I'm glad the coin is running well. Below are some nodes:

The following node has been running since day one and will continue to run:

Code:
addnode=104.128.239.242

A few additional nodes:

Code:

Joe, please tell me what plans for the development of the project? what are you planning to do? what are the prospects? It's a pity, but at the moment the project does not look promising. Give at least some stimulus!

We're planning the code base and improvements on the PoW. I'll talk more in next few weeks.

Not sure what happened, but I came back from vacation and noticed I had stopped staking. My wallet shows a balance of 65.2 but the block explorer shows my real balance (and the balance I was staking with).
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/address.dws?943uQprgXxp7X316BrqGVvNNqhdrKiTD9r.htm

I already dumped my entire blockchain and re-downloaded it through the wallet. Any ideas why my balance is incorrect and I can't stake?

You can try these too:

Code:
checkwallet
repairwallet
rescan

Block chain download (m-block-chain-1813042): http://m-core.org/bin/block-chain/

Node:
Code:
104.128.225.215

=============
Changelog:

- Future drift time for blocks <= 30s;
- Future coinbase timestamp <= 30min;
- Exclude future blocks from being used in difficulty adjustment;
- Reduce granularity of timestamp for PoS;
- Update block version to 6 and protocol version to 71065.

The current situation was in part about time-drift attack. PoS design allows time-drifted blocks so that nodes out of time sync can still submit PoS stakes. This thus allows mining blocks ahead of time. Future blocks being accepted leads to the fact of larger block spacing, and forces the network believe there experiences hard time of staking, and then difficulty starts to drop; the consequence is making such "attack" even easier. There are a few points being included in the current release in order to address the issue: 1) reducing time drift, 2) prior block must have an earlier timestamp, 3) difficulty adjustment less sensitive to the future mining, 4) reduce timestamp granularity and hence timewarp attacks.

Let me know anything else one would like to know about further.

Are all at "block 1824527"

How is this possible.
I can do no more than follow your exact instructions.
Can you please code a definitive block explorer so we can see exactly where we are supposed to be.

Any ideas what i could have done wrong?

To all,

It was of course a frustration that the issue took this long to be fixed; no room would be given for excuse. Instead of speaking these things (feel free to PM lionheart anyways), I want to issue the following fix to the block stuck which was at #257053 (edit). If your current block No. is less than #257053 (edit), download the following wallet to get over where stuck (win and mac os, respectively). Also you can download the block chain without syncing from scratch if this is the case; provided github source code is attached below as well.

Github source code: https://github.com/ermis-project/ermis
Block chain: http://coinmagi.org/files/ermiscoin/ermiscoin-blockchain-257185.zip
Wallet for Windows: http://coinmagi.org/files/ermiscoin/ermiscoin-qt-v1.2.0.1-win.zip
Wallet of Mac os: http://coinmagi.org/files/ermiscoin/Ermiscoin-Qt-v1.2.0.1-macos.dmg

By the way, this is Joe from Magi - XMG, and would like to push ERM forward in a certain way, at minimum fixing the things. lionheart is my friend for more than 1 year, and I am quite sure he is a good person and persistent to the initial plans. As far as the wallet tech is concerned, his specialty is mostly in the business instead of dev. All of people have a real life and some life pain, and that did happen. And yet the team still has a strong wish to go ahead with this coin. lionheart does have the plan and has actually started his business in some form; what he is doing is exactly coincidence with the plan of ERM as planned, and I believed he will simply carry on his plan though real life sometime offsets the steps. In any case, I simply wish this coin proceeds, and also quite sure lionheart will take the role as done in the past.

Regarding ERM itself, I very much like pull the PoS-II into ERM, with some features specifically designed for ERM. Specs would be announced later on.

p.s., the block chain has moved few blocks after where stuck 257052; feel free to check the block chain, all clean and no hidden facts; let the team know per your suspicion.

What is PoM?

PoM - Proof of Mining; in simple,  the magi team rewards commensurate coins to every participant in this campaign, in accordance with your CPU hashrate invested into mining XMG.

PoM is also a built-in feature of XMG, thanks to the block reward design (see this link for more information). A detail explanation is shown below:

What is POM ?

