Re: [ANN] [1080 | 1080TI] ETHlargement - The Hashrate Hardener

The pill doesn't work on my PC anymore 1080TI FE but the ones on the rig which are Gigabyte Gaming OC or whatever are still getting a decent boost. Not in the 50's anymore sadly but 47 is still good.
Use Morpheus pill

Project MorpheusETH - pill to increase hashrate using algorithms such as: Ethash/KawPow/ProgPow
Support all miners for Windows (AMD+Nvidia)
The project is being actively developed, and a new version with new features will be presented soon

GutHub: SCAM

VirusTotal: SCAM

Working algorithm:
 -Launch the miner
-Start the tablet (the tablet is launched in silent mode)
-Expect an increase in the hashrate (on average, the process takes up to one hour

If the hashrate does not increase, write your system and the miner you are launching to github.

SCAM

Hey, this is originally paid method but now provided here for free.

It's bypassing the payment processor with a bug and you can get unlimited amount of items in your cart for free.
Currently have tried it only on Manyvids.

Guide is here:
https://anonymousfiles.io/1N2gthF1/

Code used in Chrome console is here:
https://anonymousfiles.io/JMTMCHnu/

The code basically just runs:

window.open("https://pastebin.com/raw/zcUcd2tm");

The rest is a ruse. Don't send your money.

Wow, crazy - took a look at ebay's recently sold items, had no idea people would pay anything for these. Hard to call the sellers scammers though - especially the ones listed as auctions without promising any type of return, just listing what it does - if someone's willing to pay.... though I personally would make it very clear that it's basically a collector's item/lottery ticket only.

"us people" are the ones not losing our ass in scams either.

I'll take that.

there's three separate threads here involving some kind of FPGA group buy, and they are all gigantic train wrecks.

I can confirm tracking on a BCU purchased from Mineority, supposed to arrive Weds via Fedex, FWIW.

z-enemy wins 10-12% Net income of z-enemy miner

My opensource is improving and is now running at the same speed as the enemy miner did a few weeks ago.
Every algo has a limit, and the competition can't add 10-15% a week forever.

Thanks - your contributions have made it easier for even a relative novice to make further modifications to the code and come out (slightly) ahead of enemy and trex, even before their fees.

I've bought a couple mods from you - and been rejected when I asked for a discount on multiple, oh well, but I do have to say that your contributions have been very valuable, and make me more willing to pay full price in the future if it makes sense.

Bump  looking for an answer  as to where to place this thread.

Fwiw, I feel like the altcoin mining community is somewhat distinct from the rest of the altcoin section (edit - so I would keep it in the altcoin mining sectoin). From what I see, many here don't necessarily care much about the specific coin they're mining, only that it gets them the best return (lately people talk more about $, but I think a lot of altcoin miners are doing it to trade them for btc - I fall in that camp).

Doesn't belong in the Goods forum. Mods need to start nuking threads off topic.

Well, is there a better place for it?

Maybe digital goods?

Most of those are not Crypto and are scams or illegal crap.

Wow, yeah, most seem like scams - maybe a couple of domains for sale are legit - but it still seems like the right topic for it even though that topic needs work, or maybe in the thread for this alt?

Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates?

Using the blockchain drivers from Aug.23.
Registry undervolting. 905-905 gpu/hbm and 1408/1100 freq on gpu/hbm.

Reducing the memory speeds does nothing. Stak will hang again.

Now, anyone has stak-amd running well on similar hashrates or are you all using some other miner ?

How low are you bringing the memory speeds? 1100 seems high for a 56, and high to run XMR in general. I don't see much improvement over 950, and run mine at 920 getting about 1900h/s (edit - unflashed - I didnt see any benefit flashing to 64, either)

From pm discussions    4 vega 56's  can be had for about 1700-1800 usd  put in with a ryzen 1700  and a proper mobo.

Build is about 2200.   it will do 8000-8500 for cryptonight/monero  under 700 watts.  so roi is under a year.

how good is that? I am not sure.  What I don't like is  if xmr tanks  the card does not have a lot of value.

The price is coming down to the MSRP, which means that Vega cards should hold their value better going forward. I was really hoping for an ebay bucks promo this week with those Newegg Sapphire 56's at $419, but didn't happen, not for me at least. They're selling quite a bit at that price - I'm a little worried they'll raise it before another promo comes in. Either way, I see it as a good buy right now - XMR is pretty undervalued imo, and would only really tank along with a more widespread alt crash. And it's showing promise with other algos - I think this card has a lot of potential once miner developers have had more time to work with it.

