Can we use the -strap command with a bios modified card?

Yeah, you can. I ran it on mine, but I didn't get any better performance than the straps I had myself. Others have suggested to reflash back to stock and run strap and rxboost, but at the moment I'm not fixing what ain't broken.

Hi! does v14.7 work properly on rigs with amd cards that have been modified`? all my cards have already changed the bios  Huh Huh

14.6 works fine with my modded cards. I tried rxboost and the straps but I couldn't get any better speed than my custom settings. But it is generally stable apart from a weird drop in effective hashrate after about 5 days of mining. A restart of claymore gets it back to normal effectiveness.

Hi guys,

I've been using Claymore for a number of years through various versions. But I have recently noticed with the recent releases that after a day or so of mining my effective rate starts to drops off (the reported hashrate is fine). The effective is often around 10% lower than reported.  If I restart the miner my effective rate promptly shoots back up to reported quickly until another day or so then drops off. The recovery is almost immediate.

I get the recovery if I just restart Claymore but a computer restart also does it (i.e. it is a restart of Claymore that is fixing it, not the computer restart).

Has anyone encountered this?

I'm running 14.6, a bunch of RXs, Win10, latest Radeon drivers, compute mode, using my own straps (I couldn't get any better using the rxboost, etc.). Nothing is running too hot.

Thanks

What could be the reason for this message?

"opencl error -4 cannot write buffer DAG" after that miner freezes and I have to restart the rig.

I have virtual memory set to 20+ gigs on 8 GPU rig

Check your risers. I had that recently, I unplugged, gave them a blast out and away I went.

I have a problem, when I run claymore as an administrator it closes instantly. If I execute it normally it works perfectly.
And I need to run it as an administrator, any ideas?

Start run cmd, right click run as admin
browse to directory and run...

or add "cd C:\Users\(username)\Desktop\(Claymore 14.6)"

When you run as admin it changes directory to C:\Windows\System32

just add 1st line: cd %~dp0 to your bat file
I have this problema now
 C:Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD + NVIDIA GPU Miner v 14.6 > C:Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD + NVIDIA GPU Miner v 14.6
"C:Claymore ' s " is not recognized as an internal or external command,
program or batch file executable.

Rename the folder to remove the ' in the filepath. I suspect that is upsetting things.

Does rxboost require the Claymore driver install? I tried to run it last night and got a bunch of errors, but I hadn't run the driver install setting but wanted to check if I needed the driver before I tried other troubleshooting.

If I have already flashed the vbios of my 580 and 570 cards, do I need to restore the stock bios before attempting the custom -straps in the command line?

Yes, good question, I'm wondering the same.

the point is that all files in the miner are already configured. it remains in the files to change your wallet and start mining. it is very convenient

What other configuration have you done beyond what the forum links provide? The only configuration I have ever done is my wallet and away I went. Then I started playing with the clocks etc. but I can't see how you would preconfigure those for anyone given the huge variety of rigs out there.

In essence, I agree with the others, it just seems a redundant place for links and I wouldn't recommend following them. Get your Claymore releases from this forum only.

Hello
Its maybe a stupid question, but can I mine anything with my RX550 2G cards? (Except cryptonight)
So far, I mine Monero, but last Months, the diff jumped up, and I cant be in plus.
My rig with 6 cards need only 250W from the wall, and the cost is only 0,05 usd/kW for me.
At Moneros 40-50B diff, that was ok, because the rig work 2500H/s on CryptonightV8 (2700 was on V7), but now, at 100B diff, I am on Zero.
Can my cards with only 2G memory mine anything else, with a profit or I must just sell them somehow?

Sorry, if its not the right thread for my question. If so, please show me the right thread. Thank You

The DAG is usually the problem. This site gives you a few ideas. https://investoon.com/tools/dag_size

Any one, need help

Amd openCl platform not found
No Nvidia cuda gpus detected
No amd open cl ar nvidia cuda gpus found, exit

Just over night happen

Any problems related to a driver, the gpus are not being detected.
it's just windows updated ( cumulative one ). DDU etc...

