Is Fleta the new Big Thing?
by
johnbc
on 07/11/2019, 17:48:30 UTC

In its "Mainnet Performance Test Report " Fleta reports that it reached a speed peak of 14,000 TPS in real conditions which would allow to create really infinite DAPSS.

Many projects talk about scalability, thousands of transactions per second, of course, in controlled laboratory conditions.

According to the FLETA report (https://fleta.io/download/191021_Mainnet_Performance_Test_Report.pdf ), the test was conducted in real conditions, with 6 servers located in different regions of the planet: US, New Jersey; US, Miami; US, Dallas; DE, Frankfurt; FR, Paris; UK, London.

The test showed, according to FLETA, that its platform provides a consistent speed of 12,000 TPS, which separates FLETA from the others.

With an average of 450 ms to process and validate a block, FLETA would be able to generate two blocks per second, even with high latency.

These achievements allow FLETA to place itself one step ahead in the Trilemma domain (decentralization, network security, speed. Privacy is the fourth).

COMPETITORS

Besides FLETA other projects like Matic and Harmony are at the top of the food chain in the battle of TPS.

Telegram's TON, according to the developers showed a very high speed, but even the data has not been published.

As for TRON and EOS, which dominate the DAPPS market along with Ethereum, it is expected that they will be updated to improve their current results.

At the moment FLETA, as far as TPS is concerned, seems to be the solitary leader.

Stellar is one of my favorite projects not only because of the performance of the lumen (XLM) but also because of its technology.

I personally consider it superior to Ripple (Stellar's Jed McCaleb was involved in the creation of Ripple) not only because of its openness: "Our mission is to connect people with low-cost financial services to combat poverty and maximize individual potential" but also because of the advances they have been making.

Re: Thoughts On Blocknet? How high can it likely go?

https://crypto-bridge.org/2019/01/22/blocknet-the-internet-of-blockchains/

I love to speculate, since a small amount of money can yield tons of ROI long term. A project I've been looking at for a long time now is Blocknet.

Blocknet - The Internet Of Blockchains

Blocknet is one of those projects, that didn't take off (yet) due to a very technical product, most people have a hard time understanding. They was the first project to develop a truly functional DEX solution, a DEX which is being improved with newbie friendly UI fixes. Blocknet aims to be a decentralized trading platform, where anyone can trade their coins, without risking their funds on a centralized exhange (Exchange hacks, exit scams, phishing attacks, frozen assets, and more).

Their masternode network is a little different than what you typically see in a masternode project, they consist of: Xbridge, Xrouter, and

XBridge is a decentralized exchange protocol with the ability to perform non-custodial, trustless, and decentralized exchange between any digital assets that is supported by the Blocknet Protocol. XBridge allows any application to perform decentralized exchange, opening the door to an ecosystem of decentralized trading services. Service Nodes are used to verify that the UTXOs in the trades are valid and relay the order book. For these services, Service Nodes receive 100% of trade fees.

XRouter is a decentralized interoperability protocol with an SPV client backend supported by Service Nodes that allows users to validate transactions and ensure transactions are in a block. These calls are supported by default if XRouter is enabled with no additional settings. For example, if you have a fully synced Bitcoin node with txindex on, you can use XRouter to sell transaction information on Bitcoin's blockchain. So if a user doesn't want to download the full chain, but needs to know information about a transaction, they could query your XRouter node and you can charge them a fee to do so.

You have the option to offer these services for free or to charge a fee for each call. Fees can be set to be specific for each individual call.

XCloud is a decentralized microservice cloud network that allows you to monetize any microservice, blockchain, API, or cloud tech on your own hardware, in many cases without having to write any code. Some examples of these services are blockchain-based calls such as one that returns a list of Syscoin marketplace listings, third party data calls such as one that provides access to CMC's API, or a custom call for a service you create yourself. You have the option to offer these services for free or to charge a fee for each call. Fees can be specified individually for each call.

Blocknet recently dipped below $1 (with a top at $50+ in the bull market) so a service node is actually getting affordable at these prices, since you need 5000 BLOCK to run a service node.

I could easily see BLOCK above $100/coin one day, due to it's extremely scarse coin supply (6 mio. circulating supply). That' more than a 100X which is pretty decent.

