Hey papampi! I’m trying to help a friend out who’s getting a line 44 3main error 2693 terminated

Instead of trying to fix this, what commands can I use to just download and wipe all of the nvOC config files?

Hey guys trying to help a friend but he hasn’t given me much info and then had to take off to take care of some work stuff, I’ll report back when I get more info but does anyone know what’s causing the issue? He’s saying something is wrong with the 3main or receives an error when the 1bash executes and is starting the mining service. He said the machine was running fine before going to bed and has been for a month or so and he woke up to the issue. I told him to reflash instead of trying to troubleshoot the error. He did and is still receiving the error

Having an issue, not sure how to troubleshoot it. I've formatted a new rig with 1.4 and updated it with 2.0, its loaded with EVGA Hybrid SC2 cards and I keep getting this error every few hours

Code:

Papampi, can you help me out. I'm not sure where to start really but one of my rigs keeps getting a GPU Utilization is too low: restarting 3main error ever so often and it constantly says "connection closed by server r:0". I've tried different pools and different coins but seem to have the same issue. I've also reformatted with a fresh copy of nvOC 19-2.0 but still have issues. Thanks man!

I think its a dstm problem happens to some of my rigs from time to time too, think I saw some talks about it in its thread, try ewbf or bminer, see if they fix it or not.
In the mean time you can post your problem in dstm thread, see how they can help.

Thanks man, I was having the same issues with EWBF as well. I will look into bminer in the 2.1 prerelease. Thank you

Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.3.0)
by

I'm getting annoyed by these guys charging a ridiculous 2% of all our profits. I coded an rpc proxy for equihash which i'm using in our farm. I will add functionality to report hashrate for each client connected to the proxy and will then open source it. The proxy impersonates a single miner and hides the actual miners from the pool. It relays the job sent by the pool to all proxy clients. At least you can be sure they all mine the same share, start at the same time for each share and have the count done locally. Sadly, because these guys closed sourced their miners, you can't control the seed they start with for each share, so luck will STILL be different between dstm and bminer ... i.e. you will still need to wait a long time for reliable results, but at least I can compute total average hashrates, rather than only 12h or 24h.

If bminer is cheating, I want to expose it. Will look into this next week when hopefully I'll have more time. I stopped using bminer after doing my dstm vs bminer test.

Go build your own cuda miner

My search nvOC dont get results, sorry.
What i can get this command (~/nvOC report)

My nvos write - xorg problem detected, and reboot again and again

Don't quote me on this but I think xorg problem refers to you booting using your onboard video rather than the graphics card.. you should use PEG not IGD.

Is there a ccminer in nvOC that supports the PHI1612 algorithm? I think I can figure out how to add the coin if I can get the Linux miner installed on my clients, been trying to view through the directories and haven't found any of the ccminer's readme files that say they support it. Thanks

Are smOS users having issues with the new ubuntu release and having more than 1 computer wired to a rig with that update? I have a friend that uses smOS and is having this issue (I only know about it after updating ubuntu on all of my rigs and had to downgrade it to the previous version). If this is the same issue, is there a way to fix or downgrade his ubuntu? If he has 2 or more rigs wired to his router it will take the internet offline for all of his computers. The moment he only has 1 plugged in they will all immediately go back online. Thank you for the help

nobody has had this issue?

Re: What happens when powered risers becomes unpowered?
by
joshuajones02
on 06/01/2018, 23:36:33 UTC
I'm running a rig consisting of 2 PSU which each power 6 GPUs (+ mobo/cpu/hdd on one).
Each GPU power lines and powered riser are linked to the same GPU, so if a PSU fails, the entire GPU will shut down (riser + power lines).

What would happen if my secondary PSU (the one with only GPUs linked) fails? I.e. 6 GPUs are only connected to the mobo using the USB3 cable to the riser, but riser power and GPU power is cut.
Will or could it harm my GPUs or mobo? How "independent" is a powered riser, power-wise? Will the GPU attempt to draw power from the mobo?

it won't harm your mobo or GPU, unless the power loss causes some sort of huge spike. I use 2 PSU's on all of my rigs and have never had an issue

Anyone invest in exchanges like KuCoin shares? Seems pretty interesting, do you think options like this will be a hit in the future or is it just a trend? Seem to get a payout back from fees as well.

should i buy 4x 1080ti ? can I mine eth tokens ?

