Re: Difference between BTC and ETH
by

on 08/05/2018, 07:35:07 UTC
Hello everyone,
I know that BTC started a new era to currency world and ETH has also some interesting technology. But i am curios what differs ETH from BTC. Is ETH better than BTC ? BTC is more stable in terms of price but obviously ETH has some advantages over it as they are becoming more popular day by day.
Thank you  Cheesy

Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency paved way for other currencies of its nature. Bitcoin though holds some fragmental element of smart contracts but it was Ethereum that exploded the smart contract functionality..

It currently houses several projects..

FYI Bitcoincash is forking to increase it's block size from 8mb to 31mb so as to support smart contracts functionality.

Re: My $100.000 challenge
by

on 08/05/2018, 07:25:24 UTC
For interested I've decided to do a challenge where I go from $836.92 in BTC and make it into $100.000 before year end - This will all be documented on Facebook through the link below with (almost) live trading history.

Feel free to follow if you like to see me blow up or maybe even hit my target.

https://www.facebook.com/Bitcoin-challenge-1700634350012408/

I am no financial advisor, and it's purely my own thoughts and charts on the Facebook site. It is done as a challenge to myself, and to prove to people, that you don't need a lot of money to get success, but of course, big rewards comes with big risks.

This it s very much achievable.. Run the math carefully n invest in cheap projects.... Your money will multiply incredibly.

All the best as you grow your finances..

Yup!!  And there are too many people trying to start businesses daily..  If we what mass adoption,  we should also welcome these kind of development though many turn out to be outright scams.

Since now smart money is in, they will make us need crypto currencies in the future.

So you can HODL! And you will have a nice life. Enjoy!!

Yeah maybe that's true. But with the way enthusiast are picking on each other and bashing the life outta other coins they don't like thus gives the new guys a confused perspective. They would or could start following these unfounded criticism n probably take the wrong step which would cost them money.

Y'all know how that will turn out for them.. They would say crypto is ponzi...

I have this same idea of using Blockchain on my country's agro industry but one draw back is the level of exposure to this technology and general technology itself.

I wonder how you will be able to surmount the issue of default by participants in the platform

Re: Can You Join An ICO By Just Reviewing A Project's Team Background?
by
jinxcreedy
on 07/05/2018, 10:57:34 UTC
This is not an acceptable way of joining an ICO. You have to ask your self if the project makes sense and whether it can survive for a long time. Your money is important so you just don't have to throw it away anyhow

Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence
by
jinxcreedy
on 30/04/2018, 23:31:50 UTC
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

I really hate seeing kyc for any project....... seems the worldwide adoption we have been craving for came with its own problem of eroding our privacy. I wont get involved in kyc for an airdrop.

Re: Exchange or Wallet?
by

on 30/04/2018, 23:25:22 UTC
the question can be re asked. I will ask you if its better to keep your money in your own pocket or give it to a passerby to keep for  you? keeping coins in the exchange could be as a result of several reasons. The major is trading convenience and the cost of withdrawing to your own wallet. but the simple fact and truth still remains wallet preferably the hardware wallet is the best way to keep your money.

When I saw we this I felt bad for the victims. Many will blame MEW for security issue but they fail to realize that security of a software can only stand strong when the user employ good internet surfing habits.

Quite unfortunate though.

I have been a target of a cyber attack some years ago. Within 5 hours I got h it t over 23 times. But I didn't fall because I employ good surfing habits /ethics

Drop some few 10$ in some shitcoins that are less than 50satoshi then consider getting into well researched ICOs that are newly listed on  trading exchanges.

Re: Advantage of BITCOIN
by
jinxcreedy
on 24/04/2018, 06:46:38 UTC
Bitcoin allows money to be sent anonymously across a peer-to-peer global network, with no intermediaries needed to validate or process transactions. That has made it attractive to those who want to keep their identity secret, including those buying and selling illegal goods and services on the internet.

You gave good merits of bitcoin over traditionally currencies. But I will add my own which is the ability to transact business over several countries effecting payments in a matter of minutes.
That is bitcoin.

Creating machines that can understand crowd emotions and swiftly act on it is still far away from the general population.

I don't know how you did it and how it actually works (that's if it works).

But I would very much like to see it working practically to gauge if it does what y
Preached it does.

These pools are just.....  I don't think I will want to get involved in any pool. I prefer to handle my financial dealings myself as any pool could dissappear with your money and you will be left with no way to recover.

I will stick to the core believe n principles of satoshi. Be your own bank and be independently free from all form of centralization.

Re: ICO VS Established Altcoin
by
jinxcreedy
on 24/04/2018, 05:31:19 UTC
I am quite hesitant when it comes to investing in ICOs, I usually go for alts that are in the top 100 of market cap at least.

Don't you think its a less risky option?

What is your take on this?

I believe your fears are well founded however,  it's because you have a good pocket that is why you target those top 100. ICOs are risky yet they offer better returns to investors. Compare PARETO. If you invested $10,000 about four weeks ago, today you would be having over $350,000. How many top 100 could give you such returns?

Everyone do have their own unique strategies

This is a nice compendium of a day's lecture on getting into bounties. I commend your effort. Kudos to you.

I also want to reiterate that persons should do critical review of the project before getting onboard so as not to promote a scam projects and be blacklisted by members of the community

Re: Biggest profit from an AirDrop?
by
jinxcreedy
on 21/04/2018, 22:29:21 UTC
If I have a few mins to kill during the day (usually when waiting for ETH/BTC to hit the exchanges from my wallet) Ill sign up for an airdrop or two. Most of the ones that I have either haven't hit exchanges or are worth under $1.

TRON (TRX) was the first one for me that actually did something.

500 free TRX peaked at ~$30 and is currently worth ~$19

HODLing!

Airdrops are great. There are some airdrops i joined that are giving me some good returns at the moment. there is one i registered for which i now have about 87usd. while there is another that i have over 1000 usd from it right now. I still join airdrops though as they could mean some good money in the future. Mostly i  will leave them till the end of the year as i have funds to run my daily expenses.
