Hi, i install the Bitbay Qt in a new computer and im getting 0 active connections. As i understood, Bitbay dont need a conf file or im wrong? Cheers
It sometimes takes a while to connect. If it doesn't after 30 minutes, you should write a conf file.

What if there is no concensus on the Slothcoin network about moving to version 1.3.1 build 3 before block 300K kicks in? It needs to be considered that this might happen. Because only one 24/7 deamon updated and there are just a few other peers that seem to have done so until now. No worries yet, but from block 295968 it becomes crucial.

This means that i can use 1.3.1 even if the network dont move to that version maybe?

Let's see, some things will change a bit, if version 1.3.1 build 3 is ready in time.
(Mainly hoping the WinX build is ready way before block 300K.)
Changes kicking in from block 300K:
- New look, to help make the mandatory change obvious. (Will do a press/promotion page at www.slick.cf/coin/sloth/promo for this.)
- Total coin lowered down to a MAX of 92.233.720.367 SLOTH (92 Billion SLOTH, in promotional terms)
- New reward system(, 10 days of crazy multi-million mining then) POW mining upto year 2020 with block reward of 4321 SLOTH.
- Difficulty changes every block, instead of every two blocks.
- SLOTH can be traded at Cryptopia.co.nz
Think that is about it.
Will try to work it out as soon as i can, at the momment there is a lot of work in the 0.0 world after hollidays

This week we got another round of nice updates!
- David is still improving upon the many new UI templates. These templates will be released one by one exclusively to the bitbay slack community to beta test.
Once all templates are tested, we will market a public beta update for the bitbay client with all the new features!
- P2P reputation system for the marketplace!
- UTF-16 keyboard conversion - or in other words, support for foreign language contracts!
- Our new website is almost ready for release, we are testing for bugs and preparing our forum
- One of our member on slack is in alpha stage with his crypto-coin exchange and has begun the process of utilizing Halos multi-sig technology for BitBay!
This will be the first of its kind! We will utilize this exchange as a beta for implementing Bitbays peg technology system so other exchanges can follow
suit once the peg is at final release to minimize any potential bugs!

To allow for both wallets to be open at the same time, please follow these steps:

2 - Find your bitbay qt executable file in your computer. Right click on it & create a shortcut icon.
3 - Right click on the shortcut icon and click on 'Properties'.
4 - In this menu click on the 'Shortcut' tab and then add "-port=8334" at the end of the script in the 'Target' field
So for example your new Target script should show something similar to "C:\Users\John Doe\Desktop\bitbay-qt.exe" -port=8334
5 - Congratulations! Now you can load up the qt wallet through this shortcut icon and also have your client running as well!
- Many people are joining us on Slack. It is the right place to stay tuned to any news and of course to meet people with the same interests!
- You can send an E-mail to info@bitbay.market for an invite!

Hi! i made a deposit in the Multipool to get some shares (it is my 2nd one) and after recieved i got this message in my multipool dashboard:
"Your DMD address: dY---------------Jb is registered on DMD multipool
Your BTC address for mining is: false"
What that means? Im only aloud to make 2 deposits per address?

Can someone help? I am having a few issues. I have like 600k coins in a bitbay QT wallet from 2014. I have the new wallet downloaded as well. The old wallet no longer syncs and I tried to send from there to new addy but it just hangs at zero confirm. New to the multi-sig and more complex rec. process so just wondering how I recoup my bitbay
Yeah if you see at the site, there is two wallets. There is the standard QT wallet that is not multisig. For that one, like 3r said back up your wallet and use it with the new QT wallet.
And then there is the markets wallet which is multisig so its not compatable with your old wallet.dat and you would have to send coins to whatever address you generate there.
It sounds like you only need to use the new QT wallet and copy your wallet over. Let me know if you need any help.

Yes those coins are safe, however it makes sense to use the newer build of the QT which will synchronize. The QT wallet will be abandoned after the
pegging so you have lots of time. Currently I'm working on making the software fully commercial. So that means you can use more than the basic custom template (all templates fully functional) and all the other user friendly features. The new build i have right now is extremely fast and stable.

yes but if u write this directly in the console like i did (i have the wallet 24 hours open so i dont need the conf file only for one line) u have to write "setchangeaddress youraddressforchange". The "changeaddress=youraddressforchange" is for the conf file

Diamond does not require any delivery of coins on new address (this is not novacoin or percoin)
Just put a coin to a single address in your wallet, and after 9 days you will start to receive income from POS mining
Im not a programmer but i know what i see (and i got my first DMDs the 30-3-2014), after minting the wallet split the group of coins in 2 address. For me was crazy because in the wallet was showing all the coins but in the explorer was showing, in my normal address, only half of the coins and the other half in a new address. And all after minting. And i know exist a command to, after minting, send the coins to the same address. Sow it here but it is impossible to find... to many posts. Anyway, thanks for the fast answer

at DMD Diamond following POS ruleset is used:

check out a single address minting and u will see that coin pile merge together by itself if they below 100 coins once they become older then 30 days without successfull minting

there its a split stake where it create 2 smaler pile

as u can see a DMD Diamond wallet need no shepard use of coin-control
as long as u keep ur DMD in one address and let it run 24/7 (or at least a few days each month) in minting mode
it will automatic split and merge the coins following the DMD POS rules-set
the reason for split and merge are network adaption of coin piles
if not mane coin pile compete for blocks they mint all below 30 days age and
every time they get split in 2 piles
after some times there so many coin piles that not all are able to mint in the 9-30 days timewindow
and then the group stake mechanism start to reduce coin piles in network by merging piles together
this is a behavior that lot POS coins dont have because devs did clone a POS coin code
but not full understand how to adapt the code ruleset to fit their own coin setup
this is one easy way to dedect if a POS coin coder in deep understand POS mechanics and how to utilize it in full power

It is better to use one address for a single wallet. then you will have no problems..
as i say before. i did not do anything was the wallet alone who split the coins in two address. Maybe someone for the DMD team can make things clear about it???
