The story of PAL why it accepts Bitcoin.

The story behind why PAL is accepting bitcoin. "The Philippines is famously trying to attract more tourists through the “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign, which is sponsored by the Department of Tourism. Sam Kaddoura, the co-founder and CEO of Bitcoin exchange BuyBitcoin.ph, thinks the country would be well-served by bringing Bitcoin enthusiasts into the country.
To do so, the Philippines would ideally have entire communities or business districts where Bitcoin is readily accepted, but Kaddoura thinks we first need to address inbound international travel. “If we really want bring in Bitcoin-spending tourists, why not equip one (or two) of the major domestic airlines to accept Bitcoin?” he suggests."

I don't think Bitcoin is ready to be use globally. It still needs a lot of development and still needs to solve a lot of problem before it could be use without some major hassle like fees and transaction speed. It still need some time. Maybe in the near future, some developers would find a way.

Yeah, for now, there are a lot of major hassle in the blockchain. specifically, the network speed which is the major components of every transaction over the network.

Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits?
by
johnlhy253

We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

Every business needs to adapt to changes and challenges like this. Im pretty sure banks are already finding ways to join the bandwagon.they will surely profit from it. It would just be a matter of time until they accept bitcoin deposit and withdrawals.

Yeah, every business needs to adapt the changes for them to stay in business sector. Like here in our country, Philippines, there are a lot of business accepts bitcoin as payment.

Microsoft accepts Bitcoin. You can "redeem" Bitcoin on your Microsoft account and make purchases through the online Microsoft store. They are the Biggest retailer that I know of that accepts Bitcoin. Other large retailers are Newegg and Overstock. In Japan, Bic Camera is a large retailer and you can use Bitcoin to purchase items in all of their stores. That was pretty cool. These are huge legitimate businesses.

Yeah! there are a lot of large companies accept bitcoin. Bitcoin can also change to fiat, this is one of the benefits of btc.

I think offline wallet are safer than any online wallet. Now a day, hackers or scams are roaming a lot to break your security. So i believe offline wallets are unbreakable.

Is there a posibility that a btc wallet can hack?

I think one day cryptocurrencies maybe will not replace fiat money, but they will be accepted in a lot of stores and places all over the world. So when the resellers and people more like to accept cryptocurrencies then fiat money, i think we got it. Because fiat money will not dissapear in the next twenty years.

Yeah this is true, fiat will not replace money. Bitcoin sooner will be legalized over the world and it will be accepted in any kind of store. in the future.

Re: Why do thousands of investors hold bitcoin on troubled days?
by
johnlhy253
on 23/05/2018, 12:54:59 UTC
I think they were holding bitcoin on troubled day because they believe on the stability of digital currency in case of emergency. Since it is the first digital currency that we had most investors will be encourage on the safety that it brings than having an actual cash investments. In here your investment is safe once you know that you own account if fully secured. Currently it has a harder way to be hacked by other people unlik all those traditonal currencies where can be gone from us despite our refusal.

Thank you for the information. Newbie from PH.
