The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 6.0a from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.0a_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.0a_Linux.tar.gz

The new features in this release are:
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older
    cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

The updated list of known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:
AMD Linux driver 21.40.1 has a bug preventing proper setting of clocks and voltages on older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII). Given that these drivers are also
usually slower than the older drivers for these cards, we recommend using Linux drivers 20.30 for anything older than RX6000 series.
If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer
cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

for those that have helped even a little so far thank you very much but im starting to think its my PC OS and not my miner or moonlander i can not seems to get any miner to run stable on my system at all ( CPU, GPU, Moonlander... nothing) is there anything anyone could think of that could cause this? im on Windows 10 64bit

Could be your drivers need updating?
what would i need to update and how?

Yea thats definitely an issue of not enough power on the port. Like others have said run it on the lowest frequency and see if it runs stable.
is there anything else it could be because im starting to think its not the moonlander but my PC and not the USB either because i have a CPU miner that i use for Magi and it is stopping on its own as well it looks like.
change this setting (--set MLD:clock=600)
to
(--set MLD:clock=384)
and see what happens.

Tried this and still have the same issue.
Dang fam, that's all I can think of.  My next move would be find a powered hub on Amazon or something, there are several listed throughout this thread, and see if that does it.  Remember you need something like 2.1~2.5 amps per port.
and this isnt standard for a desktop PC's USB 3.0 ports? sorry but im rather new to all of this and am still learning
Totally cool, we all started somewhere.
I don't think it's a standard.  I think that's more relative to the specific hardware.  On my laptop one usb port will run a moonlander but the other one won't lol.  If you do look for a hub make sure it does data transfer as well as provide the power.  I accidentally bought a charging hub that didn't do data transfer. I'm pretty sure eyeboot has a cheap 2 port hub that will provide enough power to run one Moonlander.
and once again could this be something else not related to my BFGminer or moonlander? because it ssems that even my CPU miner that i use for MAGIcoin (which isnt bfgminer or my moonlander) is just stopping itself for no reason at all it seems as well.
but on my raspberry pi  ive had m-cpuminer-v2 running mining magi for DAYS now with no issues at all (pi is only mining magi bought it for the moonlander to make a starters rig but then realized soon after that i need the powered usb hub so thats why i started with the moonlander on my windows 10 pc)

What does your command line look like?

still newer to all this what do you need to see?
Did you create a .bat file or edit the config file?
edited the Start_Moonlander2.bat file with

bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://emc2.suprnova.cc:3366 -u juggalonoke.juggalonoke -p 1,d=1  -S MLD:all --set MLD:clock=600
pause

no matter what coin in the scrypt algo i mine my miner just stops and shows what my screen shots show
Have you tried setting the diff to something higher?
yes i have. even with default values set up and mining to the recomended litecoinpool.org my lander will only mine for a most a few minutes before the second screen shot is what i see and i have to full close BFGminer and unplug the moonlander and restart BFGminer
What kind of power supply are you working with?
usb 3.0 thats built into my windows based tower
Have you checked to be sure that the device manager isn't shutting the usb off?

how?
Open your device manager, right click on the com your usb is on, properties.  Check under the power managment tab.  There is an option in there
this did not work its still doing the same thing.
Darn, any chance you have a usb Volt meter, so you can verify your port is putting out enough?  Or try running the Moonlander on like the 350mhz, or whatever the lowest mhz setting is.
no i dont have one at all.

Hello I am new to mining and this is my very first attempt at it with the moonlander. It seems like a great product but im having issues keeping mine running as you can see below this is what it looks like for at MOST 3 minutes.
http://s138.photobucket.com/user/obliviousmuse/media/moonlander%20screenshot%202_zpszwancmvz.png.html

but then very soon after i end up with this screen...
https://s138.photobucket.com/user/obliviousmuse/media/moonlander%20screenshot_zpsnwvahi0y.png.html

mind you i am a COMPLETE NOOB and have no idea what im looking at really i was given this miner as a gift and am enjoying it other then not being able to keep it running. when it is hashing correctly i can see the work registering into my pool account. The Moonlander is fresh out of the box no changes it it at all. any help at all would be amazing please.

can someone please help me with this issue i still dont know what is making it happen and ive tried everything i can think of.
