Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today?
by

One bitcoin is good for the long term saving. If you have to use the bitcoin in some time, buy now and price will rise.

it is up to you, 1 BTC is a very big money to me, it is better to make another effort, but it all depends on where you are investing again. reliable or not

Bitcoins should me rather must be brought when the price is low.
When the price is high ,they must be spent like any other investment.

Re: How to save money.

I have never thought that insurance is a way of saving money. Shocked
You can also try:
1) make FDs
2)avoid unnecessary shopping
3)Avoid use of credit cards

One thing that works for me to not spend so much money, is simply not putting much money into your wallet. When i've got a big amount of cash money in my wallet, I use to buy stuff that, in the end, I do not really need. When I got less money in the same wallet, I do not buy these things.

Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon?
by

on 31/03/2016, 10:13:56 UTC
Anytime soon now, not at all if I'm honest, but in the future yes its possible for sure but it would just take some time to achieve this.
If  think in much much time this can be achieved I' thinking about 10 years from now on if I'm realistic.

Bitcoin will not replace dollar soon. At least not for the next 20 years. The user base of bitcoin is too small and governments will try their best to curb the usage of bitcoin.

Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down?
by

on 31/03/2016, 09:50:09 UTC
If internet goes down i think that it will be created a large LAN network and only in this network transaction will be able to made within a limited number of people, for the rest bitcoin will be considered as cold wallet(stucked bitcoin) until internet goes up.

If there is no internet I have still have my fiat so no problem. Wink

Re: Earning a living with bitcoin?

It is very difficult to earn living only with bitcoins.
Firstly, bitcoins are accepted everywhere and you can not pay all your expenses.
Secondly, no legal way is possible to earn that much only with bitcoins.

I love to earn a living with bitcoins in future, but not at a moment, as I am not a full timer on bitcoins, but if I get full time on bitcoins then I would surely earn a living with it.

Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin?

Start gambling. I lost only like 3 dollars but it was still the worst mistake, as I knew that I wouldn't make money but decided to try anyway, since it was earned from faucets.

Lol I bet and lost a few BTC at once before it shot up to $1000.  at least I was less mad when it came back down.

Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar
by

The bitcoin could win at the end of the journey but right now the dollar is just too big to do this.
It would take many years to achieve this mission.

The bitcoin or other crypto currencies might win in a few decades. But the fiat will still be there for long time.

We can’t compare bitcoin with dollar, dollar is more stable than bitcoin. Bitcoin is highly volatile, but such a value is the reason for highly preferable, but bitcoin is not much of a currency , it is being used like an investment.

Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities

It's a transfer of value. Of cours it is used for illegal activities.
Not that its negative, it may be positive, because it brings a lot more of users and activity. Then again, it creates a bad image, so I am not totally sure..

Each and every day a huge transaction is taking place through bitcoin for illegal activities.
These doesn't mean bitcoin support it, but the technology gives a way that's it.

the problem with this is bitcoin does not allow for fractional reserve banking..

that's a feature not a bug.

The greatest advantages of bitcoin, institutions like banks, need building, banking licenses, employees, etc. But with bitcoin you don’t need even a computer or phone; you just need access to those for a few minutes, so as long as you have access to a cyber café you can send payments all over the world.

Re: Is it better to save money or invest it?
by

For me both have great advantage. But the difference is tha Investing is putting your money on stake. In saving you can control your money without earning profit

Gold can be the one option to invest and there are assured returns in it but you to have patience as the prices of gold fluctuates everyday and so far real estate is concerned you need huge amount to invest in it as the land prices are climbing up and up so for an average person its not possible to invest in property or land.

You have to value the difference of WANTS and NEEDS. You can save lots of money if you know how to budget. For some reason i invest my money to bitcoins and i think this is a good idea Smiley

BTC will have something similar at some point. Probably more likely years off when a lot more BTC transactions are taking place and a summary of what you've spent money on in the last 30 days using BTC would be more useful since it would include most of someone's expenses.

Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin?

If there's a project that has a lot of potential, then I will.

Rather than quitting in my real job that pays me a decent salary, I will make my bitcoin earnings as a full time job during my day off. Extra income with a blast.

Re: Bitcoin or gold?
by
jkrules
on 31/03/2016, 07:55:31 UTC
We really don't know that bitcoin will survive that long or not as its always risky to invest in bitcoin, So I would prefer to invest in gold to have a stable profits in future.

Bitcoin has survive the early stages and the price has gone up drastically since it first started, if it can handle the early stages then there is no way that it could have been dead . The worst possible case will be that it will never improve anymore and the price wont increase however being dead is another story

gold would be the safe bet and bitcoin the risky. With gold having had thousands of years of maintained value and bitcoin being a few years old and extremely volatile.

with the risk comes reward. if you don't take any risks then you can never earn any profits.
the stability of gold price makes it harder to make any profit from it while bitcoin's volatility makes it a very good option for making big profits.

I believe that as gold gets rarer I would want to have some as part of my portfolio but I also would like to hold bitcoin as for liquidity purposes it is easier to exchange it to other assets fast, plus I believe in the new technology and what it can offer Mankind in general over the next few decades. So a bit of both would be wise to hold at this present time.

Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ?
by
jkrules
on 31/03/2016, 07:54:14 UTC
i am always buying bitcoin, whenever i find a good opportunity in the market especially when i see a dip in price i jump at the chance and buy as much i can afford to invest.

but the majority of my bitcoins are bought when the price was low at $200, that was the time to load up on BTC.

wait until bitcoin will choose a price and having established the positions will cease to be so with the volatility and the moment comes and the opportunity is large without borders purchases via ATM and use it everywhere for around not only in the computer

That is a weird statement. If you consider scamming as an illegal activity then BTC can be used for illegal uses. Other than that, there is nothing much left.

Everything that can be used is used for criminal activities. Bitcoin is not the first or the last.

Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ?
by
jkrules
on 31/03/2016, 03:22:08 UTC
Altcoins has becames a fast way to make extra bitcoins, meaning to get more bitcoins and people pump them and get out, bitcoin would be better maybe without all altcoins ,but who cant say that havent made a good income at the altcoins?

Without altcoins bitcoin would be very low in activity...Without the massive exposure that altcoins bring from big investors, would set bitcoin back a long way.
