Bitcoin hedead to zero?
The former ceo of paypal Bill harris said that, bitcoin's value will continue to dwindle until it gets "eventually a whole lot closer to zero."and saying that there's just no value in bitcoin and "Bitcoin makes no revenue, no profitability."
he also called the cryptocurrency is a
"colossal pump-and-dump scheme, the likes of which the world has never seen."
I think this is non-sense, what about you?

Source: cnbc

Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency?

Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.

Yes the world is ready for cryptocurrency because from now on digital cryptocurrency is changing the world same of the investors are investing more than they want in the future it will be succesfull because same of the people know the usefull of cryptocurrency.

Emotional and mental aspects are commonly interrelated to each other. It commonly deals with our mind and heart. They can't be isolated and one can't remain solitary. In mental viewpoint, it really enable us to think whether it will be great or not. Your understanding will going to test your passionate angle. Bitcoin's impact is interdisciplinary, along these lines what we feel, will be what we think.

It's really a real epic of me emotional that I'm crying so when I cash out on bitcoin it's a great help to my family bitcoin changed my life here in bitcoin.

Re: Starbucks accepting Bitcoin soon? Nope!
by

I’m a long time frappeholic of Starbucks, and I usually hanging out myself or with my friends there. There is a news plus a video from CNBC that Starbucks would finally accept Bitcoin soon.

However, it won’t happen as of this time as Starbucks clarifies media misrepresentation.

Take a look here guys: https://cointelegraph.com/news/no-coffee-for-bitcoin-starbucks-clarifies-as-media-misrepresent-its-new-crypto-venture

At first, I was excited because I am a long time customer of Starbucks in a local mall. But this was just sad.

I'm a regular subscriber of starbucks but I think it's just better when starbucks accepts payment by bitcoin because it's easier to pay for bitcoin if you do not have the money that bitcoin is paying you more.

Re: Bitcoin has no competition
by

All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.

Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.

Yes bitcoin is no competition like in the business fast food if there are jollibee meron mcdonalds they have compilation but here at bitcoin nothing because it is crypto digital currencies.

Re: Who will benefit the most from bitcoin/cryptocurrency?
by

on 09/08/2018, 04:16:58 UTC
I have a friend who is interested in getting into bitcoins but he does not have a lot of savings or any major investments. He also has a lot of debts to pay and has an average wage job with a family of 4 to raise. When we were talking yesterday, I thought: who really would benefit the most from investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Can those who are like my friend get into bitcoin even though he has no major investment? Or is bitcoin only for those who can afford it?

Previously, my employer just got a little bit of a salary and I got a lot of debts here when your investment in bitcoin was the first one to get your benifits here in your family and of course you all want to buy you do not think who will benefit from it when you invest what you should think of your family your benifits here are great and will really help your family.

Re: Do you keep your coins physically secure?
by
julielyn
on 09/08/2018, 04:09:28 UTC
We're all aware of the risks of keeping our coins on online wallets and exchange wallets, but many of us still keep our coins on our own devices.

Are we keeping our devices secure? Its instinctual to not leave your fiat money wallet unattended in a public place but what about your bitcoin wallet? Are you leaving leaving the laptop you're writing your novel on the table at Starbucks when you go the bathroom? The laptop with your electrum wallet, your life savings.

Where does the line between paranoia and reasonable physical security meet?

Yes i secure safety my all tokens I do not share my private key I'm the one who transacts your tokens to avoid losing my tokens even in my family I do not say it all my account I only know .

Re: The primary idea of bitcoin
by
julielyn
on 09/08/2018, 03:28:01 UTC
Hello,

I would like to discuss about the primary idea of bitcoin of Mr. Nakamoto. Was he a/is he a person who wanted to make world better place, to take from rich and give to poor, to create new elite? What I am linking to is that at the moment large mining farms, bitcoin visioneers who started in early 2010-2013 now have most of bitcoins and sad (my oppinion) truth is that they will keep growing than most of society stays in poverty.

I think it is socially incorrect situation as it is because I think primary and main idea of bitcoins was to make world a better place to live, to shorten gap between rich and poor, educated and non educated people...

And finally happened what happened, rich got only very small percentage, while others live as they lived before...

What is your oppinion? What was real primary idea of bitcoin? Are we on a right way as Nakamoto visioned?

The main idea of bitcoin is to make everyone who trusts and invest in bitcoin to make it harder than ever in the world we do not need to work so we can improve ourselves by investing and trusting bitcoin .

Re: Don't worry, Bitcoin will be fine.
by
julielyn
on 09/08/2018, 03:01:16 UTC
why does everyone start to panicking when they see the price of Bitcoin dropping so much, in my opinion it is natural that the price of Bitcoin falls because Bitcoin has experienced the same thing as now, so I suggest not to be afraid and panic.

we will see from this graphic :
1. On April 29, 2013 the price of Bitcoin was only $ 135.30
https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcj87AFpnNdqbPdRVYBJB6Zd8bSjmMqqp8kHjiMEszyrP/b4.jpg

2. and on November 30, 2013 the price of Bitcoin increase high at the price of $ 1,149.14
https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcngKTWQYbDvg2KWSd2rwUsZTpFMuyMraeHxBADHAfXar/b1.jpg

3. then on January 2, 2014 the price of Bitcoin decreased at a price of $ 773.40 and on December 31, 2016 the price of Bitcoin began to increase again
https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmV8DNWMg2BfWNha7QUWuQXfvu7DEHR39a96k85fzPJCsp/b123.png

4. and the price of Bitcoin began to rise high at the price of $ 19,783.30 on the 17th of December 2017
https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRHe7w2gCeo8z7GTsY8N7xo5PnDmJdrSnk7pvyQjnikBx/b2.jpg

and as we know, now the price of Bitcoin at $ 6,948.46 and this is indeed down very far compared to prices on December 17, 2017, but it has already happened in 2014 where the price of Bitcoin dropped very far and it continues until 2016 and in 2017 finally Bitcoin prices start to increase again (it takes around 3 years to make Bitcoin prices rise). so from that, I'm sure the price of Bitcoin will increase again even though the time needed is not short.