Tron is an excellent project, with several advantages over ethereum and other projects and is undoubtedly an excellent platform for creating Dapps.

Justin, however, has been accused of aggressive marketing to the point of generating problems with the authorities.

Leaving aside Justin's announcements (such as the recent one about a $100 billion corporation), it must be recognized that Tron is doing very well in some fields (Gambling). Tether with its stablecoin now has a 10% based on Tron's TRC-20.

Tron has done close to a 60% price increase since its 2019 low. If it goes back to its 2019 high, That would be between 150-200% roi. And things started to look good. I have a feeling that a strong uptrend is starting soon. That's why Tron is one of the few blockchains that I plan to build dapps on in the future. I'm bullish af on TRX from now till EOY.

100 dollars is a safe AND SUFFICIENT amount to begin with.
That amount will help you gain technical experience on the platforms and help you learn how to manage the risks of trading.

Investing and trading are very risky activities. A great chance to make money but also a great chance to lose money. Therefore, here you need to have steel nerves.
Of course you need steel nerves and a cold head. Then you can earn in trading.
How much do you need to have a starting deposit to earn in trading? 100 bucks or is it generally a trifle to start a trade?

High costs, zero concerns about members' privacy, difficulty withdrawing funds, and so on.

All this makes it obvious that innovation is necessary in exchanges and I'm not just talking about DEX, I'm talking about any user-oriented option.

BitMex is not the only one. Almost all exchanges care zero about privacy and all that. So nothing to be surprised.

Renewable energy projects are very important because proof of work (PoW) mining like Bitcoin requires a lot of energy.

I hope that in the next few weeks you will provide more information to be able to participate in the project.

Innovation and development is welcome.
I've seen the page and it doesn't have much information, I guess we all want a little more details.

Hi, there I just want to be sure. Is your website not perfect yet? Because when I visited it, I only saw a brief explanation of this project.
There is no menu and there isn't anything I can explore on your website. I hope you can complete it soon. I look forward to it.

Go to this site: https://www.bithumb.io/ you must only have metamask on your computer for the desktop version.

There is a no-charge exchange, even pays you in every trade: bgogo Actually, these kinds of exchanges are too much. But, if you are looking for DEX, investigate bithumbDEX that does not charge transaction fee. You can also try 0x, which offers a zero-fee trade. There is an option for everything, but we are "against" DEXs.

I try to search about bithumbdDex but unfortunately, they just have a mobile app i hope they can provide the desktop version so many people will use the dex.

At this point it is worth asking: Are trading fees too high?

i think the trading fees on coinbase is pretty high because they had 0.5% with total trading volume 24hr 200mln, so every day they can earn 1mln from the trading fees itself.

Of course they offer very good services.
The same can be said of Binance, which continually conducts studies on the industry, which helps its evolution.

They must earn, be profitable. That's the idea of doing business.

coinbase is a big exchange and wallet service and there are lots of things they are doing..they are a buisness instituion so definitely they are a profitable company..they have source of income Smiley

Are trading fees too high? Coinbase Generated Nearly $2 Billion in Trading Fees
by

⭐ Merited by tk808 (1)
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recently said Coinbase has generated close to $2 billion in trading fees.

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/10/brian-armstrong-confirms-coinbase-is-profitable

At this point it is worth asking: Are trading fees too high?

In the market for traditional products, intermediaries get a big slice of the business. According to this CEO's statements and the results of the crypto industry it seems that the same case is being repeated here.

Unlike traditional markets crypto have a solution already available. Decentralized exchanges.

These allow transactions with very low or even zero fees.

If the DEXs are a solution to the high fees maybe it will be demonstrated in the next years.

Re: Telegram (TON) project has been halted by SEC
by
johnbc
on 30/10/2019, 19:18:19 UTC
Telegram raised 1.7 billion for TON. That's a huge amount.

The investors voted against the return of their fund, which is a sign that they, the investors, are confident that the project will reach an agreement with the SEC.

https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2019-212

Should we assume the project is dead?

I was about to reserve $500 worth of GRAM tokens on Crypterium or some exchange, but at this point i think it's not advisable.
What do you suggest ?
