I don't like the buy and sell thresholds. I guess because they don't make any sense. Why do you need a threshold and what is that really helping you do? If I just want to trade EMA lines crossing why can't I do that? I tried inputting those negative numbers and tried it on the back testing and I can't really see it performing like it should. My bot sold at $603 today at 1Hr intervals default settings. But if it would of sold as soon as it went negative it would of sold at $629. I guess I'm just dissapointed in this bot. It seems to make a lot of bad trades. Does anyone have good setting for this bot that give any better results? I wish I knew programming. It seems like you know what the bot should do but it just does whatever it wants and makes pretty bad moves. I thought I would give it another shot but its killing me.

How can you make the bot trade right when the EMA crosses. It always seems to wait till the next tick and I want it to trade as soon as it goes positive or negative. Anyone know?

One thing I did notice that you might want to check out. On the automatic payout it says I can choose 0-250000 but it only lets me put in 99999 max.

I just started on your pool yesterday. I made a manual  withdrawal request yesterday and set the auto payout this morning and my mined coins are just sitting their. My other pool the withdraws were almost instant. What gives?

OK, so we've figured out what the issue was.

The third block found by the pool was an orphan, and that messed with the payouts, effectively giving some people coins that it shouldn't have. But the system will straighten itself out over the next two rounds, keeping track of the shares everyone earned and paying out properly.

Once those two blocks are complete, everything will be back to normal and withdrawals will be available. In other words, don't take off--the more hash power we have, the sooner these blocks will be complete and it will all be settled properly.

We've fixed the cron issue that caused the problem in the first place, and it won't happen again.

We apologize for the delay in withdrawals this has caused.

We're monitoring the pool constantly, by the way, and the latest upgrades have given us tons more capacity. We're well under the limits right now, so if you want to tell your friends to come mine with us, we'll have plenty of overhead to serve them, too. (And it would help clear these next two blocks a bit faster, helping everyone out).

Thank you all for mining with us!

Thanks got my withdrawal. I must admit your pool is one of the fastest I tried to locate in the last few days. Keep up what ever you are doing as it's working great!

Account ID: 1501 I made a withdrawal and it has said completed since this morning but I don't see the money in my wallet. Has it actually been sent yet?
We have a problem with the NXT client interface in that some payments are being shown as sent, given transaction id but not included in the blockchain. Your tx may be one of them. This is a very unfortunate turn of events and is greatly adding to our workload currently, leading to further delays.

Could you tell me what account this was paid or will be paid to. I just want to make sure their wasn't a mistake.

I got it the other day. All is well. Thanks!

I like the idea of the trailing stop to help protect you in a crash. Say I have my bot set to trade frequency of two hours...Lets say it started crashing within that hour and dropped 50%. I have my trailing lose set to 40%. Would it sell instantly when it hit 40% within that 2 hour time frame or would it wait till the next check-in that it does every two hours? Also is their a way to see what the trailing loss is at. That would be a cool thing to display. What its current high number is and what number it would have to hit according to your percentage to trigger the stop loss.

Any new features scheduled to be coming to the bot soon?

I'm kind of interesting in trading MACD. What do you think of using that as trading indicator or a way to incorporate that into the bot?

You know a feature I think might be nice since all the exchanges work in tandem basically. Yesterday my BTC-e went to a buy signal but Bitstamp never did. And then BTC-E went back to sell today..So basically it was a loser trade. I would like a feature that my bot doesn't make a buy or sell without the other exchanges I'm trading on having the same signal. Does that make sense or do you think it could be helpful or not?

I did a lot of math today on what it would have taken to not take that BTC-e loss.  In the end, I concluded that it was simply a false trend signal from unique activity on that exchange (possibly due to alt activity).  There are going to be false trend signals with EMA...  yep, statistics show 70% of the time.

People a lot smarter then I have tried to come up with "solutions" to help mitigate these, but I have never seen one that appreciably reduces the EMA error rate.

This ain't magic, it is just a mathematical formula that statistically will keep you ahead of the curve in the long run.

Dreary market last couple of days for sure.

Smiley

That's what I was wondering if this was a unique occurrence or something that happened more often. And what you described makes sense and I guess it really won't come up to often. Like you said the market has been basically sideways with little movement. Is their a way a bot can tell the market isn't really moving fast in one direction or another and that maybe it should hold off on a buy or sell as it isn't really a trend? Or that it should do a smaller % of your funds till its sure of the trend and then do the rest. All most like an less aggressive setting? Like you said their have been smart people who explored these scenarios so I doubt it but still would like some ways to minimize the losses and maximize the profits.

Hi Pablo,
Just wanted to say that I managed to install BBot (the newest version) using 'Developer mode' ('Load unpacked extension'). Works ok, although backtesting takes quite a time (how long does the 1week option takes you guys? I started it 10min ago and it still 'Please wait...' me).
After installing I spotted that the default buy and sell thresholds should be changed, as they're set to buy1:0, buy2:0, sell1:0.25, sell2:0.25. I'm sure that everyone review these setting before starting fun wit your bot though Wink

I just caught that on mine the other day when Pablo took a screen shot of the recommended settings. Before I did that mine was set as you described and I thought it was correct. But I had only ran it for a few days with that setting. Oh about the please wait, I maybe noticed that glitch too, that if it just keps saying says please wait more than a few seconds I just hit it again and it works or I change a setting and hit it.

I would like butter bot to support the alt currencies on BTC-E and maybe since their are so many it can find opportunities by trading in one verse any other. Like maybe buying bitcoins from USD then buying litcoins with the bitcoins verse just buying litcoins with USD.Which ever one has more volatility or it detects an opportunity in a certain one.  I hope you know what I mean I had a hard time explaining it Smiley  I love butter bot but I can see it needs volatility to really shine. I was interested in the virtual stocks also but if they don't have much volatility I don't know if that would be much better like seanrarey said it may be better to direct all your efforts here??

I was wondering if you ever thought of Firefox support. I have always used Firefox and would prefer to use that browser instead of chrome. I don't trust Google Smiley

I am not un-happy with the robot. It has made some trades. I don't think they are a scam. I don't like the marketing aspect of it. I don't like that in my mind that I thought it would pay for itself in a month or two but from the small amount of trades its doing I can see that won't happen. I still have over a month to see if the robot actually produces me a profit more than just me buying and holding. I don't really think you can test a robot in a up market. You need some down and up markets to really see it shine if it can. Everyone is in profit from the rising prices of bitcoin right now. They launched that sucker at the right time! If they even said it could generate 10% from trades monthly I would be happy and it may yet..I just got to give it time and hopefully bitcoins will fluctuate more so I can see what it can really do.

As for the settings in the Robot what would you suggest? I know we have a choice of Conservative, Medium, Aggressive, and Custom. Could you explain a little more about those different settings and if we go in the custom setting what would adjusting each one do exactly. Would you recommend different settings depending on what Bitcoins are doing? I currently have mine set to Aggressive but I'm not sure if that's the best setting.
