Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games
by

on 19/08/2022, 01:53:18 UTC
A lot of poker game tournaments have been announced on this board over time, and am I kind of wondering what makes poker games so inclined to the tournament and we don't see such competitions being announced for other games?

Short: Poker is one of the few (if not only) gambling where skill can prevail.

Better reward people for their skill than luck Smiley

Re: Are all altcoins dependent on Bitcoin?
by

on 23/06/2021, 12:07:49 UTC
I want to understand if all altcoins are built upon the foundation of BTC. This is because when there is severe crash of BTC, all other coins, I mean all, also crash.

Is there no independence in the cryptocurrency world?

Thank you!

Most altcoins have no real connection to BTC, except their pairing on exchanges.
When BTC starts dropping, people usually exit alts and try to buy BTC at lower prices, thus causing a cascade effect

This, in my opinion, is the most accurate explanation of the movement in the altcoin market. We all know that they are not really related to Bitcoin, but they always follow the direction of the price of Bitcoin.

Re: Holding and taking profits
by
jjdub7
on 23/06/2021, 11:50:10 UTC
From analysis, it has been argued severally that hodlers are winner and earn more profits than traders, this depends on your expertise and where you fall into. The current situation now means that anyone that bought lower and didn't take profit because of greed or another reason will soon be at loss or breakeven if things continue to go down. Now many people are lamenting because they didn't expect this at this time and didn't take profit because they thought the uptrend will last more for better profit. For people that has been here for long knows the cycle and this kind of situation is inevitable. For people that can be patient I think they can still get back to the former or expected profit but this is not guaranteed. In my opinion I think it's better to hodl and take profit at the right time and wait for the dip to buy back more quantities and wait for more profit. This way you earn more profits. What do you feel is best to do when holding a coin, please share your opinions!

For me personally, trading in the markets can be more profitable than holding, but the question is to what extent you can and know how to trade in the markets. Many people think it's easy and lose their money, so most of them think that trading is not profitable, but for me it's the opposite. It's just a matter of knowledge, experience and large enough capital (however, the larger the amount you make the transactions, the profit increases).

Re: Any profitable project in bounties altcoins?

I want to earn extra income through bounty hunting and hopefully you can share good projects worthy joining for in signature campaign.

No one can say for sure which campaign will be successful and which can bring bounty hunters some profit, so you better rely on your own research on the projects.

P.S. there is almost no campaign to accept members with "member" rank. It will be quite difficult for you to find one.

Re: Be Prepared for the big dump.
by

on 23/06/2021, 11:15:59 UTC
Hi friends, from the title i said be prepared for the big dump of the market and why im saying that ? because first, we all know that all altcoins without any exceptions are affected by bitcoin price, and i will tell you to open trading view, go to bitcoin chart and choose the monthly chart and you will see something will freak the hell of you, a big tall candles without any red candles and all indicators are showing an overbought sign so i believe we will see a very big dump soon..

what do you think?

This decline started in April, in my opinion, and now we see a big "battle" in the support levels of $ 30,000. If this level of support does not withstand the pressure, we will see an even bigger and longer decline in the price of Bitcoin, which will entail dump at other altcoins also.

I am okunlola Johnson Adeolu by name. I am a new person here and also a new on bitcoin. I find it difficult to see buyers that's why I entered this forum. Thanks

I'm not sure what exactly you offer, because as most people have already noted, if you're selling Bitcoin, you're not new to the crypto world.

However, if you are looking for buyers, the easiest way is to register in an exchange and place your Bitcoins there, I think you will not have problems with their sale Wink Cheers

Re: Why are we all waiting for a certain price to sell Bitcoin?
by
jjdub7
on 22/06/2021, 12:33:16 UTC
Do we all want Bitcoin to be a payment system? Do we want a future based on Bitcoin and decentralization? Do we want bitcoin to succeed? Why then do all the biggest Bitcoiners wait for a certain price to sell. Someone goes to a press conference and says that he is a bitcoiner and will not sell at a lower price of 100k or 500k or 1 million. If you want a bitcoin world, a bitcoin future and a payment system, why sell bitcoin at any price? And that's what people say at bitcoin press conferences

I understand your thesis and you are partly right, but in my opinion Bitcoin is not yet ready to become a means of payment and to be used in everyday life and this will not happen soon. And because most people realize that, they accept Bitcoin as an asset that accumulates value and everyone is waiting for some level that they have set a goal ($ 50K / $ 100K / 1Million) and for which they will be willing to part with their Bitcoins.