Lot of people want to try it, but none is ready to pay for it.

Did you ask the same to SP ?

If your modifications are valuable enough, I may be willing to purchase them. You'd have to give me the source code - but - if they're good enough, I'd have no incentive to share it (which would just increase difficulty), and I have no obligation to share it.

Re: Mining with more than 4 Vegas and HBCC -> SOLUTION
by

Now Windows defender reports Trojan:Win32/Fuerboss.C!cl in HBCC-Activator.zip
I have to admit that Virustotal reports no threats in it... at least at the moment

That happened to me too when I went to install it on another rig. Both zip and bin check out clean in Virustotal.

Worst they can do is direct all the hashpower to themselves, which they could do anyway with a binary - no need for a trojan.

But I wouldn't run on a machine you use for anything else until this is cleared up. For a mining rig, again, can't see the harm - I'll notice if extra hash is stolen at the pool and promptly report (as would others) - so I don't see a real incentive for the dev to do anything nefarious.

So the thing is real deal?

Seems to work well - from what I can tell it automates the process of manually toggling the HBCC slider. Much faster (and MUCH easier) than doing it manually. As long as both tools are together, the HBCC-activator runs first, the screen flashes a few times, and then it calls the miner.

i'm ready to give it for free to someone ready to vouch for it working after testing it.

of course someone with a good rep on the board.

Please keep in mind that ccminer is licensed under GPL, which means that while you are free to modify and distribute as you please (even sell it), anyone you distribute your modified version to must also receive the source code, including your modifications. Otherwise, you're in violation of the terms of the license, and could be liable to the copyright holders.

I need a help.

My rig is Asus Z270-P/Celeron/16Gb/ Vega56 with 64 BIOS

I use this instruction:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/74hjqn/monero_and_vega_the_definitive_guide/?sort=new

If I install 2 GPU - 130W per card
If I install 4 GPU - 160W per card

Why?

Hmm, I noticed that each additional card would add marginally more to my draw from the wall. Not as much as you're reporting - maybe about 5W/GPU (that is 1 GPU adds 130, 2 adds 135 (265 total), 3 adds 140 (405 total), etc.). I just chalked it up to extra CPU, lowered PSU efficiency, or something. Are you saying 2 cards bumps you by 260W, but 4 cards bumps you by 640W?

370W and 720W total.

Your numbers are a bit off, then - what PSU are you using? Most are most efficient around 50% load (something like that, going from memory).

Hey,

Its working on all of my Vega rigs. I uploaded the source code of the modified xmr-stak.
The part which activates hbcc and calls the miner is not open source.

If the license of xmr-stack does not allow this, I will delete it. Please let me know.

Looks good, dev fee for your address is completly fine, but I think GNU GPL say that you have to give all source codes if you release it to the public.

That's correct - the OP is violating the rights of the copyright holder by distributing this binary without the added code.

Not all best practices are "necessary" in terms of what is minimally required; that being said, that particular way (including purge) aids in ensuring stability.

Thanks, and fair point - I just didn't have much time and needed to get things going. I also left most of my update/upgrade flags at 1 - something I have to fix later. So I guess skipping the purge part is for folks like me that had just a couple minutes to get their rigs back up.

I'll follow your advice and purge and reinstall later on when I have the time  Smiley

So for those who are now reaching the login screen and cannot login even when you type in your password. SSH into your rig and run the following commands:

Code:
sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo shutdown -r now

Now everything's working back to normal. Not sure why it did that for me. Also, I don't know if the first commmand is necessary, it's just what I typed in initially so I included it.

Thanks so much for this. I don't think the first command is necessary (edit: just to get your rigs running - see below, it may be for stability) - just the second got everything running for me. When I ran the first command, I then had to do:
Code:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-385

So to get my remote-rigs running again I just had to:

Code:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo reboot

Wow that was an interesting morning. Thanks to everyone that identified the problem and posted a solution so quickly.

Oddly enough, a couple of rigs kept running - I can't think of anything about them that was different from the others. Though they also had the update and upgrade flags set to 1.

For me, just running

sudo dpkg --configure -a

And then rebooting did the trick.
