doesn't seem to work...I'm on 5700 XT cards and just looking to apply a fixed fan percentage by card...So, for example I set -fanmin 55,55,60,55,55 for my 5 cards, but it seems to have no effect...

Is it possible to set the clocks in the BAT file with this miner like Phoenix Miner?  I tried just copying the command code from Phoenix but it didn't work...

So I have the aorus 3060ti a card that is supposed to be a bit higher quality then the op's I suspect that I am just paying for a cool little programable lcd screen that most likely will only help me when I resell it. I also get a four year warranty with it.

does 185mh and states in simple mining os it does 452 watts  at the meter it actuating does 412 watts which is really good for 185mh

did a hard reboot and the 3060ti is tossing rejects like mad so a 8200 ram is too high for my card. just like the op's

core+10     gives me 1425 reading seems stable
ram +2600 gives me 8100 reading seems stable
watts 125
hash 61.32mh

16 shares no rejects

Thank you for sharing this

Great write up and thanks for sharing...Have you tried any other algos?  Seems the consensus is that for ETH the 5700 XT and and the 3060ti are pretty close, but I'm curious is the 3060ti able to outperform the 5700 XT on other hashrates?   Maybe Zhash, KawPow, EquihashZero and CuckooCycle?

Thanks for that Dowper, is that the method you used?   I've seen other vids of them talking about using 3.04+ to flash from Igor's site, but those links appear dead at the moment.

@screamopilla

Hey there...Just picked up a Gigabyte 5700 XT OC...Currently running 850 1300 (120 watts in Phoenix miner 5.3e software) and the mem at 1820...I got the mem temps down to about 88 on the highest card by forcing it to run at about 45% constant.   Problem I'm having is that I can't get a stable setup over 1820 ish on the mem...Which gives me about 52.6 mh.  I am running a rig that had an nvidia driver in it but did the DDU 2x.  Curious what your clocks are and what miner you're using.  Are you guys on Windows?

@rdlduffy try a fixed 45-50% on the fans and see how it looks.

-straps 1  (Nvidia cards 10x0 series) run as with administrator rights, but when I place the bat file in the auto start win 10 it will not start why?

Anyone have luck with the -straps function?

-straps Memory strap level (Nvidia cards 10x0 series only). The possible values are 0 to 6. 0 is the default value and uses the default
timings from the VBIOS. Each strap level corresponds to a predefined combination of memory timings (-vmt1, -vmt2,
-vmt3, -vmr). Strap level 3 is the fastest predefined level and may not work on most cards, 1 is the slowest (but still faster than
the default timings). Strap levels 4 to 6 are the same as 1 to 3 but with less aggressive refresh rates (i.e. lower "-vmr" values).

I'm getting an error 31 Must be run as administrator...Tried to do so but still getting the error...Wanted to see if this feature could be used instead of the ethlrgmentpl

Right-click the program icon (PhoniexMiner.exe).
Choose Properties.
On the Compatibility tab, select the Run This Program As An Administrator option.
Click OK.
 Grin
I run 1080Ti in 3 different rigs and none of the rigs accept the -straps command. When I run the miner with admin rights it returns "Invalid option: -straps"

If I run without admin rights it doesn't even return anything, the miner simply doesn't start with "-straps" in the bat file

I'm on 1080ti's as well and have the same issue.  2 rigs different mobos, sane error

The problem he is having and I am as well is that even after running as admin the error appears: "Invalid option: -straps"

Yes, I had already tried this and it doesn't work
