How can my address could be wrong if i made all that in the "Exchange" field? If i was transfering btc to ETH, if for any reason the transaction fails, the money should return to where it started.

Sim, eles agora têm uma parte de exchange. Por ignorância minha nunca usei outra wallet sem ser a da Blockchain.info e ao ver a possibilidade de Exchange em parceria com a Shapeshift, avancei para a troca.

A questão é como é que alguém pode ter recebido as minhas coins numa exchange que falha por culpa do serviço? Até pela mensagem de erro penso que era previsível eu receber de volta as coins que transaccionei.

Basicamente o que eu pensava que estava a fazer era passar de BTC para ETH dentro da blockchain.info.

I've tried to exchange on blockchain.info BTC to ETH.

However the trade failed due the following reason:
"Your pending transaction expired before we received your deposit. However - it looks like we dont have a valid return address for you. Please contact our support and reference the following id to receive your deposited coins back: xxxxxxxxxxx"

Well, i've contacted their support and the answer wasn't helpful: ""If it eventually is rejected, then the funds would remain at the bitcoin address they were sent from. The only thing you can do at this point is to wait and see if the transaction is accepted into a block. Like all wallet providers, Blockchain.info has absolutely no control over this, and cannot expedite transactions. This is always dependent upon the bitcoin network of miners, which we are not a part of."

Can you help me on this? What can i do to solve this issue?

Ou seja, eles aqui dizem que quando a transacção é recusada, as coins voltam para o endereço de btc. É muito estranho porque primeiro eles pediram para contactar o suporte e depois dão uma resposta muito geral.

Bem, entretanto já percebi que me devo afastar das exchanges na blockchain.info.