Re: HODL...until when?
by
jjdub7
on 22/06/2021, 12:17:51 UTC
Those who advocate hodling, when do you cash out?

I mean, dying hodling is not the plan, is it? Eventually, you'd need to enjoy the fruits of your patience, right? When is that, when someone says "hodl"? Is it a savings plan? A retirement fund? What does it mean to hodl?

You are right and I agree with your opinion. It's just that the meaning of the word HODL is different for everyone, because everyone has different needs and different investment plans. Sometimes life brings us surprises (pleasant or not) and then, for example, we need money, then it is good to know that we have some amount that we can take from some Bitcoin.

Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy?
by

Like many bitcoiners im one of the people who didnt bought bitcoin at 6000$ or even 15k or 20k$ and i wonder if its possible to see bitcoin in at least 20k again
If no should i buy now or wait more to get lower price ?

According to the founder of the cryptocurrency signal provider Sublime Traders, against the background of current market volatility and side trading, the cryptocurrency may fall to the level of $ 15,000 in 2021.

These would be very good levels to get into the company of Bitcoin holders, as he believes that after this decline Bitcoin will focus on resistance levels that will act as a key catalyst in driving the asset to $ 80,000.

Re: BNB to $1k?
by
jjdub7
on 18/06/2021, 10:15:23 UTC
Binance Coin has been on the rise ever since ETH's network congestion has grown to a point where the "little guy" is left out of the system. PancakeSwap has been the major platform to lead BNB's price all the way to the moon. At the time of this writing, Binance Coin is the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap with a price well above $500 per coin. If Binance's project rose from the ground at such a fast pace, what's stopping it from reaching $1k in the future?

What are your thoughts? Do you think BNB will reach $1k soon? If not, why? Is BNB's price sustainable? What's your prediction of BNB's price 5-10 years from now? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

I personally think that $ 1K is a very achievable goal for the BNB by the end of this year. And as for the long-term forecast of 5-10 years, I think there will be even greater development but I can not predict how big could be it.

Re: Is this a bad time for altcoins?
by

Why do I see legit coins with real utility and transparent, excellent devs not doing well but shitty meme coins just flying?

Because the price of the coins is determined by the demand, and most people do not bother to make a research what is behind most projects (perhaps because there are a large number of people who do not even understand and have no idea what blockchain technology is), but simply embark on a blind investment in the hope of making quick money. And because there is a lot more noise around these meme coins, they decide that these are good coins to invest.

Re: What is the most optimistic result of Bitcoin?
by
jjdub7
on 17/06/2021, 09:20:49 UTC
I think the most optimistic outcome for Bitcoin would be to return to its roots, which is to play to the nature of bitcoin as a currency, as the opposite of global fiat currencies, coexisting with global fiat currencies and ready to replace the declining credit of fiat currencies, such as overissued US dollars.

My personal opinion is that Bitcoin cannot (or at least will not be soon) replace fiat currencies and be used as a means of payment.

I think the future of Bitcoin has to do with becoming the largest asset for accumulating value and serving as a guarantor for other financial transactions, for example. Rather Bitcoin can replace gold than any fiat currency.

Re: Elon Musk: Tesla Will Start Accepting Bitcoin For Payments Again
by
jjdub7
on 17/06/2021, 08:57:30 UTC
⭐ Merited by vapourminer (1)
Elon Musk has announced that when there is “confirmation of reasonable (~50%) clean energy usage by miners with positive future trend,” Tesla will start accepting bitcoin for payments again.

“This is inaccurate. Tesla only sold ~10% of holdings to confirm BTC could be liquidated easily without moving market. When there’s confirmation of reasonable (~50%) clean energy usage by miners with positive future trend, Tesla will resume allowing Bitcoin transactions.” he responded to a Cointelegraph tweet about recent accusations from Sygnia CEO Magda Wierzycka, who called on the SEC to investigate him for allegedly manipulating Bitcoin’s price.

Source: https://azcoinnews.com/elon-musk-tesla-will-start-accepting-bitcoin-for-payments-again.html

One of China's most influential miners respond to Musk on Twitter that Bitcoin mining was now mostly green.

Maybe it's just the mines in China, because he claims that the mining facilities located in Xinjiang, Qinghai and Inner Mongolia have been closed due to the government's ongoing repression of industry, and only the hydropower farms located in Sichuan have survived. unharmed, according to a famous miner.