Good question; no one was questioning this before, though we're talking "CPU mining | PoS-II | PoM | Unique BLK reward | [MagiPay]". PoM has more meaning (since we're advising 1st PoM) than a single campaign as done before (which was an approach to protect coin distribution): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=802681.0; some details here: http://arxiv.org/pdf/1409.7948v1.pdf

PoM - proof of mining; by it's definition, the more mining efforts being placed, the more rewards one gets. This is typically right in mining any coins, while it's particularly emphasized in Magi (on individuals' participation), because of the design of PoW block reward. A simple description of the block reward is that it decreases with increasing network hashrate, and may hit zero when network hash is significantly high. A consequence of this is big miners get frustrated. If one is familiar with the block reward (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9991269#msg9991269), you will see block reward could be easily hitting zero. A point here, which was also being argued among people, is who will exit if mining nothing? This is where PoM campaign will be functioning. The campaign will encourage people to keep mining by rewarding despite the amount of block reward. To understand the purpose of the PoM campaign , we can see what happens if we're on the opposite situation - what if generic miners quit first?: 1) big miners keep mining, 2) because of miners quitting, network hash getting low, block reward increasing, and big miners get rewarded more! So now you see PoM campaign is trying to protect the network and to ensure FAIR coin distribution.

To the individuals, PoM means one will receive better rewarding by long term mining. Provided that we, the generic miners, form a solid league, won't give up mining in any situation. One will receive less mining share if big miners are present since they have more hash weight over the rest of miners. It should be noted, however, that coin distribution is pretty much protected by the significantly reduced block reward, as much less coins will be mined in this case. At the time of big miners' leaving, network hash decreasing, not only one gets higher mining share, but also the block reward is high. Then you know why Magi can achieve the FAIRness in coin distribution.

Why PoM?

The XMG's block reward design has to bring the network hashrate into an equilibrium which would never go a very high or low number. Though the equilibrium state is strongly affected by the coin price, it is anticipated that the total hashrate could stay an appropriate level. This is a good feature to avoid huge waste of electricity consumed in the Bitcoin or other Altcoin's network. However, the weakness lies in the fact that one can gain reasonably high hashrate to dominate over the rest of the network. Although this is undesirable feature, we have taken a strategy, i.e., the PoM campaign, to avoid big-hash miners.

In general, people mine for profits, that means miners leave when they are unsatisfied with mining rewards.

The PoM campaign encourages the persistence of generic miners by giving away a certain amount of coins to each participant. So one will receive mining reward plus PoM campaign reward. Even mining gets zero reward, one will receive the benefit from this campaign.

To the XMG network, we will have a fixed number of people mining around to compete the big-hash miners. In normal situation, people would quit after mining something without a reasonable ROI. This is primarily the reason of this campaign, and it is anticipated that the generic miners will maximize their shares.

What does "2nd PoM" mean?
The initial PoM (1st) is launched here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=802681.0.

Duration
About two months.

Participation & Rules
# Each participant has to register along with the bitcointalk username (registration: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1gRtkfhMhWx2jAD-p74FakfyjchYNQZuD2A7i0OCitQw/viewform?usp=send_form)
# Each participant will need to mine in our official pool: https://pom.m-hash.com
# Hard rule: your bitcointalk user must be registered before April 17, 2014 10:00 PM (EST) and be active; and you must be a Member.
   = If you aren't yet the Member, mange it to this level during the campaign.
   = If you are new to this world and just registered (so after April 17), please send us message.
   = If you don't like to use bitcointalk and have no plan to register a name, please email us: pom.m.hash@gmail.com.
# You muse mine with your CPU and total hashrate not exceeding 250 kh/s.

Pool rule
https://pom.m-hash.com is our official pool (created and managed by Historical) designed for PoM; mining hashrate higher than 250 kh/s is not allowed. Warning will be giving to people who put miners exceeding 250 kh/s, followed by account locking and worker removal if hashrate is not depressing upon warning.

