Re: [WTB] 3 BTC for USPS money order at BitStamp rate (or make offer)
by
juergenschneider
on 03/03/2014, 14:36:34 UTC
I will sell for Bitstamp +8%. We can use escrow if you would like, see the link in my signature line (180+ trade partners, 100% positive feedback). Because of price swings we would have to settle on how much when I physically receive and am able to cash the USPS Money Orders.

Send me a PM if you would like to trade (or open a "buy local contract on my localbitcoins ad)

Not wanting to sound too presumptuous but I just want to give a word of warning about spurious money orders which clear (first) and are recalled (later, usually after a few weeks or even months) when the bank discovers they were not honored after having been found to be non-existent or originally printed somewhere overseas or fraudulent. There have been reports about how checks or money orders will clear and show on the account as available and later bounce--- then the bank holds the account owner responsible and fully liable for the outstanding amount, without prejudice to the bank's further right to press charges.

The fraudulent checks (usually cashier's checks) and money orders have been found to be of a very high caliber.

The OP might have legitimate intentions and I apologize if this is the case but then again I am sharing this with good intentions too.

So, I'm new to this forum and wandering is everything here ''in order'' like this?  Cheesy Because wherever i saw people trying to sell their BTC, majority calls them scammers. There has to be some really cool solution for all this. ha?

The "really cool solution" is for trusted members to take precautionary members when dealing with newbies which is what most of them already do. And another "really cool solution" is for newbies to realize that crime doesn't pay but hey when they hide behind their computer screens what is there for them to fear?

The other "really cool solution" is to invariably use the escrow system here.

My dog just ate my ATM card so will fix this as soon as the banks open on Monday.

The banks opened today but they're out of cards so will fix this as soon as they have some again.

The bank just got new cards but they're out of cash so will fix this as soon as they got some again.

Just got the cash but my dog chewed on them so will fix this as soon as they open next week.

i am attaching my passport scan in here , so you can see im legit Smiley
also you can feel free to call my phone at any time if you wanna verify my identity that way , video call on skype available too

Here is the passport pic he sent me:    http://imgur.com/a/5ailt

I googled "israeli passport" and the samples i found on wikipedia and the web shows passports with photos with a white background. I then googled further to check what kind of photo one must have to apply for an israeli passport and the Israeli passport authorities say it should be WHITE! I know 100% that EU countries are super strict with ID photo specifications and so it is strange to see an passport with a photo of someone with background looking like a living room or office.

I immediately called Deutsche Bank and asked them to put a stop on the transfer of 834 Euros to his account in Greece. I did this when I found more incriminating info here:

Please be careful, everyone out there.

I need 5 BTC and will pay by German national bank transfer (Bankueberweisung or SEPA). Can pay either Bitstamp or Bitstamp + 5% (at most).

I will send first but only to a trusted member here or a member with a German or EU account.

Fraud is not a nice word and I despise fraudsters. I can spot a scam from a mile away so please leave the tricks at home.

Thanks. / Vielen Dank.

All my wife's United miles + a portion of mine sold to a member of this forum. The rest of the UA Mileage Plus miles are tentatively committed to another forum user.

I am not entertaining additional offers. Please do not make any offers for these United miles.

Remaining miles available: my wife's Emirates account (for those flying to Dubai or destinations served by Emirates).

Hey there,

Can you give me a BTC price for First/Business Class DCA to LHR, no more than 1 stop, 30 days out from today (subject to change), any day of the week out and back, 7-9 day stay. Obviously, you buy the ticket for miles in my name.

Probably PM is the best way to handle this, if you are interested.

Thank you for the offer.

Return date is retro-adjustable to April 4 or 5 (or even 6 and 7). Queried a multi-day systemwide availability and did a shot on the 16th. Earlier days are available for the LHR-DCA flight segment as shown in the second of three uploaded images on the imgur link I provided above.

First class tends to be more flexible as not many have the (financial and mileage) resources to book them. Plus Premier 1K members (of which my wife and I are members) are entitled to less restrictive capacity controls.

I might be interested in some of your miles.

How would this work? Can you transfer the miles or something, or would you send a redeemable voucher?

How many miles counts for, say, a round trip, domestic US flight?

Typically, for a round trip saver award ticket, you will need 25K miles. This applies to domestic flights within the 48 contiguous U.S. states. For flights ex-U.S. gateway airports bound for Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean destinations, Mexico etc you would be looking at 30 to 35K miles. Higher mileage figures apply for flights to South America and of course for destinations across both the Atlantic and Pacific. This is for economy class. Gateway airports are, typically, ORD SFO JFK DFW EWR SFO BOS and a few more.

If flying business and first class, expect to use more miles.

You appear to be selling for <1/3 what you will be paying UA to do the transfer.

"There is a cost of US $0.015 per mile and the processing fee per transaction is $30."

To address and resolve that issue, I very rarely transfer, in fact I almost always decline transfer requests. Processing and transfer fees only apply if miles are moved from one account to another. There is no fee if or when tickets are booked directly on my account.

There is also the issue of seat availability so for those interested I must first check your itinerary and contemplated travel dates against the airline's capacity controls.

My friend's mom just called my mom. He hanged himself. Left a note saying sorry and it was because of 934 coins lost.
This is devastating. Never thought it would lead to this. I knew these past few days he spent over a hundred real coins in buying Gox ones.

Need United Airlines miles? Selling mine for 0.01 BTC @ Bitstamp rate for every 1K miles. Wife has miles too so if you are one of those who enjoy flying in style (business or first class) these miles are one of the most cost-effective ways to travel without breaking the bank.

Escrow is fine.

437,461 miles available.

United Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance group of airlines. As such, their frequent flyer programs work interoperably and systemwide. What this means is miles earned on flights operated by any of the member airlines can be used to book award tickets for flights operated by other airlines within the Star Alliance airline network. You can fly with Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines and other Star Alliance operators. Google "star alliance" for a list of these airlines.

Re: Buy Bitcoins - $5.00 Starter Packs

You realize scammers can reverse payments, this is why the 1 - 3 day delay is in place.

Then why not offer irreversible payment methods instead? Given the volatility and uncertainties in this market, delivery that long can compromise the coin's value. If the markets dip on delivery day, then one ends up with potentially $2 or $3 worth of coins for a payment of $5.
