I don't even look at the price anymore. Just looked today after a few days... Eth is now being negotiated at 480. LOL
Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. I will hold for a few years. I am not going to sell now, even if it were 10x more than it is now, so why would I care for the price now?
I really believe in the technology, I really like it, I am even studying it. I am not worried.
Not checking portfolio right now is a wise move since it can affect our decision but atleast consider the gains you will earn once a bull run start, who knows if you hold it for a long time you might miss a lot of gains.Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?

simply not! time deposit will give you small money compared to investing in cryptocurrency (well only applies if you are lucky enough to earn a lot from it but more or less investing on it will have bigger gains compared to earnings from a time deposit). the importance of having an emergency fund is not to earn but rather to have a cash you can immediately use for some events you don't foresee.
It was predicted long time ago and a lot of alts from few years back has proven it since there is no volume and the project are already abandon, top alts will exist as the cryptomarket will be present but for those coins who simply doesn't have the potential from the start will always worth zero sooner or later.
If you read news like this https://www.ccn.com/mysterious-asian-whale-begins-funneling-funds-back-to-huobi/ that there is someone who has mysteriously bought a large amount of bitcoin. Then sell. All I can read is that Bitcoin has a fan of "Giant" who likes to invest and sell Bitcoin. This means Bitcoin will continue to run. What to worry about? What I do not want is if there is no Bitcoin buying and selling activity. Because that means Bitcoin no longer has any interest. That's what I should be afraid of.
This is just My Opinion Personally. Please fix it if it's wrong.
whales will always be whales, they exist to do those thing and actually if this true it happens even before. no need to get fear about them as long as the market still exist there are a lot of individuals that could outperform whales in the market once it start to get healthy again, right now we are just simply on a slump.This is just My Opinion Personally. Since there is a growing concern over energy issues i think these energy based crypto projects will soon become a huge industry, some countries have poor energy resources and if these project can pull through and conduct their business everywhere soon their coins will surely go to moon regardless of market conditions.

While trading we have to follow few rules and without following those rules there is no way to be a successful one except a successful by chance. There are lots of rules of them greedy plays a vital role. While trading never be greedy. If you become greedy while trading then you can be assured that there is 90% possibility to be a lessor.
On a bearish market i think this thinking applies but if a current bull run is happening on the crypto market it's not bad to think of greater profit although it is our responsibility to study and analyze when to exit the market or else you will lose a big amount of potential gains.Crypto market is without a doubt is on a slump right now with currently low volume across the exchanges, we don't know what will happen with bitcoin's future price but there is no guarantee that this slump will continue until the end of this year.
Actually, it is not very few number of noobs in cryptocurrency business that comprehend the level at which patience is required and important in the business. well, i don't disapprove your idea of patience is a virtue on hodling cryptocurrency in fact i agree on this, many people earn good fortune couple years back by just buying and holding it for a long time, but comparing it with business which greatly affects by the owner or management intervention with regards to success, i guess not
It is for these reasons that the crypto currency community is growing. But a lot of people do not understand this all and this does not allow the crypto-currency market to develop even faster. Therefore, we need to convince people of the usefulness of the crypto currency.
No need for that i suppose, people will always get attracted where the money are coming from and if bitcoin reaches another all time all those negative thoughts they known will immediately vanish, what we need is the adoption of the government especially from first world countries.This is pretty much basic among long time traders of this market, we know that there's a risk of hacking incident on every exchange even if it is the top exchange around the internet.

1-2% of the money raised is not so much and bounty participants deserve that. Also, it can cause more investors to attract. Because they are no longer worry about the price fall after bounties are paid.
this is good for bounty hunters but not for ICOs since not every ICO tends to get a good result, some of them don't even reach a 100k usd amount of ETH but they still pursue the project. part eth and part tokens they will release will be the best reward for bounty hunters 1-2% of the money raised is not so much and bounty participants deserve that. Cryptocurrency has already a strong strong correction by coming down from 20k USD to nearly 7-8k USD. I know bitcoin is currently near $6,700 but this is just a short phase and market will regain its value easily in the coming days. Bitcoin tends to remain stable near 7-8k USD after every crash, hence people can invest if Bitcoin falls below this point as they easily attain 10-12% profit when Bitcoin falls below the correction value mark.

I believe this is a normal cycle for a bearish market, actually right now is an easy profit, buying right now and wait for a few weeks the market will become greenish again. This is happening in the past few months, i wonder why people are still not resistant to it
I believe investing a huge part of funds must be done through real estate since the prices of crypto market hasn't been moving significantly compared last year and with that a huge cost must be put first in order to gain higher profit, Real estate investment is a sure profit investment in the future since we know that land doesn't depreciates. If currently a bull market is on the run i guess investing on btc is the best choice.
We as an individual we can't just simply influence the opinion of the government against bitcoin and other alts since they will always made their own study and analysis of it and we know that government always want a favor on their side since they know that people are earning a good amount of profit from it.

I think scammers in bounties should be given a negative trust or should be bound from joining bounties. This process will help reduce the rate of scam because most managers do not accept participant with negative trust in their campaign.
this is already done by DT members and moderators of this forum but since there is a huge number of users and multiple accounts you can't pin point every single one of them, but I highly appreciate the works of moderators although it seems that it's not easy to detect each scammers of bounty programs.1-100 coin rank in coinmarkepcap remain to fall, are this a bad news , good news or is still normally? when we turn back time to 2017 the price its looks so normal because these things is happen to in 2017 before a great pump
well it could be similar on what happened last year but i think the case right now could be different, i mean there's a lot of issue exposed against cryptocurrency and the number of people having no knowledge on bitcoin decreases and most of them has a negative impression on it, since trading is a part of my income i hope 2018 will be the same last year It can be but this will only happen if every nation will be in good terms or if there will be only one government across the globe, as of now, existing financial system can't make a global currency because traditional businesses especially those small ones are still dependent of fiat.
