(im very new *today* so dont get mad with me)

i have a gekko 2pac, i have it setup on my work PC (no elec worries  Wink  lol)
i have it up and running on win7 and working on cgminier BUT... if i make a bat file, it just flashes up for a split second then vanishes.

is a bat file the only was to OC the stick? or can you do it from inside the cgminer?

@echo off
cgminer -o mypool -u username -p x --gekko-2pac-freq150

this is my bat.. what is wrong here? Sad

bitmunkey, a couple bits to help you on your way...
1. You can OC from the command line, simply by adding that frequency call, but not from withing the running cgminer:
Code:
--gekko-2pac-freq 150
2. Your instruction, as typed above is missing a space between the frequency argument and its value
Code:
--gekko-2pac-freq 150
...not
Code:
--gekko-2pac-freq150

Good luck, and happy mining.

Power of lamb, I did a pork loin on the grill. What else was on the menu tonight?

I made a one-skillet sausage and sweet potato hash. Kids weren't fans but the boss and I enjoyed it!

...a Smith+Forge cider washed it down.

Another newbie question and I have read the board but just want to fact check.

If the derp is 0.002 that is what the payout will be 0.002 BTC when a block is hit?

Thank you for your time!!

Mostly, if the current block is solved that would be your payout...if you are in the 150 users that qualifies for the next payout. Otherwise you will be postponed...accumulating toward a larger future payout.

EDIT: For further clarity...looking at the top 100 right now, any amount less than around 0.0037 BTC would be postponed until you are one of longer postponed users or exceed that amount.

Good luck and happy hashing!

With 100Gh this is probably as fine a place for you as any, you are unlikely to find a block, but if you do the reward would be huge. Think of mining here like a lottery...if you win, you win a lot, but your chance of winning is very small.

If you actually want a payout for mining, however small, I would suggest you look at CK's other pool:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1876330.0
ckpool.org

do you know the average of earning using  SPLNS  100ghs  from this pool per day?

It's not much!

You can do the math, but based on current diff you are looking at maybe $0.70 / month, so less than $0.03 / day.

dear I start now my first connection and I have a question

if I will fiend my miner mining did that mean I have found a new block?
if not  how can I know in any time that I have found a new block?
if my miner is now mining  when i will get the payment?
if my miner is mining and i closed it what will hapends  next time  i will open it?

regards

aymantamim, you didn't provide enough information to fully answer all of your questions. But, let me try to help with a few, as best I can...

-if I will fiend my miner mining did that mean I have found a new block? Not at all. Mining is just that, mining...doing work. If you have a block solve then you have found a new block.
-if not  how can I know in any time that I have found a new block? Well, the most obvious sign is that you will magically have ~$80,000 worth of BTC in your wallet! You can see your stats at any time on solo.ckpool.org/user/[your-bitcoin-address] ... further, new solves will are announced here for all to see.
-if my miner is now mining  when i will get the payment? You do not get paid for mining on a solo pool, you will only get a payout if your miner(s) solve/find a block. In which case the mined coins will be deposited directly to you, minus the 1% fee for ck and all his hard work.
-if my miner is mining and i closed it what will hapends  next time  i will open it? This absolutely depends on your miner. If you are using a device, like an Antminer then mining should continue upon restart. If you are using a USB stick like GekkoScience's 2Pac then your the machine it is attached to will have to be configured to resume mining on restate. If you are using a GPU or, gasp, a CPU, then you are doing it wrong.

Good luck, and happy mining.

dear thanks for your answer
I am using a USB n-box  100ghs   and cgminer
iam now mining  so according to your replay I will not get paid from this solo pool

Hello, noob here just pointed a T9 to ckpool yesterday morning. I have a full 24hrs in but there seems to be a difference in the reporting.

My miner is reporting AVG 6.5 but the pool is reporting 4.5 up to 5.0 Hashrate.

Is there an additional config needed for the T9

Thank you

1) Is your T9 damaged, only 6.5TH?
2) And you are only looking at Hashrate (1d / 1hr/ 5min / 1min), correct?

Don't think it is damaged pops sometimes over 7TH on BTC or antpool.  Yes on the 1d.

Welcome Edhhr127,

studio_mining was right to ask about the state of your device. A T9 with proper power should be pulling ~10.5TH, and I have seen some reported up toward 12.5TH. So, regardless of what you getting on BTC or Antpool, it seems something is amiss with your miner. Were I to speculate wildly, I would guess that only two of your hashboards are working.

The next couple questions I would ask are:
-Are all hashboards connected and showing on your miner's 'Miner Status' page? Are all showing all of their ASICs?
-What power supply are you using?
-On your miner, same 'Miner Status' page, do you have a significant number of Rejected shares, versus Accepted? If the former is more than say 1% of the later, then there is certainly something to investigate.

Happy hashing!

Thank you for the Welcome,

I am using bitmain recommended PSU
I am below 1%  but maybe a bit high at 0.6%
All boards running.
Did the firmware update when I first got the unit.

So just if other come up with an issues;

Right now powered down and an resetting.

One more quick follow-up question...are you running that on 110V power (or 220V)?

That guy was here once before, end of July. IIRC, I believe -ck had said it was a big pool failover.

And now the weather's improved down South here so much that I again can't afford to leave any miners on. Anyone want to buy 3 Dragonmint T1s?

Sadly, much the same here! 20° above average today, and probably divesting myself of some equipment.

But, as a small miner, nice to keep getting some payouts from the pool.

Thanks for all you do ck!

My miner keeps showing a crapton of accepts....

what is this?

Those are accepted Shares. Since you're really only looking for a Block solve on this (or any) solo pool you can remove a lot of that noise (and network traffic) by drastically increasing your diff. You currently have it at something like 17, and though the pool will try to auto adjust, it will also respect "suggest-diff"...so I think you can realistically bump that to 10000, though with a Compac-2 you will have much less feedback that all is working. If you want or need that feedback, maybe pick a value a bit lower, 1000 or even 500.

That higher suggest-diff value will quiet things, though under the covers they will be running much the same, just not submitting those low shares.

Good luck mining!

anyone has also issue with using multiple stick on a usb port not working?

Yes, that is common issue. A pair of more of these will easily pull more power than most common hubs can supply. Even a single stick can exceed the capacities of many hubs if the voltage and frequency are increased much.

There's an entire thread dedicated to hubs that work well with these:

Thanks for the offer. I have a need of more then 30 amps (-;. I installed a house fan in a container and it moves a ton of air, what are your requirements for your Exhaust upgrade?

Good day everyone. Just curious, does anyone use Co-Location services here. I have maxed out where I am at and want to keep expanding? I have called a few places but not sure if its a right fit. Looking for any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Jason

I think rifleman has his units hosted. Maybe he'll chime in. Otherwise you can buy me my exhaust upgrade and I'll host free power of a few units till we're even. I have an open 30a 240 line till I get the upgrade but mortgage and stuff as my wife is out of work atm.
I figured, just seemed polite to offer. Smiley

I'm looking at adding a DYI whole house fan for removal to the attic. About 3k CFM should be plenty. In the winter I'll be better off but for summer I've had to power down at least two of four units I currently have when weather temps hit the 90's.

Well, seems I am now in the same boat...shopping for hosting or shutting down. Rates just went up, again, and now I am over $0.14...enough to ensure nothing I have left is profitable.

Hoping for a few more quick blocks before I see the next electric bill!
