Re: Why Is There No Bitcoin Slot Machine In Vegas?
by

Probably has to do with the slow adaptation of technology. Or it could be something to do with the gaming commission. But further down the road who knows what could happen. If more people use btc I think there will be a chance you will see btc slot machines.

How often can you lose 10 times in a row? Or 20 times in a row with odds of let us say 49.5%.

Cannot seem to be able to log into my account. I wonder if they cancelled my account or something? Contacted support and will update.

Edit:

Looks like my account got hacked or something. Somebody played on my account yesterday and changed my password.

Whoever is pracer84 is probably the hacker. The hand was a bit odd.

My account had A3 and the flop was TT 8 and all in for $95. Pracer84 called with I am not excatly sure but the final hand was Queens and tens.

Warning about this site:

The site support can see your password. That is not really good for security.

Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison

Ulbricht is soft and going to supermax .. he's going to be abused and crumple. I feel bad for him.

If he actually goes to the Supermax, then it will be good for him. He will be locked up for 23 hours in isolation
Isolation is torture for any primate, 23 hours a day of torture will not be good for him. He will slowly go mad. I can imagine few fates worse than that.

Yeah isolation drives people to insanity. I thought the government was supposed to be against cruel and unusual punishment. I guess torture is whatever the government defines it as.

Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison

EVERYBODY is better off with him in jail. Consider that Silk Road was not just drugs.  It was also arms deals that contributed to gang warfare, religious jihad, and criminal murder.  It was also extortion payments, slave sales to and by pimps including sales of underage girls for use as prostitutes, and transfers of money to jihadists and other damned murderers.

This was all going on through his website, as well as him putting out a murder-for-hire contract?  He is exactly the sort of person that the nation has the right and duty to separate from society for the sake of the welfare of all its citizens.

As far as Bitcoin is concerned, these are growing pains.  Give the Lions a bit of time to adjust to the new technology, and you're going to see crooks getting busted absolutely regardless of whether they're using bitcoin. And that's the way it needs to be.

Wow you've got a very active imagination, SR didn't sell any guns so your accustions on funding gang warfare and jihad are ridiculous, borderline insane to be honest. These so called hitmen contracts were (I believe) concoted by the Feds (the same Feds who are now under investigation for their own corruption and money laundering Wink). He hasn't been charged for that offence so we can safely assume it was all bullshit and just a devious attempt at character assassination.

He has been charged with attempted murder in Maryland. He still has to face those charges. Even if it was fake, he still will face those charges.

Re: Bitcoin's Use in Indonesia Pick up
by
jmurjeff
on 03/06/2015, 16:39:47 UTC
Really interesting.  There is a huge black market in Indonesia because the government there is very strict.  Alcohol is illegal as are other fun things.  It is a Muslim culture (except for Bali and a few other places) so I wonder if the adoption of bitcoins has something to do with this.  Hopefully it has a positive impact on their economy because they could use it.

This government might be strict but there are a lot of people breaking their laws. Drug use is quite high and drug smuggling is high in that country as well. I wonder if bitcoin becomes popular there will the government step in?

Does the money confiscated go into some anti drug charity or something? Hmm, dumb question, I see.

I believe they sold the bitcoin and it was applied to his debt. Sad part is he still owes a lot of money.

Yeah, they sold the Bitcoins, but where is the money going to?

10% usually goes to the prosecuting office funds. 20-30% goes to mental and health addictions programs I believe. The rest goes to the agencies or agency that actually seized the money. In this case the FBI gets most of it. If this was not considered a drug case they probably would get even more.

Re: buying btc with Credit Card?
by

on 03/06/2015, 01:28:26 UTC
hi guys are there sites where i can buy coins with my credit card to low fees?

There is two options as far as I know , like the person above said .. for Circle here is what you should know : https://support.circle.com/hc/en-us/articles/202561864-Warning-on-Credit-Card-Fees also there is Bit-x i guess but not sure about their fees , you may wanna ask them in their official thread

Yeah I use circle and they limit you to $100 a week. Circle lets you use a visa or mastercard that is debit. Coinbase lets you link up a credit card but it has to be a visa card. It also cannot be a debit card.

Family Guy call this out back in 2009:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BE18ac3zY4

Married with children called it even earlier. They called it in 1996.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADiq-EYObkM

They should not have Caitlyn Jenner as the face of bitcoin. I have no idea if Caitlyn Jenner even uses bitcoin.

