If smartcoin is going to start gaining traction trading volume needs to go up. That means people selling and buying... and really we don't have either. If we had a few people trading a couple thousand coins each back and forth, we could get some attention. Poloniex is great with their trollbox. I am willing to move all of my coins (10k) onto the exchange, but without other people buying and selling back and forth it is impossible to actually trade that many coins. I assume that just about everyone that is still active on this forum has as many if not more coins than I do. While there are decent standing buy orders there isn't anyone selling. If we worked together on this we could get new investors in smartcoin and it would benefit everyone. The key here is to place new buy orders once your sell orders are filled. Just my 2 SMC on how to help this coin get traction again.

I am going to try and teach myself to compile and see if I can get it working, but I found a guide that might be helpful for someone a little more technically inclined than me so we can get the windows wallet going. Good luck to anyone who attempts it.

I don't know how to compile either so I certainly don't want to throw the blame around. Now does anyone know how to compile the windows wallet? I'm sure a bounty would be in order for it.

I had been buying what I could, but it looks like Coinex is running off with everyones' coins... anyone else looking to losses from Coinex. (Lesson learned: do not leave coins on exchanges... even overnight) Most of my SMC is in my wallet though.  

Hopefully Coinex will return though... time will tell...

I couldn't agree more. At these prices it won't take much for me to double my amount of coins and bring down my average buy price. Here to stay win or lose. But I plan to win. 

As we start seriously discussing reducing the mining reward, now might be the best chance we ever have to buy in. I am putting what little scraps of btc I have to get as much as possible. If the believers here help pump the coin a bit before the mining adjustment, it will make the transition easier.

I unfortunately got in WAY to early 27000 and 22000 and some more at 10000. At this point selling is no longer an option. I still believe I will eventually see a nice profit though. Looking at the long term. (Or I am delusional  )

I have been playing around a bit on this site. https://doge-dice.com I thought it might be worthwile for the Dev to try and contact the owner and see if he would be willing to setup a smartcoin variant. This could really help transaction volume and be somewhere we could use/invest our coins.

Its an interesting idea but would only benefit early adopters and would cause newcomers to have no confidence in smartcoin.

There seems to be heavy pressure on the entire altcoin market. I think noble is fairly comparable to us. It has dropped from 50 down to 25. It has about a month lead on SMC with an active dev marketplaces etc and is crashing just as bad as we are. The only coins that seem to be doing well are the gimmicky ones like flappycoin. I still believe in smartcoin and i think it will return when the whole market stabilizes.
Be patient stay calm and keep promoting smartcoin. If I am right a little more patience will make us all a little richer. Out of the altcoins i still think Smartcoin has the best potential to be around and popular this time next year.
