Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin?

Well, normal miners have nearly no chance of breaking even, not to speak making a profit. Only some can do it, maybe because they have free power or a good place to host for cheap. But even then it is risky and most see it as a hobby. Or some deceive themself with calculation tricks. Like calculating a rising bitcoin price into. They would have come better buying bitcoins from the start then. And so on.

And no, difficulty can only be lowered when less miners mine. If you would lower them artificially then simply more miners would be profitable and more miners would start their miners. This can't solve this.

There is simply no right to mine profitable. And we have way way too many miners anyway. One transaction on the bitcoin network eats a huge amount of electricity. Not healthy for the fame of bitcoin.

I believe rumors always affect bitcoin value that happen last month when some exchange weren't processing something i don't remember the problem and price went from 300 to 180 dollars in a flash moments, then to recover hell it took sometime, soo say that is impossible bitcoin being worth 0 dollars is insane,if a problem ,that bitcoin should have one,and someone may find it,it can easy kill the altcoins, but i doubt can happen otherwise crypto world would die with bitcoin i doubt others altcoins can survive without the father or the king.People connect bitcoin as some scam attempt or black market currency.

Interesting. So, it must be between two 21 Raspberry Pi computers... I wonder if it is similar to Sidechain or other similar ideas...

I don't really quite get it. What's the point of it? Would this sidechain help on the main bitcoin blockchain network?

My crypto dream is that I could buy anything at a mall through my bitcoin. I know it is a little far or maybe just a dream . But just like what is said it is a WISH. Maybe someday it might come true. But surely be careful what you wish for.  Grin

In my point of view bitcoin is never going to disappear, if something like that was about to happen it would lose popularity at worst case scenario. it would become a relic of old ages and pioneer of cryptos. But i doubt anything like that happens because bitcoin has a lot of potential and still have a lot of room to grow and better itself. Worst case scenario it will be part of a museum  Grin

Imposing the charge of tax for bitcoin transaction is totally fruitless. There's no way to linking civilian identities to transactions in current governemnt procedures. This will take maybe some decades before it tuns into a real problem for bitcoin users.

Meu deus do céu

Bitcoin is Not The Next Logical Step To Solve Financial Woes

No one in the financial world will deny the current situation is going to cause a lot more issues down the line. Stock markets are in shambles, oil prices are crippling economies, and investors have no idea where to put their money right now. Bitcoin seems to hold all of the answers, but people remain very wary of the popular digital currency that is not controlled by banks or governments.

Depending on whom you pose the question to, the fundamentals of traditional finance are either sound or need to be revamped completely. Everyone in the world can see that “sound” is not a word that comes to mind when talking about the current global economy. Right now, the financial sector is in a vicious negative spiral, and there is no sign of improvement in the near future.

While the world economy might appear to be expanding on a global scale, the growth is weak and very uneven. When major countries, such as China, are seeing a stagnation and retrace of their economic growth, things are looking all the bleaker for other countries around the world. Needless to say, the year 2016 will be filled with challenges to overcome, and the IMF growth forecast is not favorable.

Bitcoin Services Show How Being Finance-Agnostic Can Be Beneficial To Consumers

Bitcoin exchanges will let customers add several bank accounts if they prefer to do so. In return, this gives consumers plenty of ways to cash out their Bitcoin balance, should something ever happen to one of their banks. With the financial crisis looming overhead, it is not unthinkable some banks might go out of business in the years to come.

Let’s assume somebody is using the Kraken Bitcoin exchange, and they have a particular bank account associated with that platform. This account has been used to both fund and withdraw the Kraken balance, and nothing has gone wrong with these transactions. Granted, not all banks are lenient when it comes to buying and selling Bitcoin, but let’s assume his particular bank is.

Gavin Andresen Requests Feedback for His Version of BIP-102

Block size debate, who is not familiar with it? The arguments are slowly cooling down as most of the Bitcoin community is favoring Bitcoin Classic. Bitcoin Classic proposes an increase of block size from 1 MB to 2 MB to accommodate growing transactions on the Bitcoin network.

Bitcoin Classic calls for a hard fork in the blockchain to introduce the change in block size. Recently in an email, Gavin Andresen has called for constructive feedback for his variation of Jeff Garzik’s BIP-102. BIP-102 was proposed by Jeff Garzik, one of the few Bitcoin Core developers last year. Like Bitcoin Classic, BIP-102 also calls for a 1 MB increase in block size.

While asking for feedback on the modified BIP-102 proposal, Gavin Andresen provides insights to his rationale behind certain points made in the proposal. In an ordinary circumstance, increasing the block size is not a very big deal. Making a small change in the code, where maximum block size limit is changed by 1 MB to 2 MB should do the trick. However, in reality especially with lots of people relying on the blockchain for bitcoin transactions and miners constantly working to process these transactions while they search for new blocks makes such a simple modification impossible. In order to make the transition as smooth as possible, a series of codes needs to be modified and tested q multiple times for any bugs that can potentially break the Bitcoin network.