I decided to give it a shot but the rake is quite high on this site. It is 9% which is insane for an online poker site. Almost like live rake but online.

Why is the rollover 50 hours not the 25 hours you stated and his there any possible way to keep track of it?

I don't know where you people are assuming the rollover is 50 hours because it's not, it's 25 just like I posted. The poker site keeps track of the hours. However, if you want to know the exact time you have cleared the bonus I suggest you keep track of the time you play.
Because it states on there site any free non deposit bonus you have to play 50 hours. http://www.toppropokerclub.net/cashout.html

Thank you for posting this I overlooked that. However, the email they sent me when they gave me the code stated that 25 hours were required to clear the bonus. I deleted the email already but will get them to resend that information and post it here as soon as possible.

Thanks again for bringing that to my attention.

It is possible the 50 hours was because of the promotion from last month of $50 free bonus. Maybe it is an hour of play per $1. Is the offer for free $25 still offered?

Re: Silk Road Operator Ross Ulbricht to Be Sentenced Today

in this day and age sneaking something into prison is pretty easy. even with a 3rd generation ipod touch you can jailbreak it and install various hacking tools (command prompt, file browsers and the hacker network known as tor) It is possible Ross might actually be able to hack his way out of prison and escape to freedom. A master hacker like Ross could do it in no time. Prisons are practically automated with all the locks controlled by computers, gards arent even really needed. A team of two to three hackers on the outside armed with camera drones to give ross eyes in the skys could easy project this onto a smuggled google glass that ross could use kind of a HUD from a video game to escape. Im sure ross could do it, if he wants to escape that is. Prison is actually pretty cool, free food, exercise and hanging out with your friends. Im sure he get sa lot of street cred for his hacking skills in the prison, whee most inmates couldnt even successfully install custom firmware on a psp...

You watch too many movies. There are still armed guards watching the towers and patrolling at night. They are ordered to shoot them if they try to escape. Many prisons inmates get no access to computers. I doubt people who had millions of dollars thinks prison is cool. From what I have been told by people who went to prison is that it is incredibly boring. What if you don't make friends but enemies in prison? Life can be very long and harsh.

Can someone explain why the United States got involved with FIFA? It seems like they obviously had support from other nations to arrest these individuals but I wonder why the United States was the one to bring charges.

Re: Ross Ulbricht is liable for value of fake identifications worth over $1M?
by

Just saw an article last year that the maximum wage in federal prison is $1.15 an hour.
This makes good sense.  The cost of living is pretty low there.  COLA adjusted, this works out to more than the kids at McDonalds make.

Yeah it is not like they have to pay for food, clothing, or housing. However, I saw an article that states after the money is taken for fines and other fees the average prisoner takes home $0.18 an hour. That is pretty terrible but I guess they don't really need to use it except for goodies or phone calls.

Would Ross have to pay any of that considering he will be in prison for rest of his life ?
Yes.  He has to pay it.  If he doesn't, they take all money away from his parents and sister and leave them on the street.  It is very harsh to be under the government of the US

That is not how it works. They don't make the relatives pay his debt. What they do is they took all the sales from his bitcoin and applied it to his debt. What ever amount is over that, he then has to pay through work. While in prison he may make $1.13 an hour or some crappy number. The government takes half or so to pay his debt. If he gets any money sent to him they take money to apply to his debt. It is a messed up system and ridiculous. If he does not work they may take his privileges, lock down, or solitary confinement. I believe in federal prison all able bodied prisoners are required to work. They said they abolished slavery but it is going on in our prisons.

Edit:

Just saw an article last year that the maximum wage in federal prison is $1.15 an hour.

I really hate this case. It is such bs that the FBI can do illegal means that violate the forth amendment and you get screwed. I think this case should have been dismissed on the grounds that evidence was obtained illegally. The judge should be disbarred but that won't happen. Too much corruption in the justice system.

Actually 8% tax isn't much, when most European countries have 20%+ VAT.

Yeah, actually its low as hell, I can't think a single European country that has single figure VAT without having to google/wikipedia it. On top of my head all are like 12+% maybe 14 on average.

i just checked the taxes for euro and i'm shocked, some of them reach 50%, wtf, living in japan in comparison is like living in a paradise

Yeah but in a lot of European nations they get more for their taxes. I would rather be taxed like the European nations in the United States and get similar service than what we are taxed at now. The U.S. taxes barely go to helping the U.S. people.

I don't see how this could be legit. You basically earn your money back in one week. There is a common saying that states if its too good to be true, then it probably is.
