Ik krijg binnenkort mijn ASIC binnen die ik vanwege het stroomverbruik en warmteontwikkeling graag ergens anders dan thuis onder zou willen brengen.
Belangrijk is dan natuurlijk dat het stroomtarief scherp(-er dan thuis) is en de internetverbinding betrouwbaar.
Iemand toevallig goede tips of misschien zelfs wat aan te bieden?
Verbruik zal rond 2500 watt liggen.
Ik woon zelf vlak bij Leiden, in de buurt zou fijn zijn maar geen must (ik hoop niet al te vaak op-en-neer te hoeven rijden
)

Never ran a public pool, but ran some private pools for educational purposes.

- NO pools working
I will setup a pool when I have some time on my hands (next few days).I think it's good to have a dedicated SMC pool at this point, which we can control by ourselves.
Other pools don't care much about SMC (which is a bit self-explanatory for now).
We don't need many pools, just need a few good ones. Rest will follow if we survive this.

Maybe we can have a small summary on the first page which shows if exchanges/pools are on the right fork until everyone is updated....this is getting a bit messy, could mess up the coin.
Dev is so reckless, who is gonna do that?
I thought he is going to be more interested in the coin.
But things are not going that way, also the price...
I am pretty sure, if it comes to a good price he will dump everything and leave the coin die as everybody else.
I am so sorry to say these but things are heading that way despite the fact that I love this coin and holding some good amount of it.
It's a bit over-simplified to say the dev is reckless. There's loads of work to be done for this coin, it's understandable he can't do that on his own. As far as I know he is also the only official dev for this coin?
We can't blame it all on the dev, although I have to admit, communication could be better.
I also hold some coins which I mined, bought at "high" price and some bought at the cheap todays.
Will try to start a new unofficial Smartcoin support thread if that's allowed here.

137k is affordable for most people at the current rates...wouldn't worry about it.

Ik loop met een idee rond voor een mining pool, maar ik heb simpelweg te weinig kennis om het goed uit te werken. De basis van de opzet is een multi-pool, maar met wat extra functionaliteit die ik nog nergens anders heb gezien.
Ik ben daarom op zoek naar mensen die mij kunnen helpen met het uitwerken van dit idee (en eventueel kunnen blijven helpen bij de ondersteuning). Mensen die vaardig genoeg zijn om een multi-pool op te zetten schat ik vaardig genoeg in om de extra unieke features te implementeren.
Ik doe zelf op dit moment zelf ook minen, dus daar ben ik wel redelijk bekend mee. Voor de ervaring ook even een MPOS pool opgezet om te kijken wat daar een beetje bij komt kijken. Ik weet alleen van mijzelf dat ik te weinig kennis heb om het goed op te zetten, vandaar dat ik samen wil werken met mensen die meer expertise hebben.
Wat in grote lijnen moet gebeuren is een back-end draaiend krijgen waarbij meerdere coins te minen zijn. Daaroverheen een mooie front-end (niet de standaard MPOS template..).
Ik ben op zoek naar enthousiaste mensen met wat meer ervaring en kennis van programmeren dan dat ik heb (en dat is echt basic).
De reden dat ik het hier neerzet is dat het gewoon makkelijk communiceren is in het Nederlands en ook de mogelijkheid geeft voor fysieke bijeenkomsten wanneer nodig.
Kosten nader overeen te komen. Bijv. vaste prijs (betaling in BTC mogelijk
) voor het ontwikkelen van het project, een deel van de opbrengst of doe een ander goed voorstel.
