When you're trouble with funds and you wallet don't sync, make this steps...
Works to me:
1- Delete all files except the file wallet.dat;
2- Open the wallet other time;
3- Wait for SYNC;
4- When your wallet sync make an dumpprivkey #YOURADDRESS# (change #YOURADDRESS# for your wallet address);

6- Make an New address and put this on console:

I have tried following this advice. It goes well until step 6. Whenever I enter "importprivkey [PRIVKEYNUM123]" I get the message "Error adding key to wallet (code -4). Am I doing something wrong?
No idea. What problem are you having? Just with syncing, or with it not showing your correct balance when it is in sync?
Fairly certain that I'm on the wrong fork. Wallet shows no balance, stake or uncofirmed SHARE, yet it acknowledges that I had an incoming share transaction of 65k for the distribution. There's also one staking transaction that was never confirmed. The wallet is up to date on the network though.

Most of people can not synchronize with the internet as I know.

Close the wallet, delete peers.dat from C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\ShareCoin
Hmm, I tried that, but there is no "ShareCoin" folder in the "Roaming" folder.

Im official the worst day trader haha. Lost 4 DRK trying to sell and buy back.
4 DRK? I'm at a couple thousand lost right now. Think I will never trade DRK again, I have nothing but terrible luck with it. This market just doesn't make any sense to me and seems to operate against all logic.
No news - price doubles. RC2 testing - price drops 30%. I'll just hold what I have left and forget trying to make more from trading it.
edit : market aside DRK is a great coin and really the only one I care to deal with long term, but F day trading it.

The rise was clearly inevitable... and trying to beat the rise of any asset [darkcoin in this case] in a bull-trend is foolish,
My advice - AS HARD AS IT IS TO DO NOTHING, until Darkcoin plateaus [imho by year-end in the hundreds-of-millions of dollars], buckle-up and enjoy the view.
You do realize that it has tested 500k twice and that it currently sits under 400k, right?

Is there any reason my address on the blockchain does not reflect my wallet? I looked up my address, and the balance is totally different, although its obviously mine because it has a number of the same transactions (and some other ones that I don't recognize).
same issue here. shows only half of the real balance. i wonder how the dev will check the wallet balance (for stake) if it doesn't show the real value.
In your wallet you see the sum of all that however each address as far as minting is concerns are independent
Don't think this is it because most everything was done through one address. I only have one other address, which I looked up and it could not be located....

I really appreciate your efforts on getting the subreddit. Could you try using this (http://s29.postimg.org/rb6ebs107/communitycoin_twitter_2_800x267.jpg) as a big banner at the top of the page and then just leave the background white? I think the red background is really distracting and a white background is fine for COMM since its one of the two colors on the coin and logos.

100% of blackcoin was instamined in the first six days (only 1% more coins per year after the first six days). I always wondered by people care with Darkcoin and not Blackcoin.
I don't think the concern is about who did or didn't make early gains - the concern is, why has the price been stuck in a trading range of 15-20 for weeks, despite clear, public progress toward full release of Darksend and other features.
To dismiss that concern as "FUD", "trolls" and impatience is really not the best way to address legitimate concerns.
People are looking for answers and clarity on the market trajectory of this coin. It's only in that context that instamining has come up as a possible explanation.
I think AlexGR and others have provided reasonable theories - that's the way to go, not dismissing those concerns. One theory is that it's possible that future success has already been fully priced in - but that's hard to believe.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about this. The markets are obsessed with riding the next PnD. Even as I type, DOPE tops out at +333% increase, for example. Virtually everyone on twitter or in the IRC chat that I've seen mention "long-term" holds (I get the sense that this means more than a few weeks), considers DRK a worthwhile investment. But if you're good at this game, DRK makes you no short-term money, and if youre not, you probably aren't aware of it (or at least its massive potential).
The only reason it rose the other day was not because of R1, but because it was mentioned by a relatively popular twitter trader (admittedly, I'm sure the mention was based on R1, I'm sure) and was PnD'd like anything else. Once DRK gets a bit further along in the process, and starts getting mentioned by key twitter users, its value will go way up, I think.
Also, ZET is just too compelling right now. Speaking of which, they have one wallet which at one point had something like 1/3 of all coins, and if this Kenyan rumor turns out to be true, it'll probably moonshot anyway.
I know this is off topic, but what Kenyan rumor are you referring to?
Dev had been hinting at a "major deal" for weeks. Supposedly went to Kenya to seal it. A pdf was leaked online detailing how it was likely that ZET had struck some kind of deal with M-PESA. Cue PnD. Price has now settled back down, but the dev maintains the deal is going through and that an announcement will be made early next week. It's been quite a melodrama on twitter, but pretty easy to profit off of, if you know what you're doing.