I did not like to boycott because I knew that bitcoin would be ok with no special effects even when the bitcoin dropped because I knew bitcoin was going to be okay enough to believe that the bitcoin was good and that I did not have much confidence in bitcoin.

Re: Everyone is free to use Bitcoin as they want
by
julielyn
on 09/08/2018, 02:57:39 UTC
There's an ongoing debate in and outside of Bitcoin community regarding the economic nature of Bitcoin: is it a currency or an asset, a store of value, settlement layer and so on. The situation with ETF's also sparked some debates, as some argue that ETF's are bad and Bitcoin should stick to its cypherpunk roots and ignore the mainstream.

I think all sides kinda miss the point of Bitcoin. Bitcoin was created so people can send coins directly to others, without any mandatory middleman. Therefore, every use case is as legit as any other use case, it doesn't violate the freedom of any other user of the network. It doesn't even matter if Satoshi wanted Bitcoin to be a decentralized currency that will kill banks, because one of the principles of Bitcoin is censorship resistance, so if some people want to use centralized services, want regulated environments, speculation and so on, it's their right. All those things have no effect on people who want to use Bitcoin as an alternative currency.

So, I think there is no single answer to whether Bitcoin is an asset or a currency, everyone decides for themselves, because freedom is the ultimate point of Bitcoin.

Yes, as I all say is free to use bitcoin many sites how to bitcoin and many crypto currencies and data exchanges you can go to so you bitcoin so I can say that anybody is free to bitcoin.

Re: Crypto exchanges not helping Bitcoin!
by
julielyn
on 09/08/2018, 02:41:48 UTC
With all of these new exchanges popping up here there and everywhere, i am seeing a very common theme and it's one i don't like AT ALL and i feel it gives bitcoin/crypto a bad reputation in general.

What am i talking about? Trading competitions! Where you can win XXX amount of whatever crypto for being the most active or hitting a certain limit. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure there are a few people out there who will do alright from these deals, but i imagine the vast majority end up losing in the short term or the long run.

For me, its targeting the wrong audience. It does absolutely nothing toward our hallowed "mass adoption" hopes, and its encouraging gambling all so that the said exchange can make a profit in fees!

Yet we wonder why the SEC are so reluctant to give crypto its blessing!  Roll Eyes

Whats your thoughts?

Actually, the crypto exchanges in bitcoin really help very much because you can see where your tokens exchanges and where you market it can trade and you can convert it to bitcoin i can say that big three to me the crypto exchanges.

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

wow the size is lost to be our lesson that we do not just trust the private key to whom we can avoid being like him or maybe we will break the btc.

My suggestion to everyone would be to be calmed, don't be greedy, have a patience in everything. Success will definitely touch your feet, never ever quit. Bitcoin's price is always volatile, as we see it's dump price and the market is red, never lose hope.

Always remember this one " He who quits does not succeed, he who succeeds does not quit".

The only bitcoin I can advise is to despair if you look at the money that it's worth to lose it because it takes time not just when you bitcoin you will get it right here the bitcoin process should be you follow.

Anytime i see some members of this forum asking "Is Bitcoin dead"?, or "Is this the fall of bitcoin" i just become speechless because it is so shocking to hear that within just six months when bitcoin improved the financial status of people last year without any hard sweating people have forgotten about it so soon. I now understand the saying that "Men forgets easily". Well i can't really blame them but I know the few Real Crypto Enthusiasts like myself still believe in BITCOIN and we are going to keep investing in it because we know that the its value will rise with time.

Re: BITCOIN won't die, period.
by
julielyn
on 02/08/2018, 09:44:47 UTC
As you can see that BTC is the largest crypto among all in the market, I just really do not understand why people like to claim that BTC is about to die, do not easily fall for these kinds of topics and think that Bitcoin is dying, put some research on it, its just another person's opinion but again it is misleading. One last thing before you reply, this is extremely important and might be a big help for you (especially for newbies) avoid agreeing with such wrong info given to you, be sure to take extra care in replying, and the most important part of all is that you should make some research and do not forget to read the thread (if necessary) it is also important as you can gain new information from other people, though just make sure that what you are reading is very much legitimate.

Thank you and feel free to respond, I wanna see your insights about this.

Yes bitcoin will not die because the bitcoin foundation firmly is a lot of investors here so it's less likely that bitcoin will die.

Re: Is it possible to have bitcoin shortage?
by
julielyn
on 02/08/2018, 09:41:18 UTC
I do not think that bitcoin will be enough if the whole people around the world will going to buy bitcoins. There will be too much shortage on bitcoin supply and this will lead also to have an expensive market price for bitcoin. As we all know that there are billions of people around the world and bitcoin supply is only limited. So meaning to say in the near future there will be a shortage for bitcoin supply and thus will lead to create another dominant coin like having ether as one of the possibilities that it will be the next to bitcoin. As of this moment i am seeing this already closely to happen. What do you think?

In my opinion, bitcoin is not going to be lacking because many crypto currencies that come to fruition are likely to fail.
