I am very optimistic about this project. Today we will get more news, I am waiting for the ATH. Can't imagine what price will be after release. It's sad that I bought small amount during Period 0.

Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ?
by

I do not believe in such a scenario, it will mean an ETH capitalization of more than 10 trillion. Only if we are talking about 5-10 years, but it will definitely be not the same ETH as we have now.

Re: The factors you should take into account to predict a coins price after the ICO?
by
jimmyl

You can use a simple rule: if there is a lot of hype around the ICO and it is clear that they will quickly get hard cap, then it makes sense to try to buy on the ICO. Because on the first day on the stock exchange there will be many people who want to buy. If the project hardly collects money, then the price on the stock exchange on the first day is likely to go down.

I hope that everyone now knows that it is a fake. Or we can say "inaccurate" translation :-) Korean authorities stated that they have no intention to ban cryptocurrency trading. But KYC is definitely become mandatory for exchanges, which is good in my opinion.

You can put more new projects to you list. They have a better chance to grow x10-x100, for example:

1) Elf
2) ITC

Just look through projects with a market cap 20-50mil on CMC - a lot of treasures are hidden there)

Re: Should I buy Ripple now?
by

on 12/01/2018, 13:20:49 UTC
No you shouldn't. I don't see Ripple as a long-term investment, because it is not truly decentralized and also has a tight bonds to banks. It's price can be easily manipulated, so if you don't have any insight information you shouldn't mess with them.

Re: ETH VS BTC

In my opinion, bitcoin will become something like digital gold. At least in the next couple of years it will remain the main repository of value in the cryptoworld. On the other hand the ETH can be replaced by a newer modern competitor such as Neo, ArcBloc, Icon, EOS.

Yes, I continue to believe in ICO as an investment opportunity for common people. Righ now we can see the second wave of successful ICOs. A few more such waves and the market will come to its normal state. I'm sure it will be interesting.

Good morning everybody, it is nice to see that GBX is doing this well in all of this movements in the market. This is a very good sign.
I am expecting great things next year. From what I saw form parts of whitepaper that was shown at Discord many important updates are in the making.
Exciting times are ahead!
They've got a very long whitepaper in the making that mostly consists of redefentions of things already developed by other guys like SegWit, Atomic Swap, Neoscrypt etc. Not sure it's a right approach.

Why reinvent something if there is already existing solution that works great. You don't see a car manufacturer trying to invent something that would replace wheels. It is already a best possible solution.
If they pack all of the best goodies available into one coin that can only be a good thing.
I'm not saying they shouldn't use it, I'm saying that doesn't usually get in the white paper: if you use something well described elsewhere, you just leave a link and an attribution, not copypaste it again and again. That's the scientific tradition and white papers for crypto take root in that traditon. "We'll have atomic swap as described in [XXX16, YYY17]" is much better than "Atomic swap is [...three pages of XXX16 and YYY17 rewritten...]".

ZenCash and SALT look good now. First one is pretty low and haven't pumped yet in December, second one is solid overall and will soon be releasing the platform.

Re: What to do if Bitcoin Price Crashes
by

That is the time to buy more bitcoin. That is what i am hoping for the past month. But it won't gonna happen though. Bitcoin will go down but just a little then it will go up double.

The next major spike may occur after 6-7 months, when NASDAQ will list the Bitcoin futures. Until then, the prices are either going to remain at $15K-16K levels, or going to slide further. I would advice you to wait for a few more days, so that the trend is clear. As long as the scaling issue persists, the price is not going to climb upwards.
Lightning networks are going to be deployed pretty soon, so scaling issue won't be so pressing anymore. But I don't agree with your assessment overall: scaling issues don't really affect Bitcoin price growth.

I can do geocaching in my city (outside the US) for a bounty, if you want.

Send me a PM please.

**UPDATE:  I am currently building a web form for users OUTSIDE THE USA to be able to apply to help post caches in their country.  It should be completed sometime tomorrow**
Waiting for that form!

I think it will be difficult for any altcoin to compete with bitcoin as it is already a household name.

I think Echat token (ECHT) should be considered as a viable investment as the project is revolutionizing the social media by decentralised the social media using blockchain technology.

I don't think that any blockchain social media project gonnabe successful, honestly. A lot of blockchain strong sides are irrelevant but weak/double-sided ones sides like low scalability and immutability by design are extremely hampering.