If you updated to 1803 you need to roll back. This has been discussed earlier in the forum.

you do not need to roll back any more, just after the update use DDU and then install latest AMD drivers, it works fine now
You don't need to roll back, just DDU and reinstall the drivers

What version Radeon drivers are you using?

Hello,

I was using Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 in miningpoolhub
But claymore have a bug and not work in the lastest windows 10 version [Versión 1803 (April 2018 Update)]. There are a lot of people with this problem and not update to the lastest version.

Claymore's not fix this fail.

I wil chekc it several times in severals ring and all works fine in 1709 in not in 1803.

Now I have update all my ring from 1709 to 1803 and claymore not wok.

I recommend all people change the miner program.

Thanks

Roll back to 1709 and you'll be fine.

Is it a claymore bug or a bug with AMD drivers?

thanks, i tried it and worked fine several months ago. I am working fine since april.
I have been waiting 4 months waiting a solution, i think that 4 months is a enough time for fix this bug.
I want change my program to mining, i think that claymore isn´t a serious program if have this bug for a long time.

Re: B250 BTC 12P -12GPU Mining Motherboard @$139 worth it?

Have 4 of these, the AMI aptio bios is ridiculously configurable however its as if this motherboard resources is not mapped correctly.

First off, using 560 2gb (non 6-pin powered) fks up everything if you use 580 or 570, many of those 560 won't start.
PCIE 1 to 4, works PERECTLY, but once you use the gigabytes 560 2gb (non powered) in ANY slot (1 to 4 or normal slots) again , similar issue, gpus randomly not startring.
CPU temp sensor is -70 celsuis GOOD luck burning your celeron/pentium stock fan..... it refuses any power management.... (4 motherboards all of them with the same sensor not working) , if you have a solution let me know.
Last, 2 of the motherboards burnt by a USB device short (i fiddle alot with these and with an asus b250 mining expert) all of the 3 had the same thing (probably the chinese 1800 psu, however i tend to experiment/restart/ force shut alot)
Not sure if thats a fuse or what.... but, 3 motherboards dead is too much for any ROI Smiley I have a good multimeter and a soldering sert but really tired with timings custom optimization and other life stuff.
Hope these info helps.

Only solution to run 560 on this motherboard when you have non powered ones, is to have ALL the GPUs 560 of various types.
Otherwise, motherboard works and PCIE settings in an updated bios i barely got from the ALiexpress vendor are huge.

I am running an rx560 on this board (unpowered), and 2 550s (unpowered). Also have 3 570s on the same board and a 580 (I like to mix it up, haha).

Just another update in case anyone stumbles upon this. I got 7 cards working finally. I found my Win10 install was in legacy mode, not UEFI.

I ended up making a UEFI Win10 USB install drive. Reset the bios. I set the internal gfx to be primary, as once I installed one or more cards I was getting a triple beep. Got it all installed (and fought my way through all the win10 setup again, (updates, start menu not working, etc.).

So I have 7 AMD cards working on this motherboard with Win10 UEFI install (1709). It's running well and stable. So all in all, once I figured out what I was doing, it is a good value board.

Guys, can you help me how to set the claymore to SSL?
I'm trying to change the stratum pool into ssl but it doesn't work on claymore I hope some can help because i'm frustrated setting up my claymore to SSL pool connection.
Unlike Phoenix that It works easily but my problem using Phoenix, it seems my hashrate dropping lately.
make sure the pool supports it, the port is correct and you have ssl prefix:
Code:
-epool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555
Thanks for the reply but I already tried this but it always getting error I mean it's always failed and it keeps retrying it looks like that the Claymore doesn't support SSL.

Look at this image.

What's the command line you're using?

What driver are you using? Did windows install a new driver for you?
I was using an older one that worked fine, I tried installing the most recent and it didn't change anything in performance at all. It's a Windows 7 64 bit, I have updated it to a good point but I have automatic update disabled. So in like 7 months it didn't update at all

Have you done any bios mods on either set of cards?
