I prefer to hold DAI because it's decentralized and can't be frozen.
USDT is centralized, can be frozen and not 100% backed with real USD fiat, so it will be more dangerous to hold rather than USD. Even though it's on top 3 market cap and has many holders, but both of them aren't guarantees to say it's safe.

I plan on selling some of my altcoins in the near future. Instead of converting it to fiat, I will rather convert it to BTC and stablecoins. I hear a lot of concerns regarding USDT, which is why I want to ask you guys what stablecoin you prefer to hold?

For now I still like USDT stable tokens, I still believe in them, so I still keep USDT up to now, I plan on selling some of my altcoins in the near future. I have been lurking for the past couple of years. I have discovered a pattern I would like to share. When there is a bull run on Bitcoin, the quality of the topics on bitcointalk takes a turn for the worse. Is there no moderation in terms of removing completely irrelevant or just plain stupid topics? If I remember corretcly the moderation was a bit stricter back in the days. I find myself wasting so much time digging through shitpiles of topics in search for a gem. “Then stop digging and find another home” you might say. Well, this is the OG, so I would rather not have to.

You're also part of the problem. Your topic/post complaining about low quality posts is a low quality post. It doesn't really belong in Bitcoin discussion, it belongs in Meta because it's about the bitcoin forum.
My strong side is not the technical side of Bitcoin. Honestly much of the technology behind Bitcoin is gibberish to me. However, what fascinates me about Bitcoin is the ideology behind.
I don't consider this topic to be a low quality topic. It is a real concern regarding the part of the forum where it is posted. What kind of question could be more relevant?

Polkadot is heavily overpriced. Market cap of 15 bil $ is waaaaay too high. However, with so much liquidity flowing into cryptocurrencies right now, the price will probably still go up.

Pay 2000$ for ticket, spend 30 h in plane to go for shareholders meeting to say that I don't like how youtube is censoring and demonetizes videos that was never targeted and kids for not kid friendly content? Owning 0,000001% of a company is enough to force the CEO and board of directors to hear out your opinion. Doesn’t matter if you are a minoriy og majority shareholder. That is imo pretty special.
However, I get that this is pure theory in many countries, as the cost and time spent participating is too much. But in many european countries, Denmark for example, logistics isn’t a problem.

I don’t think that the banks will succeed. However, as they fail to succeed I think that they will somewhat be much more likely to accept Bitcoin as a real asset. I get why the banks think like they do right now. Decentralization means less revenue, less regulation and less power, which must be kind of scary from their perspective.
I think a part of the problem for many of the ICO’s in early 2018 was that the value of the Ethereum raised during the ICO was worth much less in the aftermarket, which affected the efficiency of the projects.
At the same time the team behind RED has done a ridiculously poor job on the marketing side. However, this could very well change soon, as the product is ready for release soon. At the same time it has a market cap of just 1,3 mil, which means it is heavily undervalued compared to other projects in this space.

It is either going to be a smashing succes - or die a quick death. I hope for the first.
One thing that got me a bit worried though, was the video of the office just before the launch of pre-sale. The office and desks were complete empty. Like it was just a set made for the filming. The only piece of hardware visible, was a camera in the development department. I have seen a lot of development departments in real life, but none as empty as this. I saw this after I had already invested, so I hope that I am dead wrong.
