Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency

Straks is SegWit and SegWit2x active, Lightning Network compatible, Atomic Swap compatible and an increased non-SegWit block size of 4MB; introducing the first Masternode-enabled digital currency based off core Bitcoin version 0.14.2. STRAKS endeavours to eliminate unwanted transaction malleability through SegWit activation from day 0; solves capacity constraints suffered by Bitcoin and its peer group through a larger non-SegWit block size and increased signature operations - effectively introducing SegWit4x; is Lightning Network compatible - supporting instant payments, scalability, low cost and cross blockchain transactions; proposes a fair distribution through a Zero Start Instamine Protection (ZSIP) policy and Zero Start Masternode Reward (ZSMR) policy; introduces a new unique Masternode payment re-balancing algorithm, labelled Reactive Equilibria (REV1); and furthermore, implements a modified version of the new effective D106 difficulty re-targeting algorithm.

Great job devs! Truly innovative, and useful coin for the purpose of ecommerce. Straks has a bright future, and a brilliant development team.

Why cant a big investor voice out his opinion?

Why is cryptovore allowed to have authority here? someone neutral should take over.

At no time did you simply "voice your opinion".

I read ALL your posts.  Every one of your posts was an attack on cryptovore and/or the dev team.
You did not "voice" your opinion, you constantly made DEMANDS and when your demands were not immediately addressed, you started calling the devs scammers.

Anyone that read your posts could easily discern that you are spoiled little man who feels entitled and that everyone should be at your beck and call and immediately drop what they are doing to answer you.

The dev team and others "offered" to make things right and do something to give back to the community.  YOU were not happy with a mere offer.  YOU DEMAND they compensate you for your losses.
Maybe Google the definition of the word "offer".

The dev team owes you NOTHING
cryptovore owes you NOTHING

You obviously can't handle the fact you lost with your investment in sigt.  If you can't handle losing, then you shouldn't be investing in crypto coins.  It has been stated many times.  Crypto coins is a "volitile" marketplace.  DO NOT INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE.

It is because cryptovore/vikingchild shouldn't be in the middle of this. That guy is the biggest threat to this new coin. I only say those to make the other devs take a second look.
You should read the previous discord. It's all there. What could possibly go wrong on the new coin without this cryptovore "scammer"? We'll all have peace of mind without him.

cryptovore please leave the thread moderation to others and for god sake do not take a cut on the pre-mine(he proposed /salaries/bonuses..etc.. self-benefits). You are not deserving.

Bruno is a much deserving fellow and no hidden intention on the coin. Cryptovore is a different animal in the wild.

Relic you need to make your mind up, you have gone from saying Vikingchild/Cryptovore is at the lead of this project to now just the middle of it, you are making it difficult for anybody to believe your legitamacy, again you call Cryptovore out as a scammer, I ask, what evidence?

I was present the entire time on the original Discord, and just like the rest of us Cryptovore himself was duped by Doc and sigtd.

The only time I saw Cryptovore have to defend himself was when McJewbie constantly demanded his promo video for signatum was broadcasted and Cryptovore refused as he deemed it false info that would create false hype the coin did not need.

He too asked Cryptovore to leave the project

He too had many demands that could not be fulfilled

He too began a hate campaign against Cryptovore for not bowing to his commands, ending in death threats from McJewbie.

You sound like McJewbie.....nobody should ever go full McJewbie.

freshen up your mind epi, dont judge me by my comments and shittalks. take a good look.

he is at the center of it. just like doc before. hmmm. sounds fishy. read the previous discord.
What makes you say he is at the center of it? He is the face and voice of Straks. The one who markets the coin. By your definitions, devs should market?

He is the OP of this thread, He is a core-team on discord. He is in everything about the new coin. By that alone, you can see the same scenario with the doctor and signatumd.
But the worst part, he is untrustworthy. There lies my rant and disgust. If he's really a man of whatever he claims to be, step aside.

Guys, freshen up your mind. We aim the same. success. but be wary that guy. Just like our time with the doctor, now we have vikingchild/cryptovore.

the new coin devs have a flat hierchy with no one person able to have full control of any part of the project. absolutely nothing like signatum. stop spreading lies you are only making yourself sound stupid. literally nobody is falling for your bs

Relic,

You are kindly advised to stop spreading unfounded self-fabricated lies and proceed to other crypto projects instead.

I have said enough on this subject with you and frankly I am done entertaining your unconstructive comments, simply because you are angry that I removed you from Discord.

Immediately after you were removed from Discord, you proceeded to open a Bitcointalk account, with the sole purpose to distribute your self-fabricated and self-serving lies as you were angry with me for removing you for Discord for inappropriate behaviour (that you were warned repeatedly to tone down on) as well as for Doctor for scamming you. Just like you, I lost substantial sums on Signatum myself. At one point my Signatum holdings were worth in excess of 10btc (vast majority gained through mining, and 0.88 BTC invested of personal BTC holdings), today I would not even get half a bitcoin. I can attest that I never at any point in time sold a single Signatum myself. So if I am a scammer I must be the worst scammer in human history, unless the objective of that supposed scam was to scam myself? Rather than take my personal feelings towards the Doctor and Skankhunter out unto others, who have nothing to do with it, I choose to channel my emotions and energy towards something positive instead, that helps people out. I, along with this group of people I have gathered, aim to create a positive ethical corner in the crowded crypto-scam-marketplace.

