Re: A new evolutionary miner called Stoner

Warning!

I do not know what this is, but surely not a fork of lolMiner - I did no where release any of my sources. Beside: none of the algorithms listed mentioned is supported by lolMiner, but the hashrates seem to fit to cuckoo style algorithms (that are not listed)

-> THIS COULD BE FAKE and I can not recommend downloading it unless you got a good sandbox and no wallet or something like that running in this sandbox.

No doubt about it. There's no mention of a fee so there's no reason to hide his "revolutionary" code.

Marketing by video is targetting the uniformed.

It's a closed source project with a proprietary miner, big RED flag.

A shill post from a legendary user? I hear some users are selling out to people who want
to exploit their user rank to give credibility to their "testimonials".

Some people I knew had a similar cult-like devotion to Amway.
They didn't listen to reason either.

You could also change the signature on the older account to match the new thread.

Re: How to mine TheCaribbeanCoin with GPUs, for Pros Miners and Beginners
by

It's sha256d. Even though it can be mined with almost any miner it's a
complete waste to try with GPUs or CPUs because ASICs rule sha256d.

Hello all. So I am using some 5700's and I can hit 56MH/s (can hit 60MH/s but way more incorrect shares) with them but I still get a considerable amount of incorrect shares. Has anyone found an optimal setting for a better accepted/incorrect ratio? On Claymore I only get 52Mh/s but 0 rejected/incorrect shares. Maybe it is just pushed too far and I might be better off going back to Claymore..

What do you guys think?

Some miners on some algos start submitting bad shares with too much OC. If you OC back it off a bit.

Some share are stale because they were submitted too late. These are not completely unavoidable
and are exacerbated by high network latency. This should be the same with both miners.

Since Claymore doesn't produce bad shares it's a software bug. Mutiply the displayed hashrate by
the accepted share percentage/100 to get the effective hash rate and compare that to Claymore.

This assumes the displayed hashrate is not inflated as some have claimed. It seems unlikely an
unknown developer would appear on the scene and beat all the others in performance.

I tend to ignore questions asked by people too lazy to do any of their own research.

Besides, there are a lot better places for tutorials on how to intall a CPU.

Since no ones luck is that good.

False assumption. Just because you didn't ever win the loterry it doesn't mean no one has.

There is a whole branch of math that can tell you exactly the odds of what happened.

As long as the miner submits valid shares at a normal rate (pooled mining) you're in the game, just unlucky.

I don't know if you're just another scammer or a naive investor but Pi is a scam
and your promotion of it makes you look like a scammer.

Pyramid shemes are an old con. There are even large companies that use the
technique, remember Amway?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amway

But the're bad news. They eventually collapse and most people are left holding the
bag while a few get rich.

If you're just a scammer you can go to hell as far as I care. But if you're a naive investor
who truly believes, you should learn more about pyramid shemes before you invest in them.

Re: Radeon vii / RTX 2080 Super.?
by

on 13/02/2020, 19:33:25 UTC
Thx. Better to compare the 2070 Super to the 2080. Its around the same. More hash more price. But the ratio is nearly the same.
If you go for used, you will find more 2080s and might geat a good deal. I never payed more than 550 EUR for a 2080.
If you want to go for more GPUs, the 2060 super isnt bad. 8GB Ram. I prefer less rigs and more hash.

Many thanks for all the good info.

What kind of fee are you talking about? I think it's too early to talk about it) No authority, no reviews, not what there is. It remains to set the fee to drown the project completely)) Grin

What you say means nothing, you already lied about it being open source.
