It just hit me, that btc-e still have TRC under the "finances" sector. Maybe it would not be that hard for them to take it back into use . But, I doubt that now that ETH and DSH filled the last open slots.

Yeah, I have been aware of the problems. They finally answered my ticket and told me that the DVC will be accounted to my new address after a few days, but now those "few" days have gone already (but I'll update if they actually perform this operation at some point). But now another problem with that exchanged arose when they do not have enough FRC for my withdrawals (as FRC market was suspended) and I guess I won't see my FRC ever. Anyway, besides these two incidents, I have traded quite a lot of DVC there, but now I'm much more cautious

Two things here:

1) The vircurex staff is quite slow when it comes to performing actions. For example, the whole wallet service was down for a month until it was noticed (maybe staff was on holiday). However, they DO work on things, it's just that it feels like they are not responding to mails. Have you got any response from them lately?

2) How would it in practice work to switch to a newer wallet? Assuming vircurex would not update their wallet, is the only option to withdraw to an OWN wallet of the older version (probably downloadable somewhere) and then update that one? What about Cryptopia now, if they add TRC, I presume it'll be the old wallet(?) - if that's the case, then withdrawing from vircurex straight to Cryptipia while they are still on the old wallet would be the easiest solution, right? And lastly, why would any coins be lost in the process as you could at any point use the old own wallet to withdraw to and update it if needed? I'm a bit confused about these things

An important question. If the wallet is updated for TRC and vircurex does not update it, will we still be able to withdraw our coins to the updated wallet?

I know this coin has been a long time on vircurex and it seems to gain some momentum. Just had to buy in a little and see how things develop So, I wish you good luck and if you manage to get the coin to some Chinese market, it'll multifold in value.

And as I have earlier mentioned, also bter has CNY-DVC trading couple. I will just wait for the big DVC-pump when we reach at least 30SAT

Donno about you, but I have never had troubles with DVC and Vircurex and at one point I indeed stored around 25M DVC at vircurex. The backend service was down for a month a few months ago, but besides that everything has worked well. I know the issues in the past, so I do not store more than max 1BTC.