Just do not project your feelings you have for the Signatum founders onto me nor this project.

Any future comments from you are subject to moderation if they are not based on facts.

The only way for the project to move on is you not to be part of it. Why do want part of this project so badly? Leave. Epicyclic can handle the moderation of this thread. The core team can open another space for a better suited member with no maligned intention. There's no need of you here.

Enough of your scam. Don't you have shame?
shut up relic please. no one cares about your opinions

I could care not. I just want to recover even portion of my US$ 30K investment. But with the pretentious scammer in the middle of the project, there is no chance i can do that. And so the many others who are also in my position.

Ask him to leave to protect whatever investment you made on this project. Then we can move on.

i invested 30k as well, and in no way think this new coin is a scam. how is he a scammer? he just said he LOST almost 10 btc investing in sigt 1, you are hurting the new project by spreading fud moron

Delist Notice: Signatum
As the vast majority of Signatum customers will be aware, there have been recent issues with this coin, which has led to us putting it in the delisting queue. Signatum is currently scheduled to be delisted on 20 Oct 2017. Read on for the reasons why this has been deemed our best course of action at this time.

The combination of us having 18,000 addresses and users mining directly to our addresses caused there to be over a million small inputs. This caused the wallet to irreparably break while syncing. We attempted to resolve this many times, using different distros and hardware configurations, however this did not work. If we synced the blockchain first, then imported the keys, it would start importing 5-10 keys / second, however this rate drops to about 1 key every 3-4 seconds after ~15k. After a week of importing keys on several instances the wallets corrupted and crashed every time. We also tried importing the keys first then syncing the blockchain, in this case it synced back to around 19th August and then also crashed and corrupted.

We have determined this to be likely due to the leveldb library used within the coin which is extremely out of date. It is the same library used in many other coins, however most use a much more up to date version.
This is why the Signatum wallet had been in maintenance for around the last month, while we have been constantly attempting to work with it. During this time, we had a Signatum team member visit our office in person and found no issues with our implementation of Signatum, and observe the sync issues. We have also been in constant communication with a Signatum team member informing of what was happening throughout and were told by him that he was informing the rest of their team.

To finally resolve this, we have managed to set up 8 separate wallets and imported 1/8 of the overall keys into each of these. We then had to move transactions around to consolidate the tiny inputs. This is a terribly painful process and not scalable.

FYI we are currently having to move coins from the 8 wallets to 1 consolidated wallet to process withdrawals. Once this process is complete, we will then scan the 8 wallets for any missing deposits, so anyone that has made deposits while it has been in maintenance will have to wait until this before their deposits show up so they can withdraw again.(edited)
The reason we are now closing the markets is that the Signatum community and now the core Signatum team have blamed us for this issue and are threatening us with litigation, when the issue is purely with the Signatum wallet and out of date codebase. The dev does not seem able or willing to fix the issues with their code. We have put in a very significant amount of time trying to get this up and running so our users can use their coins. However, it is not our responsibility to work with the Signatum codebase (or any other coin) to fix their problems any further, we've already gone well beyond what we should be doing to resolve this.

Some users have been comparing us to other exchanges and asking why they don't have a similar problem. We have a significantly higher number of transactions than the other exchanges that currently list this coin. They will run into similar issues when they reach a more significant level of transactions. The problem with Signatum codebase is provable and replicable. They need to fix this or this will happen again wherever Signatum ends up.

Signatum now appears to also be threatening Cryptopia with legal action (via twitter) and accusing Cryptopia of not knowing how to use wallets. We run and maintain literally many hundreds of wallets. Signatum built just 1 wallet by copying very old code from elsewhere and don't seem able or willing to update it to something that actually works at scale. Draw your own conclusions, and if you back Signatum after all this good luck to you.

Regardless of where the fault lies, a major exchange has now put this out there about SIGT. The SIGT team is going to have to fix the problems described should they exist, or make some other changes if they don't. Whatever is done needs to be sold to people as a faster & more efficient SIGT. They have to do something and make it very public they did something in order to rebuild confidence and move beyond this.

Is this true that signatum is not scalable? That they are using an out if date codebase? This makes me nervous for the long term if this is true

Try restarting usually clears it up.

Thanks.

The wallet works fine, I didn't notice any problems.
your wallet probably does work fine, but mine doesn't. its still stuck on the same block. I obviously tried to restart it. i tried to reinstall it multiple times. it's still stuck on the same block. it worked fine yesterday but i think my computer shut down suddenly. when i turned it back on the wallet stopped working. does anybody know how to fix it?