However, a number of sources claim that more than half of Bitcoin's mining (the threshold set by Musk) is already renewable.

Just as people moved from gasoline powered cars to electric will investors also move from bitcoin to ecofriendly alts?

I personally do not think that investors' interest in Bitcoin will decrease for such reasons. Bitcoin is a major driving force in the crypto market and can not remain without interest from investors.

And yet, more and more Bitcoin mining farms are turning to renewable energy sources, which could soon lead to a completely "green" Bitcoin mining and that won't be a problem then.

Re: Is Ethereum going to Die?
by
jjdub7
on 16/06/2021, 11:19:29 UTC
As we can see, judging by the commissions, Ethereum does not die and the majority continue to use it. The team also develops the network by providing updates.

I am also of your opinion, Ethereum continues to evolve and this cannot lead to the "death" of this coin.

Ethereum will undergo an upgrade in 2022. The new version of ETH will not only push many people to stack their Ethereum in ETH 2.0, but will also increase the efficiency of the blockchain as the platform moves from consensus to proof of performance PoW Consensus Consensus (PoS).

I don't think the interest in Ethereum will go away any time soon, especially with various forecasts for the price of Ethereum rising to $ 15K - $ 20K and even a larger market cap than Bitcoin.

Re: Buying old coins: Is it worth it?
by
jjdub7
on 16/06/2021, 10:39:18 UTC
With all of the hype surrounding "De-Fi" and NFTs, it looks like old coins like Peercoin, Primecoin, and Quark have been left in the dust. This is sad, considering that the aforementioned coins have a proven track record of stability and reliability. New coins are usually less secure than old ones. Despite the low interest/demand for old coins, they're still actively traded on the market.

I'm wondering whenever it's worth buying and holding old coins for the long term. Primecoin is one of its kind with a PoW algorithm that contributes towards the discovery of prime numbers. It's a pity other crypto projects haven't copied its model. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I personally think there are some of the old coins that still deserve our interest. However, a very large part of them are simply left without any development. As for the Primecoin you mentioned, I don't think they have a chance to make any progress anymore. But we should not neglect some other old coins.

Anyone have the idea for the best Crypto to invest in early 2021 for gaining high profit value

With enough capital, investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum, I think, should be the first thing to do.

As for the other altcoins, the choice of coin also depends on your investment strategy and the capital you have. Some coins are suitable for long-term investments, there are some in which you can invest in a shorter time, etc.
I personally prefer long-term investments and I think some of these coins are appropriate:
- Cardano
- Polygon
- EXMO
- Futurov

Re: ✅ We are currently in a year where the trend for Bitcoin
by
jjdub7
on 15/06/2021, 12:25:19 UTC
Bitcoin is huge growth, a big price correction in that year is not without predecent (ie 2013).
BTC still primed to go to 100k by EOY 🚀

The current mood in crypto markets is not similar to that during the collapse of prices in 2017, when everyone expected a short period of consolidation before the upward momentum, which never came.

We are now waiting for the latest update of Bitcoin (Taproot), which is supposed to significantly improve the blockchain network of BTC. The update will improve the privacy of Bitcoin, speed up transaction speeds and reduce the amount of data stored and transferred to the blockchain.

This could lead to a much different and better market performance than in previous years and really lead Bitcoin to $ 100K levels.

What is Stopping?

Why government Don't kill btc?
Why They protecting the btc?
Its Becouse They own Secretly btc?

Like They did with Gold in USA They banned Gold then They Secretly bought Gold in  history

In general, I don't think they can "kill" Bitcoin or anything like that. They can only impose more and more restrictions and regulations and hope that people will lose interest in the crypto world.

And as for whether governments own part of Bitcoin, I don't think anyone can say for sure if that's the case and it will all be speculation, but I think it's entirely possible and normal.

Re: The bull market still exists
by

on 15/06/2021, 11:27:39 UTC
Very good and interesting analysis with which I completely agree. According to many analysts on the Internet, the bull market is not over yet, despite growing fears from many people.

One of the very interesting crypto analysts "PlanB" shares his vision for reaching a price of $ 288K. It outlines a model of Bitcoin's growth with unique accuracy.
The $ 288,000 price is derived from the Cross-Asset (S2FX) iteration, while previous versions give a more modest average of $ 100,000. Both are based on the current Halving cycle, a four-year period between halving block awards (the next is in 2024).