You should buy whatever you can afford to lose and get a good deal on. Each card has its pro's and con's. You can mine ethereum but you may want to look at AMD cards as they are cheaper and can be more efficient at mining ethereum.

This is just a suggestion but would it be plausible to add in a feature to the Telegram script to differentiate the "initial" or "very first" message that it displays after boot from the regular periodic messages?

I have been having some issues with my miners and having all of the telegram popups on my phone, having a difference in the first line it types to see what is a periodic message and what is a "first boot" as in it would have restarted and may have problems would help me out a lot. Just a suggestion, if it doesn't seem helpful to others then ignore.

I am referring to making the difference in the first lines that popup so they would still show in the preview message on the lock screen of a phone

Looking for TeamViewer expert

Hello, I've been searching the TeamViewer customer support forums and seems like a lot of people are having similar issue but with no fix.

All of my TeamViewer clients work great except for 1. (all of the ubuntu OS's are identical and are just images). The 1 that I am having issues with is the only 1 on wifi.

The problem with this client is that it works 50% of the time. Sometimes I will login and it will work fine and other times I try to login and I get this error message
Code:
error code: waitforconnectfailed

I'm having issues with the 19-2 test release and network stability. Not sure quite sure what is going on and it has happened twice so far.

My home router will lose internet connectivity after a period of time (12 hours first time, ~5 hours second time) since updating to the tested release. When I remove the wired connections (clients running 19-2) from my router that goes to the rigs the internet will immediately go back online. Not sure where to check for logs regarding this as the entire router (wifi and wired) loses internet connection.

Version:
Code:
nvOC_1bash_ver="v0019-2.0.001"   # Do not edit this

Is there a way to downgrade the client without imaging the hard drive/usb?

Your issue can not be update problem as only some scripts changed, but all your old files are stored in /home/m1/backups/old_to19_2

This went on for 6 disconnects total, stumped I sent logs from my router to the manufacturer and fresh installed 19-1.4 on all of the machines that were updated and router has yet disconnected from internet.

It's weird because it wasn't my modem, I'd try the connection from the modem directly and it worked fine but while the rigs with 19-2 on it, the internet would not work at all. Instead it would not work until all of the 19-2 rigs were either disconnected physically from the router or once all of them have been rebooted.

I'm not worried about it, just letting you know or the community (Manufacturer's response was a copy/paste of crap newbie instructions of updating firmware and resetting to factory settings). I'll do a fresh install of version 19-2 when the official version is released on one of my machines and let it go for a few days and slowly update 1 by 1.

I have heard of a similar problem before with Ubuntu:

https://superuser.com/questions/183982/ubuntu-server-9-04-computer-freezes-the-entire-network-periodically

As far as I know, the only "changes" made in 19-2.0 that could be responsible for this are normal Ubuntu updates made in the upgrade script. As such, the next time you try the upgrade, change this line of the script and see if it resolves the issue:
Code:
sudo -- sh -c 'apt update; apt upgrade -y; apt autoremove -y; apt autoclean -y; sudo apt install -y moreutils gawk'

to

Code:
sudo -- sh -c 'sudo apt install -y moreutils gawk'

That will allow you to upgrade to 19-2.0 without updating the underlying Ubuntu OS.

Let us know how it goes.

Hey man, this worked.

I tried another attempt at downloading the 19-2 full release on a few of the rigs, same exact problem happened, they kept taking my router offline. I can have 1 plugged in and that 1 machine will run fine, but the moment I plug in 2 rigs with the ubuntu updates, it'll take the router offline.

Fix -
I put nvOC 19-1.4 back on and then updated them with your suggestion and everything is running smoothly. Thank you

Here's a question regarding telegram. The messages are working fine except that at the very bottom of the message it says:
Critical: *Shows date & Time*
- GPU Utilization is too low: restarting 3 main...

But I login and check the terminal and everything seems to be running fine and no restarts have happened.

This message is popping up at the bottom of every message from every rig online