Reward
We have a certain amount of pre-set funds available at this time, and intend to get more funds. The funds will be distributed into all of the participants. The following will affect the amount of coins one will receive.
# The number of participants;
# The reward will be proportional to 1) hashrate (up to 250 kh/s) 2) mining duration

(we will make sure the method of how-to-calculate soon)

PoM Funds
Funds raised up by donations (to be listed); total funds: 23,088.0 XMG

Energycoin community, this is Joe from magi and I am here to help the block chain. Basically the new chain grows up from a backup chain provided by Jan  (hosted in my server: http://coinmagi.org/files/energycoin/Save_blockchain_EnergyCoin_block1051199_Crypto4Jan.zip), block # 1051119. This means all your prior staking reward after block # 1051119 (old chain) is invalid. Unless dev team wants to use another chain, you're unlikely to get those coins back. All transactions before block # 105111 are valid.

To grow the new chain properly, please download the conf file from here:

http://coinmagi.org/files/energycoin/EnergyCoin.conf

The following nodes are those I have, please make sure any other nodes which contain the old chain are removed.

I suggest community uses the following nodes and any others the dev team announced.

Code:
162.245.217.165
104.131.162.205
104.131.5.234

Let me know any questions / suggestions or a guide for setting up new chain you might need.

p.s., make sure you have backed up your wallet.dat.

Forgive my ignorance, but is there a minimum number of posts before one can vote in a poll?
There isn't any option to put a limit for members to vote when I create the poll post, but I guess the forum has the default limitation, likely - Sr. member.

Thanks for this; actually I found the Unicode but thought that is not a good option; here it is:

Ӿ

added as #20. It looks different, let me know if you want to put your image there; I'd recommend the Unicode for easy use.

It's a bit weird in Unicode but it's will be good. It would be cool if the bar was a bit more longueur but if it impossible it isn't important.

It's not shown up properly in my working computer I am watching right now, but it was okay yesterday when I was using my home computer to post.

My entry number 18 ( "The Sum of Equality" ) does not look quite right there. It appears raised. My HTML code does not do that and the character appears in line with the numbers.

I included the original image now. I cut the symbol from the original image so it looks some different. To keep the image symbol in the same line as the numbers, I have to reduce the size further (using such small size is to test how it looks like when we embed the symbol into the normal text), but that make the symbol unclear. I added such display too now. Another thing this the white background which make the line looks strange. One concern is I am not sure how we can easily use the image symbol in the regular forum posts since we're not able to use html code here too.

there is a lot more going on than you know But what you have said about Rofo, is completely wrong, he will never leave noble, that is a fact, I know this, I have spoken to him myself at great length but it is far from my place to interject other than to say, those of you that know what rofo did and how he handled everything in the early days he has not changed, he will continue to run the website and the marketplace and when all is said and done with this change over you will see that ... but time has to be given in this case. I cannot say anymore, but I have a lot riding on this too, I have invested from my pension almost every week since day 1 of Noble either in hash or as I have on many occasion fiat injection... if you know Rofo go talk to him, he is as approachable as he was from day 1 ... jaded a little maybe, but has always got time for the committed holders of noble ... mark my words, I will publicly give away my noble if Rofo walks ...  quote me and mark my words on this day !!

I agree that "Rofo" "will never leave noble" (based on what I read). What you guys need to do is to come up with something to relieve his pressure as a dev, he'll be happy to take a role in the coin. I can understand what he is talking about when he invested a year into the coin and tried to establish business around it, however he mostly forgot this is crypto, most of people approaching crypto is for profits and most of them just come and go. As a dev, I can understand the feeling, luckily I won't quit my real job.

So from what I am understanding, Rofo has stated that he will still support Noble with everything on the Website side? He's taking the role of a promoter and service provider for Nobl. And he's passing on the technical leadership to the community / Eagleflies.

That's more or less how it's been all along. Rofo has never been a dedicated 'dev'. Rofo's been the guy with a vision on the marketing and services side of things. His strengths are in marketing and community outreach. We still get our services, features, and support. Everyone should be happy with this.

...

I agree. After reading few pages back, I can understand Rofo's intention. Now I start to think about an idea: NOBL needs a team rising from community, a NOBL foundation something like that, that should be exactly what a crypto coin ends up with. There will be no so-called dev/leader etc, coin operates based on the foundation. I am sure Rofo will be glad to take a role in that based on what I read. Each member will be part of the foundation; one is the developer but no special than the one who is responsible for the marketing.

Edit, if one is unsatisfied with the coin specs, he should be able to raise up the issue and propose possible solutions, foundation / community votes for that. Once decision is made, things should move forward affirmatively rather than looking back.

Anyway, just my thought.
