Till now, I dont have one. A friend of mine's got two, he is delighted bout the "transportpotential of the heat". And they are running stable, he said.
So my idea, take 10 of them, put waterpipes together and lead it through the underfloor heating......
Just put them in the bathroom and hook them up to the hot water side of your sink and you will have instant hot water.

Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff
You found 2 blocks for Slush's Pool or 2 blocks as a solo miner last week?
With 3.4 TH it would take around 500 or so days to find a block solo mining depending on luck but 2 in 4 weeks HIGHLY doubt it. Even mining in a pool that goes down some but not much. I have 8.6 TH and have only found 3 blocks since ive been here. That being said if you found 2 solo mining go buy a lottery ticked and have sex with an aids infested hooker because thats beyond lucky.

I think I'm gonna go for the BIG GUN and get the 14 inch Can Max Fan 1823 CFM (Really 1700 CFM). However, it is quieter than all 10 inch fans yet has the same CFM if not more that most 12 inch fans have. It also uses less amps than most 12 inch. Since it has larger blades, it does not require as many RPM's to move the same amount of air as a 12 inch. This in turn makes it quieter and more energy efficient [ranges from 213 to 230 watts.
So again, quieter than most 10 inch fans with same CFM or more than most 12 inch fans.
You have to watch this dude getting blown around with this thing on youtube and also SEE THE SIZE OF THIS THING next to him.
I will sell the 8 inch hyper fan on eBay. Someone is going to get a good deal on it. Usually hydroponic growers buy these things.
Not worried about Pulling out more air than the ac can put out? Maybe put it on a thermostat instead of on all the time, or go with a lower cfm setting.

Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff
For instance. The other night I navigated over to BTCGuild. All of a sudden my fan in my laptop starts blowing real hard to do some serious cooling. I'm like, that's not good. So, I went to my activity monitor in my Mac and saw BTC Guild in Safari was using 99% of my CPU. WHY? I believe it was to use my laptop to hash.
I send the owner of the guild a PM telling him about it and 10 to 15 minutes later it stops.
Too much fishy crap going on around here. Well, the owner of the guild is a moderator on here. I never get a response to the PM I sent. The CPU usage just stops and it hasn't occurred anymore.
Seriously??? You realize how unlikely that is (and how it sounds) and even if it was the hashing power would be zilsh....
Ooooh ooooh conspiracy theory. Wait a sec let me get the ex governor Jesse Ventura he lives that shit...

I love the Avalon's they are stable as hell allot more than the bitmains. The interfaces are about the same but a Lil more refined on the Avalon i think anyway. But they are a Lil power hungry and louder than a 747.
Our power bills are about 9-15 k a month anyway and that's with .05 kWh so they really don't care.
JT
Thanks for your opinion on the Avalon's. I'm doing research on them now.
My 8 inch exhaust fan comes in today via UPS. That means more work to do on my data closet.
The one thing i do absolutely love about the Avalon's is that you can overclock on the fly. Say its winter and my server room is on the cold side i can go into the ip overclock it and im done. Dont have to go through putty etc. I got a really good deal on 2 full Avalon Suit's only reason i have them. But i do have to say i love them.
Yeah have fun with putting the fan in. I just pulled a ceiling tile out and put in 2 box fans lol.

Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff
I'm pleased to find my power was cheaper than I previously thought.
Rate Schedule: Alabama Power
Summer (June-Sept) Winter (Oct-May) Base Charge $14.50 Base Charge $14.50 First 1000 kWH $0.077823 First 750 kWH $0.077823 Over 1000 kWH $0.080352 Over 750 kWH $0.065823
I did the math after taxes on my power bill. It ends up being roughly .12 per kWH. The .12 per kWH was based on June through September. Should be cheaper on the next bill which begins October through May.
They penalize me more in the summer if I use MORE than 1000 kWH and actually encourage me to use more in the winter if I use more than 750 kWH.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeet
Shit man my electric bill was $391 last month and that wasnt from miners. All my miners are at my office and my boss pays that bill.
JT
How many mining rigs do you have located at work and what kind of rigs are they?
I will eventually have 23.7 TH/s total; if not more. With 16 S3's and 8 S4's I will be consuming approximately 16,500 watts (16.5 kW) per hour just from the rigs. That does not include the AC, fridge, TV's, etc.
I currently have a couple 3rd gen Avalon's, 6 S3's, 16 S1's so around 8TH. Looking to upgrade or buy more S3's. I'm an IT manager for a CNC manufacturing firm. One day I asked for a raise and my boss couldn't at the time, so I asked him if he would host my miners in exchange for the raise and he agreed. So I have a 12x12 room with ac and 4 30 amp 220v outlets all to my lonesome. I think I got the better deal.
JT
LOL
SWEEEEEEEEEET
Thumbs Up!!!
You need to make him REALLY give you a raise by surprising him one day with double what you have right now. He might be surprised with the power bill.
How's the stability of those 3rd gen Avalon's?
Do you like them more than the S3's?

Now, if I were in the US, I'd be bidding .... each @ $200 including PSU is unreal! I know a few fellas who've paid as much for just the PSU.
I picked up 6 S1's the other day for $39 a pop shipped and they took BTC. So no skin off my butt. Half tempted on that one lol. Hopefully Bitmain brings out more upgrades.
