Re: CryptoBounty - the newest, most profitable gambling game (90% odds to win)
by

So it seems that I am clearly not getting a refund, or that Cryptobounty is actually capable of checking his own programme to look for the truth of the matter. His evidence is based average payouts. I received an averarge payout, so that is good enough for him.

I game him 2 hours to pay up after he said the case was closed. If he didn't, then I would reveal my experience with his service.

His response is to accuse me of blackmail!!

Then he tried blackmailing me by threatening to publish my emails.

So Cryptobounty, if you're looking in, are we going to see those emails now?

BEWARE of this guy.

NB - This is for a piddling sum - something like 7-10 litecoins, and I am personally only about 4 litecoins out of pocket, so I am not a disgruntled gambler that blew the family fortune. I just don't like dishonesty or people thinking they have no responsibility other than taking your money.

so I have a reply saying "I am sorry you are unhappy with the odds"
and "a request is automatically sent to process your bet and send you your money"

Well clearly I am not unhappy with 50/50 odds - just that the "programme" is clearly malfunctioning

Hmmm

WARNING

I played the 50/50 game yesterday - had a bunch of bets over an hour, one after the other - but just small amounts, e.g. 0.25 - 1

I seemed to be doing well, and estimate I had more wins than losses

Only thing is, there are a lot of wins that I received no payment for. So now I'm out of pocket and so far no reply to email.

The prgramme asks after every bet if you want to play again, but clearly it gets confused when you take it up on the offer.

Hopefully CryptoBounty will reply to my emails today

Shame because otherwise it's a nice little game

Firefox is so crap -

I checked in Chrome and when you hover over the "consolation prize up to 10%" it says:

"consolation is equal to the increase rate minus the interest rate"

I don't quite understand what that means in real terms - can it broken down for people like me?

I did a Google Cache and it shows the consolation prize as 20% this morning!

The odds have suddenly changed from 20% consolation

today - it says a consolation prize of UP TO 10%

Kinda just chucked in there

No warning, no explanation or what "UP TO" means

So, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% ....?

I did a couple of low "bets" on the BTC Bounty which paid off (less than 1 BTC) - money was transferred straight away, so I'm happy.

But looking at the LTC Bounty - currently 169 LTC - I fear that the current owner will be lucky to get rid.

Can we not have FTC included? I have a few thousand that are looking to be frittered away!  Grin

Glad you like the site! Smiley

No FTC just yet, we're waiting for the network to stabilise.

Well I lost a bit on BTC today, but have had a couple of small wins previously and another small win just now.

So I can't complain! :-)

I tried to buy a bomb last night but my money was too late.

However, now I've lost the BTC - a fraction under 0.07 - and no response to emails.

Maybe the guy is busy.

Hopefully he'll respond to my email or this post. Better still, he'll send my refund to the address below.

If not that, I would appreciate the option to place my stake on a bomb of my choice.

don't worry coinbomb have a very good support, you will payback for sure Wink

That's good to hear :-)

Re: ANN: Ripple XRP Orderbook and Charts
by

on 12/06/2013, 17:34:15 UTC
Bitstamp style orderbooks for XRP/BTC and XPR/USD - not live I'm afraid, you'll need to refresh to get latest figures.

now real time with bid/ask/trade data.

http://webr3.org/apps/xrp/charts/btc-xrp
http://webr3.org/apps/xrp/charts/usd-xrp

edit: more currency pairs added (removed btc/usd) and non-specific fixes.
edit: upgraded to use orderbook from websockets via s1.ripple.com
edit: modified to handle unfunded bids/asks
edit: made streaming / realtime.

Donations welcome: rnW7DHtmZGJk4uhGTSU2BW3iPCPWb2xegg

The chart is really good - but sadly the BTC-XRP chart is down - it shows BIDS but not ASKS. This has essentially driven the price down for people buying BTC since there is no trading, only lower and lower buy orders being fulfilled.

This has happened before, but only for a few minutes. This time it has been 2 hours or more.

On the upside, this shows the live chart is a valuable trading tool.

Re: Future value of bitcoin
by

I'd say it has no long-term future. It's slow and cumbersome. It's also associated with Pump and Dump, so few reputable vendors would accept it as payment (unless somehow it was hedged to the dollar).

In the short-term, I think about $300, maybe $500 is possible.

But if Silk Road went out of business ...

wait why do you need accounts? what are you doing with them?

Claim free XRP of coz. Right now 1 month old account ~ 3000 XRP ~ 0.35 BTC.

where is there an offer of 3000 XRP (nearer 0.5 BTC today)?

I saw an offer for 300 or something.

I am offering 0.02BTC+ for jr member accounts older than 1 month.

Looking for a lot of accounts right now, also buying Sr/Hero member accounts (paying more than jr members of course)

Please PM.

So you're offering the equivalent of about $2.50 for an account - that offer isn't really "grabbing" me.

Going to do a smaller bitcoin Give-A-Way!

More to come if this works out good. Only issue I have is there is a .01 fee on every transaction... Any way around this?

Will start giving a few away now and will up the ante once I work everything out.

Post an address and receive bitcoin!

I hereby claim my free bitcoins - :-)

Re: It's stupid that newbies must make 5 posts and browse for 4 hours. Here's why
by
jezzyjensen
on 05/06/2013, 18:36:06 UTC
The restrictions on this forum are sub-par. The part where you have to browse for four hours is kind of reasonable and understandable.

However, having to post 5 times is ridiculous. The reason being is that it encourages spam posts. If you go to the newbies section most of is spam. The reason being is people just spam posts in order to post in the other forums.

This is a terrible idea. Now I have to sit here for four hours before released my project, and I have to make tons of these stupid pointless posts.

Thanks bitcointalk.

Well, quite, and I find myself replying to your post, and adding to the jungle of Spam, merely to top up my post count.

Re: Bitcoin/Litecoin Wallet Backup

Thanks Aleksei, but I am trying to understand it better.  Wink

Okay, so when I back the wallet up with the Litecoin wallet, I get a "save as". Do I have to save it as "wallet.dat" so it replaces the original file. or can I call it something else like "newwallet.dat" as long as I save it to the same folder?
