Recently Gas fees is going so high, AirSwap tweeted about regarding this gas fees, according to them Why are gas fees high? they have explained some points,
1. Network demand increase the # of transactions (txs)
2. Txs are placed in the mempool & await miners processing
3. Due to fixed block sizes, miners pick txs w/ the most gas
4. This results in a bidding war leading to higher prices

Is there any update regarding next API season? it's almost three weeks gone, no news about this issue. people who staked their AST on this MetaMask System so they are eagerly waiting for another new API in order to participate next Voting Season and collecting point to get rewarded.
