Protopool says that there is 2.7TH/s to ARGO, but the official block explorer only shows 1.7TH/s... what gives?

Having more coins gives you a higher weight and potentially a better chance at a block - but if you have less coins in more wallets, you essentially have more workers looking for the PoS block.  50 coins is the minimum, recommended was 100+

Just install the wallet, blockchain takes only a few minutes to synchronize since it just came out.

Yes, Wake-On-LAN is an option, but if he is unable to remote into the machine with it being hardlocked or loss of internet connectivity then you can do absolutely nothing remotely since the machine is already on.

You need a device like what Dell DRAC and HP ILO do.

The best option to add-on is a Lantronix Spider KVM, but you must add the Power Control Unit if you want to hard power down the hardware otherwise you can only reboot via the KVM.  Sadly the solution will cost you $500, if you didn't need the hard power down you could find a cheap KVM to at least allow a reboot.

Certainly looks like 80/20 parts I have seen in the past...

I ran 5 Antminer S1's on 2 Corsair RM1000 (Rated for 1000W continuous load) and each were overclocked and running at 200GH/s

A word of wisdom for you... Spend some extra money and buy a Corsair CX500 (32A/456W) on the 12v rail which is perfect for a single Ant + overclocking headroom, can't beat it for $60 from Newegg.

Don't buy cheap on PSU's, clean steady power makes mining much easier when you don't have to worry about it being an issue.
